  1. The Walking Dead

My god, what an amazing finale!
  2. GAME Group what next?

Bought a 120gb slim PS3 from GAME today, with the move started kit, all second hand but in mint condition... for £145!! The console was £130 and move was £15. Bargain! Still, the reason behind these deals is a damn shame! I hope GAME pull through, but I don't see it happening to be honest...
  3. GAME Group what next?

Sales you say? Might take advantage of that, if I get time. It's still incredibly sad though. Whilst we're on the subject, I went to pre-order Resident Evil: Opperation Raccoon City from ShopTo, just incase GAME didn't get stock. I was originally planning to keep both pre-orders, then decide which one to choose at the last minute... but then I accidentally paid for it upfront! >.< I had to cancel my GAME pre-order after that.
  4. Shared on Facebook and Tweeted about it on Twitter. I tried to pledge on the site too, but it appears to be suffering connection issues right now, probably due to the overwhelming response this campaign has already had. The entire situation is heart-wrenching. I really hope they stop Kony!
  5. The Walking Dead

    Wasn't expecting that.
  6. The Android Thread

OMFG! The One X looks amazing! <3 My contract ends in August, so I may very well get one. Waiting is definitely a good idea, thanks folks!
  7. GAME Group what next?

I agree. They have two stores in Wolverhampton (last time I checked, it's been a few years since I last went), and on the same high street. It's literaly not even a minutes walk between the two! Merry Hill shopping centre has two GAME stores as well, again, a few mins from each other. At one point, GAME even closed down one of the Merry Hill stores, then reopened it again a few months later, it's ridiculous! I think that, in these densely populated areas, they should close down stores, especialy with them now owning Gamestation. As for the entire situation itself, it is a shame. GAME used to be good, until they went ott with pricing. Thing is, with supermarkets and online stores having competitive prices, and plus the fact we're still in a recession, things look bleak for GAME. Unless they can pull thier finger out and come up with some good ideas. Some of the ideas mentioned in this thread are pretty good, making it a more social space (tester units, gaming rooms, etc.) But perhaps it's too little, too late. To be honest, I see GAME completely closing down by the end of the year.
  8. Sonic 4: Episode 2

First screenshots! Didn't copy them all, I'm too lazy for that. They can be found here though: http://www.vg247.com/2012/02/14/first-set-of-screens-released-for-sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-ii/ It looks way better than Episode 1 already!

Everyoen probably already knows about this, but: And I don't even follow football....

Even if you do hate the trollface meme, do this: I actually want to do what it says too, it sounds awesome!
  11. The Android Thread

Ok, sorry I've been such an arse. I've not really been thinking clearly about anything lately, I've had a lot on my mind. I can see where you're all coming from tbh, so I think I'll just wait it out till August. I just thought paying £33ish per month for the phone I have was ott, so I was thinking this would save me money in the long run, but I guess it wouldn't really, would it? :/ I know tha Phones 4 U/Carphone Warehouse (can't remember which one) did an offer where they bought out the last few months of your contract for you to get a new one, so I may check that out in a few months. Thanks for the help though, and really sorry again.
  12. Moving House

My plan is to save for now, as I have a grand total of £0 saved. For 10 months, I was renting a flat with my gf, but she went back to college and I lost my job, so I had to move back to my parents around October. Plus I owe family members a shitload of money, so I have to pay that back, making saving difficult. I do have my job back, but it's still only contract work (three month rolling), and I'll only get around £940ish after tax... :/
  13. The Android Thread

Decent money for a Samsung E900? Like I said earlier on, I managed to break my HTC Desire, the screen is completely smashed and all that shows on the display is a pixelated mess. Anyway, the third party insurance I went with (via my bannk account) didn't accept my claim. This was because I didn't contact them within 48 hours of the incident, which is apparently thier "policy." I even appealed it, and they still denied my claim. Hence, I'm now stuck with a £34 a month contract with a Samsung E900. I suppose I should have been clearer when explaining my situation, sorry. But that's the reason I want to get out of my contract. I would get my HTC Desire repaired, but I don't trust geting it repaired by a third party. Also, considering I have no idea what the extent of the damage is, I don't know how much it would cost to get HTC to repair it. I've heard prices could be as high as £150.
  14. The Android Thread

