    11 March 2015

Drones will be released on 8 June 2015!

From Matt: “To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

The first single from Drones, “Dead Inside,” will debut the week of 23 March. Preorder for the new album will be available tomorrow at 7:30pm GMT, along with the new song “Psycho.”

Personally, I thought their last album was terrible (and this is coming from a massive Muse fan), but I'm stoked for this! They've promised to strip away the electronic and orchestral elements, and go back to basics with this one. Cannot wait to hear Psycho tomorrow!

  3. I got this on release, and completed it a few hours ago. The reviews are definitely far too harsh, this game is great. Definitely a solid 7.5/8 out of 10! It's a unique experience, and worth a playthrough. Although the length is a bit too short for my liking, so I'd suggest picking this up after a price drop.

The real crime of this game is that Patrick Stewart doesnt seem to be voicing any characters. Everytime a new character comes on screen I keep expecting his voice lol

Haha, so it wasn't just me thinking this, then? I was surprised he wasn't in it. Maybe in a potential sequel?

Yeah I've heard the story ends quite abruptly, which can only be a good thing in that there's a sequel planned. Enter The Order 1887!

It certainly leaves it open enough for a sequel, although the bad reception makes me worry that there won't be one. I hope it does happen, it truly deserves a second title, Ready At Dawn have created an amazing world!

  4. So people are saying the world looks sparse and nowhere near completion. Whilst I can agree, bear in mind that this is a carefully set up demo, to show how the game is coming along. If anything, this was to show off a few new features, and the scale of the game world. More of a little teaser before E3. Also, bear in mind, a lot can happen in a year, and it's likely Nintendo have a ton of people working on this, many of them probably being industry veterans. I honestly can't see it being out any earlier than next October at the very earliest, so there's plenty of time.

Personally, I think it looks stunning. It looks like they've nailed the open-world aspect, and the new gameplay features look fantastic. Definitely going to be getting a Wii U for this!

  5. I really don't get why the hell this is happening in the UK*, it's an AMERICAN holiday thing. I'm going to be avoiding shopping at all over the weekend, seeing how mental people are going is fucking ridiculous!

*I know, I know... because MONEY. :heh:

  6. Instead of making a thread for each festival, I thought it'd be a better idea to combine it into a thread.

So, let's kick this off, shall we? Is anyone planning to go to Download next year? The line-up is looking amazing so far!

Although there's plenty of idiots complaining about Muse because they're not "proper rock" or "metal". But what do they know? :P

Other than that, there's Resistanz and Infest Festivals that look good, if you're into Industrial music...

  7. Bloodborne moved to March 2015.

Im ok with this, considering The Witcher will most probably consume my game time in February.

Seriously though, it's only a month later, and it does make more sense with The Order due out around the same time...

  8. The Dark Below release date announced - 9th December! Here's to lowdown on what you'll get for £20 (unless you have the season pass...)

New weapons, armour and gear to earn, including Legendary and Exotic items

Light Level cap raised to 32 and five additional Bounty slots added

New story quests and missions – after years hiding amongst the Hive shadows, a new character, Eris, has come forth bearing an ominous warning: The Hive seek to summon a god, Crota, to destroy the Earth. Find Eris in the Tower to take on special quests that include three new missions where you will increase your Light and earn new rewards

New co-operative Strike, The Will of Crota, pits you and your Fireteam against Omnigul as she works to expand the Hive army at the command of her master, Crota

    Three new competitive multiplayer arenas

-Pantheon – set deep within the Black Garden in an ancient Vex temple that features Vex-designed landscapes and tight corridors

-Skyshock – an old interplanetary defence array that offers both vehicle and infantry engagements

-The Cauldron – an abandoned Hive ritual site that offers close-quarter combat

New six-player Raid, Crota’s End, set deep within the depths of the Hellmouth

Hopefully it's more content than it sounds...

  9. Danger Mouse will once again be gracing our screens sometime next year with 52 episodes (running at 11 minutes each) on CBBC. I used to love this show when I was younger, so I'm quite excited by it, although I'm a bit worried about how much they'll "modernise" it.

As for the voice cast, Alexander Armstrong is confirmed to be the voice of DM, which I think is a fantastic choice. I honestly think he can pull it off. Kevin Eldon is confirmed as Penfold, and Dave Lamb is the narrator, which are interesting choices, although I am slightly skeptical.

Also, here's some promo art showing the new style, I don't actually think it's that bad. It's only slightly modernised, and Penfold looks like he hasn't even changed:

    What does everyone else think?

  10. It definitely has old school elements, and can be a bit clunky, plus the camera is a pain in the arse at times... although I think that works in the game's favour. As I said earlier, you can really tell it's a Mikami game and it does feel a lot like RE4, except the protagonist feels a bit more vulnerable and the enemies are more challenging/overwhelming. I recommend it if you really loved RE4.

  11. So this was released yesterday, anyone else pick this up? I got it for PS4, and it's great so far! I'm on the start of chapter 3 at the moment, and I'm not finding it that scary right now, but it's definitely creepy, and incredibly tense. The gameplay can be pretty clunky, but I think it works in the game's favour. Plus you can tell it's a Mikami game straight off the bat, and even has some nice callbacks to his older games.

Btw, some review scores here if anyone's interested, and most seem pretty positive too: http://www.vg247.com/2014/10/14/the-evil-within-review-pc-ps4-xbox-one/

  12. What? How is it confirmed in any way?

We don't even know if this was a server sided thing, and I very much doubt even if they had stored the names of the upcoming events on disk that the data is already there.

Yeah, I may have actually jumped the gun a bit. It's just people have been getting into the locked-off DLC areas via glitches. However, that doesn't mean all the structure/assets/AI/etc are actually there.

I should really know better, especially considering I work in the games industry. :heh:
