  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Well, I was quite far off with the time travel theory, wasn't I? It still looks interesting, but the Modern Warfare remaster is what has me interested. Mind you, if the space combat is implemented into Infinite Warfare's multiplayer, then it could be really interesting. If there's not a map like Unreal Tournament 2004's AS-Mothership, then they're really missing out on a huge opportunity.
  2. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Hang on... it's called Infinite Warfare, and the way that speech is worded... Time travel? I'm calling it now. :P
  3. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Higher resolution image that confirms the CoD4 remaster, unless it's an elaborate prank. Seems legit though. (The pic appears to be a Canadian one, which is why it looks so expensive.) Only 10 of the original 16 multiplayer maps are packaged with it? They'd better not be holding some of them back for DLC. Mind you, this is Activision we're talking about...
  4. Battlefield 4

Crazy theory time that's absolutely baseless... I wonder if they may go for some crazy Assassin's Creed sci-fi style stuff, where you switch between a modern day/futuristic setting and the WW1 era, via the use of some sort of machine? It probably won't happen though, and it'd probably be rubbish tbh. :P
  5. Doom (May 13th)

You mean as in how long it takes to kill other players? If so, I'm gonna have to disagree, I love it, it definitely makes it even more oldskool! Oh, and FYI to all, there's an open beta next weekend! It runs from 15th - 18th and is open to all. I'll definitely be downloading it again for one final quick blast before it's launch!
  6. Doom (May 13th)

So, I've played the beta a lot this weekend, and.... it's really not what I expected. However, I adjusted to it, and it's a ton of fun! The thing is, it really feels a lot more like a Quake game, although iD also created Quake, so that's not really a surprise. It's fast-paced oldskool action, with health, armor and powerups dotted around the level. The level designs are quite nice too, with lots of routes to get flanked from, and items seem to be well placed. Oh, and the weapons are very nice too, I love the Plasma Rifle! However, for some reason there's an unlock/level up system, in which you create loadouts, similar to CoD. Fortunately, pretty much all the weapons are available from the get-go, and leveling up seems pretty fast (I was level 15 within 2 hours, which was the beta level cap.) Only two of the weapons were locked at certain levels, and the unlocks mainly appear to be cosmetic, although it seems there's some "equipment" that can also be unlocked too (special types of grenade, etc.) Also, in each loadout, you're limited to two weapons. This doesn't ruin the game by any means, it just seems like an odd choice in an arena style frag-fest. Oh, and pretty much everything can be customised. The look of your character, your taunts, and even your guns can be edited. Again, these are unlocked as you go along, but there's plenty to keep you going. I made my Doom Marine look pretty badass! And playing as the Demon. It's so fucking AWESOME!!!! Only the Revenant was available in the beta, and it was extremely overpowered in terms of firepower, but it's an event, and a joy to play as! Mind you, if the enemy team is co-ordinated enough, you can still be taken down pretty quickly. Overall, after getting used to it, it's a massive amount of fun, and it seemed nicely balanced. However, for me, the real part that's enticing me is the campaign. That said, after trying the beta, I'm definitely a lot more interested in the multiplayer aspect than I was before!
  7. Doom (May 13th)

So,the multiplayer beta is today for those who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order. I'm one of those peeps... and I've received no code, or confirmation. I'm downloading the beta anyway as we speak. Should it just work, or should I have had an e-mail through confirming my participation? :/ EDIT: Never mind... got the e-mail through, now my interwebs needs to hurry the fuck up and download this!!!
  8. So EGX returns to the Birmingham NEC from 22nd-25th September, and by the looks of things, tickets go on sale tomorrow! No info on ticket prices yet though. Who else is thinking of going? What games do you lot expect will be there?
  9. No Man's Sky

