  1. Resident Evil 6

    ohmyfuckinggodholyshitawesome!!!!
  2. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Around 70 hours in now at Level 41, and I'm geting close to level 100 in Smithing and Enchanting. Each are at 87 and 90 respectively. Also completed the Thieves Guild Questline, which I recommend, as it's brilliant. Near the end of the questline, I also got...
  3. The Darkness II

BUMP So yeah, the demo is out on the XBL Marketplace for Gold members. I haven't got it, as I don't have Gold right now, but I've seen a video it and it looks great. I'm very tempted to get this now. The video I mentioned is here. Oh, and spoilers btw:
  4. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I've pretty much screwed myself over in terms on Smithing too. I'm over 40 hours in at level 26, but my Smithing is only level 17. I've found some awesome weapons that I want to keep (Glass War axes = win), so looks like I'm going to have to go hunting for a long while... :/ Also, is it worth ditching my Light Armor for heavier variants? I do like to sneak a lot, and I'm at a much higher level with Light Armor than Heavy. But then, I do have the Sneak perk that reduces noise from Armor by 50%...
  5. Xbox 360 Console Discussion

Oh, it's a common issue then? Well, that does suck! And I was thinking the lag might be because of the game, but I jus needed to be sure. Thanks for clearing that up!
  6. Xbox 360 Console Discussion

I've been playing tons of Skyrim recently, which has lead to an issue with my 360. Every time the DVD drive is in use, it makes a loud buzzing noise, which is extremely distracting. Plus I've started to notice the game stutter/lag every so often. Bear in mind that I have the Slim 250GB version, and I've had it since it was first released. Obviously, installing the game has helped, but is there anything I can do to fix this? Is my 360 going to die soon?
  7. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Cheers for the help with Dragon hunting folks. I actually came across another one at Mount Anthor (or whatever it's called.) I stole a horse once, it belonged to some bandits, so I didn't feel bad, but it kept buggering off back to where I found it. In the end, it never came back, so I assume it died....
  8. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Got this on 360 just after Christmas. I was overwhelmed by how much there was to do at first, but after the first few hours, I got used to it. This game is incredible! Only problem is, I'm 16 hours into the game and I haven't come across any dragons yet. Well, apart from one about an hour or so ago, but it was flying around too fast for me to attack, and it buggered off without even trying to fight. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm level 14 at the moment, and yes, I have done the quest where I fight the first dragon. I was going to get it on PS3 myself, but got the 360 version instead. My friend who has the PS3 version says that his game started to lag as his save file got larger. Also, when he created a new character, it automatically wiped all his saves from his previous playthrough. It's still an amazing game, and is deffinitely worth getting, just proceed with caution.
  9. Sonic 4: Episode 2

Saw this the other day, I'm really looking forward to it. The new physics and graphics engines intruige me too. Hopefully it'll play better than S4:E1, even though I enjoyed episode 1. There's worse; Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
  10. Funny Stuff Thread

Been looking at Tomska's Youtube channel today, some hilarious stuff on there. Someone's probably already posted some videos of his*, but here's my faves anyway: *If not, then why the hell not?!
  11. Christmas Presents

My cousin visited earlier, so I have another gift to add to my list: Magic the Gathering - Innistrad Intro Pack (Carnival of Blood.) Glad to hear everyone's had awesome presents! ^^
  12. Christmas Presents

I got: Modern Warfare 3 (360) Mortal Kombat (PS3) £110 £5 Asda George voucher Box of mini Toblerones Odeon vouchers (£15 worth) The latter two are for both me and my fiancee. Methinks we'll be seeing the new Sherlock Holmes film soon.
  13. What are you buying next?

I know I'm probably not getting Skyrim for Christmas, so I'll be buying that (on PS3), and probably some Magic: The Gathering cards. Some time in the not-too-distant future, I'll get a 12 month XBox Live Gold renewal too. I'm trying to find a cheap 12 month + 800 points deal for cheap, but can't find a decent price anywhere.
  14. This game's been rumoured for a while. This started off a while back, when it was announced that Victory Games was to be the new C&C developer. It was later rumoured that the studio was linked to EA's Bioware studio. Now, with the 2011 VGA's upon us, and Bioware's new game announcement coming, this news story has appeared: http://www.vg247.com/2011/12/04/command-conquer-alliances-outed-by-domain-registration/ It seems that EA have registered the following domains: So, it seems the rumor may be true, and that the new C&C game might be called 'Command & Conquer Alliances'. Considering the VGA's are on Saturday, this timing doesn't feel like much of a coincidence. What intrigues me the most is the latter domains, that reference the Tiberium, Red Alert and Generals series. I have a feeling that this could be a merging of all the C&C universes. Peronally, I hope it's all true. It's been a while since a good C&C game was released and maybe a new take on the franchise is what the series needs. The merging of all timelines could work, if done right (if my theory is correct, of course...)
  15. [RUMOR] Command & Conquer Alliances

