Deus Ex: Mankind Divided [PS4, PC XOne]
CoolFunkMan replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in Other Consoles
Updated the original post with the trailer, plus there's a link to the Game Informer coverage that's happening over the course of the month. Also, some more details: Source: http://www.pcgamer.com/deus-ex-mankind-divided-details-emerge/ Really sounds like exciting stuff! I'm glad the story will tie into the original, I look forward to seeing how they transpire. -
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided [PS4, PC XOne]
CoolFunkMan replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in Other Consoles
Yeah, to be honest, I realised they weren't all screenshots, but I was in a hurry to post this thread. :p Yup, Human Revolution is pretty much it's own story, set in the same universe, way before the events of the original game. There's enough homages and references though. Also, definitely play the original. It hasn't aged well visually, but it's still the best game ever made! Also, the trailer is out!! Hnnnnnnnggggg, soooo goooood!!!! -
Thanks for sharing the video! Bliss was pretty amazing at the gig too tbh, plus the entire room was going mental! Mind you, it was a room full of hardcore Muse fans, so that's to be expected really. Dead Inside keeps getting better with every listen, plus it actually transitions well, in terms of the narrative. If you listen to them back-to-back, it works really well. Matt Bellamy also said the lyrics are still somewhat personal, but slightly altered from it's original form to suit the concept of the album. In which case, the poor guy needs a hug. So sad. Also, the band did radio interviews after airing the single, some little bits of info to take away: I don't know about anyone else, but I'm so hyped after hearing all that!!!

Awesome, Rock am Ring 2010 looked like it was a great show, glad you enjoyed it! Also, Dead Inside is out (can't post the video because boobs. :P) It's really not what I expected, but it's still brilliant!

After seeing it live, I can confirm that it's amazing! I want this album now. Also, the new single, Dead Inside, should be airing today: http://www.gigwise.com/news/99113/muse-dead-inside-new-track-to-premiere But more importantly, the gig I was at last night... All I can say is, I'm one happy Muse fan right now.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!
CoolFunkMan replied to Aneres11's topic in General Chit Chat
Taken from the Muse thread I made, but this track is the best they've done for years! Was incredible seeing it live last night too. -
I've held of hearing anything past the first minute, as I don't want to spoil it. Mind you, I'll be seeing them in Manchester tonight, so I'll probably hear it first-hand myself. I'm a bit more than excited!!
-
Same here, ordered it the other day, plus the CD+DVD edition for my Dad. Also got two tickets to see them in Manchester next Sunday! : peace: Also got these pre-ordered: (Last one is The Prodigy - The Day is My Enemy, for those that don't know.)

Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning...

Meant to reply to this yesterday. Amazing track, this is more like what they should be like! Muse are back!!!

I got this on release, and completed it a few hours ago. The reviews are definitely far too harsh, this game is great. Definitely a solid 7.5/8 out of 10! It's a unique experience, and worth a playthrough. Although the length is a bit too short for my liking, so I'd suggest picking this up after a price drop. Haha, so it wasn't just me thinking this, then? I was surprised he wasn't in it. Maybe in a potential sequel? It certainly leaves it open enough for a sequel, although the bad reception makes me worry that there won't be one. I hope it does happen, it truly deserves a second title, Ready At Dawn have created an amazing world!

So, Sledgehammer are set to reveal the next itteration of the CoD franchise on Monday 4th May (Star Wars day. ) Here's teaser stuffs... And Gameinformer have the first screenshot, which looks very Titanfall-ish: The whole PMC angle sounds intruging, plus word is that it might be new-gen only... but it'll probably be more of the same. Speculate away...

Been catching up on the news, some pretty cool announcements there! Nice of Square-Enix to troll everyone though... bastards. Will there be any more announcements made, or is that it for this weekend?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
CoolFunkMan replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
So people are saying the world looks sparse and nowhere near completion. Whilst I can agree, bear in mind that this is a carefully set up demo, to show how the game is coming along. If anything, this was to show off a few new features, and the scale of the game world. More of a little teaser before E3. Also, bear in mind, a lot can happen in a year, and it's likely Nintendo have a ton of people working on this, many of them probably being industry veterans. I honestly can't see it being out any earlier than next October at the very earliest, so there's plenty of time. Personally, I think it looks stunning. It looks like they've nailed the open-world aspect, and the new gameplay features look fantastic. Definitely going to be getting a Wii U for this! -
Well, the timing of this is interesting. Hmmmmmm..... http://www.vg247.com/2014/12/04/deus-ex-universe-dawn-engine/

I really don't get why the hell this is happening in the UK*, it's an AMERICAN holiday thing. I'm going to be avoiding shopping at all over the weekend, seeing how mental people are going is fucking ridiculous! *I know, I know... because MONEY.

Instead of making a thread for each festival, I thought it'd be a better idea to combine it into a thread. So, let's kick this off, shall we? Is anyone planning to go to Download next year? The line-up is looking amazing so far! Although there's plenty of idiots complaining about Muse because they're not "proper rock" or "metal". But what do they know? :P Other than that, there's Resistanz and Infest Festivals that look good, if you're into Industrial music...

There's some absolutely ridiculous prices there! Some must-buys for me too! How long is this sale on for? EDIT: Never mind, just read it properly. I'm still too poor to afford any of those deals. Damn'.

Seriously though, it's only a month later, and it does make more sense with The Order due out around the same time...

Danger Mouse will once again be gracing our screens sometime next year with 52 episodes (running at 11 minutes each) on CBBC. I used to love this show when I was younger, so I'm quite excited by it, although I'm a bit worried about how much they'll "modernise" it. As for the voice cast, Alexander Armstrong is confirmed to be the voice of DM, which I think is a fantastic choice. I honestly think he can pull it off. Kevin Eldon is confirmed as Penfold, and Dave Lamb is the narrator, which are interesting choices, although I am slightly skeptical. Also, here's some promo art showing the new style, I don't actually think it's that bad. It's only slightly modernised, and Penfold looks like he hasn't even changed: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2014/danger-mouse-cast What does everyone else think?

The Dark Below release date announced - 9th December! Here's to lowdown on what you'll get for £20 (unless you have the season pass...) Hopefully it's more content than it sounds...

It's up 28th apparently. Should be interesting...

The Evil Within - Mikami (360, PS3, PC and Next gen)
CoolFunkMan replied to bryanee's topic in Other Consoles
It definitely has old school elements, and can be a bit clunky, plus the camera is a pain in the arse at times... although I think that works in the game's favour. As I said earlier, you can really tell it's a Mikami game and it does feel a lot like RE4, except the protagonist feels a bit more vulnerable and the enemies are more challenging/overwhelming. I recommend it if you really loved RE4. -
The Evil Within - Mikami (360, PS3, PC and Next gen)
CoolFunkMan replied to bryanee's topic in Other Consoles
So this was released yesterday, anyone else pick this up? I got it for PS4, and it's great so far! I'm on the start of chapter 3 at the moment, and I'm not finding it that scary right now, but it's definitely creepy, and incredibly tense. The gameplay can be pretty clunky, but I think it works in the game's favour. Plus you can tell it's a Mikami game straight off the bat, and even has some nice callbacks to his older games. Btw, some review scores here if anyone's interested, and most seem pretty positive too: http://www.vg247.com/2014/10/14/the-evil-within-review-pc-ps4-xbox-one/