Thanks for the discount code @Ashley. To be honest, I never even knew there was going to be a collector's edition of the game! Just done pre-ordering it, can't wait for this one!
  10. But there is a Virgin Media offer on for this year's EGX, or has that ended?
  11. Prices don't seem to have gone up by much though. Considering how much you get, an increase of £5 for the super pass is still pretty good value, in my opinion. Needless to say, I picked up some super passes as soon as they went on sale. Really looking forward to it! As for the issues last year, they're really listening to feedback by the sounds of things. From what I've been hearing, they're going to be selling less day tickets for the Saturday and Sunday, as well as increasing the floor space. Oh, and the closing times are later now too. Hopefully this makes it much easier, in terms of queuing, and means less claustrophobic crowd moments.
  12. Doom (May 13th)

So the release date has been revealed as 13th May... WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS?!!!! Seriously, it looks fucking AWESOME!!!! HNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!! Also, here's a shiny pic of the collector's edition (which will cost £99.)
  13. 2016 is almost upon us, which leads to the ultimate, if obvious, question... what games are you looking forward to the most next year? There's so many being released, I didn't even know where to begin, but in the end I wrote an article on my blog, which can be seen here: https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/12/28/most-anticipated-games-of-2016/
  14. What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

Glad you liked my choices @Shorty! Chvrches latest album is definitely a brilliant one, it's so hard to stop listening to it. It was only made even more amazing after seeing them on their tour, the tracks are phenomenal live!
  15. What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

I'm not 100% sure if this counts towards to thread, but I did make a top 10 albums of 2015 list: https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/12/22/my-top-10-albums-of-2015/ Also, some "honourable mentions", because there's been too many awesome albums: https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/12/23/albums-of-2015-honourable-mentions/
  16. N-Europe GOTY 2015

I've only got a top 5 games list this year, as I haven't really played enough games. I'm a bit gutted I missed out on so many this year. Still, I loved what I played! Here's part 1 of my list: https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/12/19/top-5-games-of-2015-part-1/ And part 2 (which is basically a massive write-up on my no.1 choice...) https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/12/20/top-5-games-of-2015-part-2-my-number-1-choice-goes-to/
  17. Fallout 4

Couldn't agree more, why bother breaking the game? It's not how it was meant to be experienced, so all you'd be doing is spoiling it. On a random side-note, I've just got the second rank of Local Leader, so I can build stores. However, I'm having issues with it, in the sense that I'm not entirely sure who to assign to them. Can companions be assigned to the stores, or is it just settlers? It doesn't seem to work for me 100%...
  18. Fallout 4

Cheers for that, I'll get doing a few faction quests.
  19. Fallout 4

Just a quick question... is it possible to join a faction, do a few quests with them, then bugger off and work with another one for a bit? I kinda want to do as much as possible in this playthrough...
  20. Paris Under Attack

I can't believe what happened in Paris, the complete disregard for human life is absolutely disgusting. Atrocities like this should not happen in this day and age. My thoughts are with all those affected by these attacks. On a related note, there's a campaign to get Eagles of Death Metal - Save a Prayer (a cover of the Duran Duran song) to number 1, and it's been confirmed that all proceeds will be donated to help those in Paris. I think it's a fantastic idea, and would make a strong statement. https://www.facebook.com/eodmforno1/timeline
  21. TV Title sequences

Such a superb show! I love the title cards in it too, and how they reflect the main story-arcs for each season. My absolute favourite ones have to be seasons 8 and 9, because, visually, they're quite spectacular:
  22. Fallout 4

  23. No Man's Sky

Well, that was the biggest disappointment of the show for me, can't believe it's got such a massive delay. Ah well, at least we have a solid release date now...
  24. EGX 2015 - Eurogamer Expo (Birmingham NEC)

You did? Damn, sorry I missed you, but it was such a busy weekend! I had a blast though, and it was a great first EGX. Checked out a ton of awesome stuff, but the queues for the triple-A games were ridiculous! Definitely need to do more days next time, so that I can check out everything. I missed out on Mirror's Edge and Tomb Raider, which I'm pretty gutted about. I'm having trouble gathering my thoughts right now, but I'm definitely going to be putting my thoughts on my blog soon...
  25. What Have You Bought?

I got this yesterday, 'tis brilliant! I reviewed it too: https://epitomeofepic.wordpress.com/2015/09/25/rammstein-in-amerika-review/ [/shamelessPlug]
