@Shorty How kaput is your head gasket? https://www.amazon.com/Bars-HG-1-Blown-Gasket-Repair/dp/B003RGIWO0
Could be a cheap temporary fix. Key word is temporary. Follow the instructions (obviously) but it’s pretty simple, dump it in your radiator and it cycles through finds the leak(s) and flows through them and seals.
If the gasket is far too gone though you’ll likely not have much luck. And regardless if it does work it’s not permanent. An actual metal/cork gasket isn’t permanent so...yeah.
Worth a try maybe, just to keep the car mobile for emergency but still not in use.

Doom on switch might not be a proper indication you’re unable to use traditional dual stick controls, especially comparing to Metroid Prime. Metroid is a slower more methodical type of combat, and Doom is high speed high intensity twitch combat. Also (I only did portable mode) Doom on Switch was very hard for me to play compared to on PS4 with a more proper controller.
Though I suspect on the Switch I would be able to play fine using the TV and a pro controller, so if you have used that method and still find it to be a no go, then you’re probably right.

Well I’ve heard that the Dutch traditionally use ice skates to get around in the winter anyways.

Put me in Dual Analogue camp. With some caveats, none of that look spring shit. That was probably the hardest bit to get to grips with on the GameCube for me.
Motion controls worked but I’m just so over them really. I’m not opposed to them being an option for those that prefer but, I certainly don’t prefer.

Just pick a series and start. Near as I can tell it’s all just a big setting but multiple different series focusing on their own characters. Think Harry Potter vs Fantastic Beasts. Same setting different stories.

Enjoyable series, I occasionally rewatch firefly, less often Serenity (it suffers from the time gap and movie format). A further series would be fun to watch but I don’t pine for it overall I’m quite alright with what was received. No plan to read any of it though, that’s not the medium I wish to experience it.
At the same time though, fuck Fox. They needlessly killed (well I suppose it’s not truly killed anymore) a series that had a strong start and potential.

Searching whiskey (dunno even why i did) is a good way to find this thread. Almost inexplicably the posts are mostly mine and martinist.

Went into public toilets and there was a guy snorting cocane in the stall next to me. Why do I live in such a shit hole...At least you have public toilets up in Scotland, silver linings and all that.
I don’t know man, I’ve seen Trainspotting.

The hell do use for mouthwash?! They’re exactly nothing alike. I can understand if you don’t like it but if it’s comparable to mouthwash I must assume you need to get your tastebuds checked.
Upon reading about it on Wikipedia apparently “flavored” root beer is a thing. I’ve never seen anything like that, much less a wintergreen type.
The typical root beer flavor is based in molasses and kind of hard to describe. Not minty and not really beer like either.

Nope, nothing like Ginger Beer. Well the core concept is the same, but is based in Sarsaparilla instead of Ginger.

1313 wasn’t a mess to my knowledge. It was only ever handled by LucasArts, Disney bought Lucas Film and shortly after they decided Lucas Arts was no longer a developer and shuttered all projects.

I give up on trying to get these to embed. I blame Imgur being a miserable sack that consistently removes more and more user functionality.

Before 1918, no women could vote, and only older men could (I don't know what the age limit was before this).
After 1918, women older than 30 could vote, and they lowered the male voting age to 21.
I think that pretty much agrees with Jimbob? We're basically the same person anyway. We're both a bob.I am in fact, dumb. Completely misinterpreted the original message and then convinced myself you were contradicting what I had wrong. I read it as women having a vote but only if they were younger than 30.
One of those days I guess.

4 hours ago, bob said:No, before that no women could vote. When they allowed them the vote, they set the limit to be 30 and older, while men could be 21 and older. So not completely equal, but a large step in the right direction.
And the voting age is now 18 (perhaps 16 in Scotland for council elections?)
Your information is contradictory to Jimbobs opening post.
-
Wait what...what were the age limits before? What was the thought behind women having to be younger than 30 to vote?! And how old did a man have to be?
I knew the US was backwards with how long it took us to let women vote but at least we didn’t say they could be too old.
Now im curious though, is voting still limited to 21 and older or not?
And I concur, hunger strike is an odd commemoration. Probably fitting I suppose.

Yeah I binged through Altered Carbon over the weekend. It was quite enjoyable. There was a certain portion I felt was a slog, but that was at the tail end of watching a large block of the show. Likely wouldn’t have felt as slow otherwise.
The show definitely has a Blade Runner vibe to it.
As for Cloverfield. Neat way to announce/release but can’t say I care for the east coast timeframe of release. I’ll watch it at some point. Never finished the original but quite liked the second film.

My first foray was also MHtri on wii and then MH3Ultimate on Wii U. On the Wii I just felt like I was battling the controls most of the time, really made it harder to get into than the actual mechanics. Also that I didn’t really have anyone to co-op with.
On the Wii U the controls seemed more manageable, but that just could’ve been me being more experienced from Souls games.
Haven't gotten World yet, but I think I’ll have a much easier time getting into the game. It sounds more solo friendly and closer to a Bloodborne esque playstyle. I can handle those controls for sure.

So, no ones mentioned it here, just saw on a stream of Celeste that Theo actually does have an Instagram, and it details some of his life prior to the game. In fact, the posts go back to May (I think) 2017.