EA have just announced Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances. Here's the details from VG247: http://www.vg247.com/2011/12/14/command-conquer-tiberium-alliances-announced-by-ea/ Beta sign-up is here: http://alliances.commandandconquer.com/intro/index?lang=en Hmmm, interesting. I was hoping for a full product, rather than just a web browser game. Still, I'll sign up anyway...
  16. Fortnite

Minecraft: Collect resources during the day, use those resources to build a fortress and equipment. Survive the night when monsters attack, and defend your fortress. Fortnite: Collect resources during the day, use those resources to build a fortress and equipment. Survive the night when monsters attack, and defend your fortress. I'm not saying that the concept is purely Minecraft, it's the execution of it.
  17. Fortnite

I do like the game's presentation. It's nice to see Epic actually going with a more vibrant art style, rather than dull greys and browns. However, is it just me, or does the concept sound like a complete Minecraft rip-off? Still, Minecraft is great, so anything similar should be good, right?
  18. The Last Of Us

It looks great, but I wish there was actually gameplay in the trailer. At the moment, we have no idea what genre the game even is. Still, the concept is awesome. I look forward to seeing more.
  19. There's a nasty virus lurking the web at the moment. It locks your computer and leaves a fake message from the Metropolitan Police, saying that you've been looking at child porn and violent videos/imagery. It goes on to say that your computer will remain locked until you pay a fine of £100. It looks realistic, and even shows you your ip address, but the dead giveaway is the fact that you have to pay via ukash, to get a code to unlock your system. I've had this happen this morning, and no one in my house has looked at any of the material/subject matter that the fake page claims. My fiancée was watching videos via TV Links last night (it was America's Next Top Model if you must know), and the issue occurred not long afterwards. Fortunately, she found a work around by pressing ctrl+alt+del and logging off, then back on again. However, the option for task manager has vanished. I started a full scan on Microsoft Security Essentials a few hours ago, and it has found harmful files on my system. Although I'm worried in case this doesn't fix the problem. Are there any other precautions I should take before rebooting my system? Should I uninstall MSE, as it failed to locate and block this virus? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks if anyone can help.
  20. Lol, it wasn't me. My Fiancee was watching America's Next Top Model on TV Links. For some reason, one of the links opened a dodgy site, which resulted in my computer contracting the virus. She promised to not go on that site again. I never used to have issues with that site back in the day though... :/
  21. Thanks for the info there, I think it's worked! I did what you said, then did a system restore. Luckily, the last one was a few days ago, so I haven't lost much, if anything at all. Thanks again! LOL!
  22. That's the problem, I have absolutely no way of backing anything up, plus I can't afford to buy an external hard drive. It is apparently possible to remove this virus, but it's a pain in the arse. I did a google search earlier, but the way others described it sounded confusing.
  23. [RUMOR] Command & Conquer Alliances

Looks like the new C&C game is being developed by Bioware, but it's actually Generals 2: http://www.commandandconquer.com/en/games/bygameid/cncgenerals2 Not a surprising choice tbh, as it's been a while since Generals: Zero Hour. This won't be out until 2013 though. :/ Still, I wonder what the whole "alliances" thing was about...
  24. The Last Of Us

Geoff Keighley keeps on saying he's amazed that nothing's been leaked all this time. Plus the game's official Youtube channel was first registered on 12 Jul 2006: http://www.youtube.com/user/thelastofus?feature=watch So it looks as if it's been in development for at least five years, meaning we'll probably see footage of a game that's well into development, if not nearing completion.
  25. [RUMOR] Command & Conquer Alliances

Have to agree with you on Red Alert 3, it didn't feel the same as the other games. EA deffinitely went ott in terms of style and presentation. I did like the mechanics, with units having secondary functions, but the base building mechanics were way too complex. Plus, The Empire of the Rising Sun were out of place. They were overpowered and didn't fit into the Red Alert universe at all, it felt like they were added for the sake of it. Don't get me wrong, it was decent, but just didn't feel the same. I've played and completed Red Alert 2 plus Yuri's Revenge recently (and even obtained an old computer, just so I could play them!) In my opinion, they're both still the best C&C games of the entire franchise. They were fun, simple and easy to play, plus oozed character. Even though they had a lot of humor and sillyness, they still had a gritty darker side to them. In my opinion, the modern C&C games have lacked that balance. EA seem to have been too obsessed with adding complex ideas and mechanics to the series, resulting in them loosing the essence of what C&C truly was. With a new studio at the helm, I really hope that that essence can be brought back.