Ok, so forget about the deal I mentioned earlier, I checked Three's network coverage, and they only do outdoor coverage for my area. I keep hearing bad things about them anyway, so I'm not willing to risk it. Thanks for the tips though. I might as well wait till when I actually get the money to afford a new contract (so end of Feb), as deals change as often as the weather. I'm still looking to get the HTC Sensation XE though. Sorry I wasn't clear on my contract ending date. It actually ends in August, and when I called Vodafone the other day, they said it'd cost £195(ish) to cancel my contract. I thought the pricing would be a lot worse. In the future, I may pop in to Carphone Warehouse/Phones 4 U, and see what deals they have (unless anyone strongly advises against it.)
  15. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I agree, the triple enchantments on the amulet gave it the edge in my opinion. My character is wearing it now, along with legendary Dragon Scale Armour, which I'm finding awesome! I also came accross an interesting bug whilst looking for the Stones of Barenziah. I'd missed one in the Dwemer Museum, so I went back. However, I still had...
  16. Rollercoaster Thread

Looks like the test ride on The Swarm at Thorpe Park really didn't go well: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2091480/Thorpe-Park-The-Swarm-ride-test-run-sees-dummies-return-limbs-snapped-off.html So, back to the drawing board for that ride I think. Unless, of course, it's all just a publicity stunt, which it might well be...
  17. Resident Evil: Raccoon City

I've just pre-ordered this. I played it at GAMEfest last year, and it was actually quite fun. Ok, so it's really action-oriented, but it still fet like a Resident Evil game, but at the same time had a Left 4 Dead feel to it (which is really not a bad thing.) Infact, my friends and I got 10 minutes worth of gameplay footage for it for our blog. Here it is, and sorry about the audio quality: Also, my impressions of the demo after playing it (disclaimer: I may be hyping it a little too much...):
  18. bad stuff thread.

Thanks for the support folks, all I need is time to get over all this.
  19. The Android Thread

To be honest, I do have my heart set on the HTC Sensation, plus I want to get out of my contract because I find Vodafone quite rubbish. I'll be starting work again soon next week, and my first pay will come through this time next month, so I'll be able to afford it then.
  20. The Android Thread

As some of you may remember, I managed to break my HTC Desire a while back, and the third party insurance company I went with were shit. So I'm currently stuck on a £33 per month contract with my old Samsung E900... I think it's time I got a new phone! I probably won't be getting one till this time next month, but I'm still price hunting. I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but the fact only the 16gb model is available has put me off it. Instead, I'm looking at the HTC Sensation XE (which I'm lead to believe is better than the XL.) Anyway, the point is that I've found a decent deal for it; 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1gb of internet usage for £17 per month and a one off handset payment of £126. However, the deal is with Three, and I've heard very bad things about thier service. Is this worth it? Or are there any better deals I can find around the same price?
  21. Xbox 360 Console Discussion

Got another question. I had to cancel my XBox Live Gold subscription due to lack of funds and was wondering, where is the cheapest place I can get a gold sub? The best I've seen is £30 on Amazon, but I'm hoping to find it cheaper elsewhere. I got the 1 month for £1 deal, so that should last me until I get monies in anyway, but I just need a price for future reference. Thanks if anyone can help.
  22. bad stuff thread.

I hope it's for the best too. I can see myself staying friends with her, so at least there's that. Still pretty down about it right now though. But then, I probably will be for a while.
  23. bad stuff thread.

My fiancee and I spit up. We'd been going out two years and had been engaged for 1. Our relationship had been going through a rough patch anyway, so it was a matter of time really. I just feel numb at the moment...
