  1. You have a gaming PC also don’t @Shorty? If so I’d say that limits the potential of the console some as many of its best games are also on PC.

Rare Replay Sunset Overdrive and Halo 5 are the ones that stand out most to me as only being available on the console and worth playing. If you don’t have a gaming PC there are still a number of other titles worth playing that elevate the console above just getting a standalone 4K player.

The BC does work well though and there are some rarer titles available I believe.

  2. I said in my post the forums ate for sustenance that the roadmaps dont line up. Navi is 2019 earliest. Which directly contradicts their 2018 possible release. So while they have Duh style predictions they’re not fully thought out predictions.

I debased myself enough to click that link. Off of that first post with a small summary all I can truly say is DUUUUUUHHH. They’re hitting it out of the park with easy predictions, what next they’ll leak that the graphics are Vega based and use Rapid Packed Math?

  4. I was under the impression that consoles could utilize both methods at the same time. Install from the disc while simultaneously downloading further data. I could be wrong though.

Unless something has changed though I thought Internet was not required. I.E. perhaps try disconnecting the console and then attempting the install.

Another thing to keep in mind though is that Doom has received a number of substantial updates. There will be a fair amount of data not present on the disc.

It’s an older article but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft has not addressed the issue yet. Basically even with Discs the console (used to?) default to downloading the data regardless.

Eleven, 11 damage, Dragon Quest XI (11).

The number 11 three times...3...Half Life 3 confirmed.

    YES, I DID IT.

Half-Life 3xDragon Quest XIxStranger Things. Gordon Freeman travels to Alfgard (I don’t think that’s correct....) to rescue the kids. He teams up with Papa Steve to defeat the demogorgon.

  6. I haven’t finished season 2 and it’s a bit more grounded than season 1 but overall ehhh. I stopped around episode 12 or 13 I think.

Still easily better than Iron Fist or The Punisher. Punisher was plain not good. At least Iron Fist had some Run the Jewels in it.

  7. Yeah, the initial charm doesn’t carry the game well. It’s still beautiful and expressive, but does so little with that capability. Certain areas are purely tedious due to the ineffectiveness of weapons. And the world feels less than fleshed out.

  8. I don’t know man. If you feel you have to force to play the game just to try and support a studio which...lets face it, it’s nostalgia at this point. Last great game was Viva Piñata series and arguably Nuts and Bolts....a decade ago.

They just don’t have it anymore, maybe it is time to shutter the doors.

  9. I play my Switch nearly exclusively in handheld mode and with the exception of (early release doom) most games play flawlessly.

I have now encountered a certain fire spewing boss and when he spews fire the frame rate absolutely chugs. I’m talking single digits, it’s pretty awful and kind of ruins an otherwise fun battle.

Also ruining the battle was that the software crashed exactly as I completed the fight :/

edit; on the plus side the game saved and loaded right there at the cutscene so nothing was lost except time.

  10. Having ridden horses plenty in my life, a well trained horse can be controlled just by the pressure from your legs. Agro just controls poorly, lots of oversteer and understeer for no reason and poor pathing. They’ll follow a beaten trail prettt much by themselves at full tilt.

Something like Red Dead Redemption or Breath of the Wild is a bit closer to actually riding.

Complaining about how long it takes Wander to get up is silly though. I get that it’s annoying but  going back to personal experience coming off a horse you don’t just always bounce back up. There’s a time period where you’re breathing and gathering your bearings before you even try and move.

  11. I’m honestly surprised this game didn’t already have a thread of its own actually.

I went into this pretty blind honestly. I think I recall hearing the name prior to my purchasing it but I didn’t really know anything.

No regrets, it’s a unique and fun game and so far a intriguing story. And the pixel art is just beyond detailed. And even when there isn’t much detail everything is so damn expressive. I really feel for Otus. Like the opening segment got to me.

Controls take some getting use to but are perfectly functional. I just get a bit all thumbs with it. And every once in a while I do experience a bit of lag but within seconds the lag is gone. I’m guessing it’s related to just loading the area rather than intensity.
