  1. It's difficult for science to prove the existence of something that doesn't exist, by virtue that IT DOESN'T EXIST.

The burden of proof is on the believer; not the skeptic.

You believe that God doesn't exist. You too are a believer, so the burden lies on you.

    Awww... isn't that cute.

    Do not patronise me.

  2. Science - the way we can prove there is no god.

    Go on then.

As Blackfox stated there is no way to prove or disprove the existence of God with science. We can have theological discussions but there is no solid evidence, which, I believe, is what science requires.

Anyone that is an atheist is merely a faithful follower of their own ideas and not a believer in science. Agnosticism is what they should adhere to.

    Who believs in afterlife here?

I do, and I believe that I can be with those that I love too.

  3. The Rain are, in fact, a small tribe Native American Indians famed for their small hands. I once saw a documentary on the discovery channel that was all about their lifestyle and culture. When a child of the Rain Tribe is born their hands are immediately placed into small wooden boxes shaped like teapots. Their hand growth is therefore restricted until they turn eighteen when they finally take part in what's known as their 'eighteenth year tea party of hand freedom'. They have small hands for the rest of their lives.

The poet is merely saying that this girl has very small hands and compares then to the hands of a member of the Rain Tribe.

  4. Anyone else get this, family friends asking you to fix their PC cause you have some knowledge? Bleedin infuriating when I don't want to.

I do, but I kinda enjoy it if I'm in the mood. It annoyed me the other day when my neighbour asked me to install a printer for him, and it was just a case of reading a small sheet of paper with all the instructons on; plug it in, stick the cd in and let it autorun. He hadn't even tried.

  5. I have a fitness regime for my comp that seems to work fairly well.

    Defrag your hard drive

Run ccleaner (including the registry bit)

    Run BeClean

    Run RegScrubXP

    Run RegSeeker (the registry bit)

    Run Spybot Search and destroy

    Run Microsoft AntiSpyware

Run a full virus scan (the online kaspersky one is good for a change to your standard one)

Run Starter to check that only programs I like start up on boot.

  6. the whole adoption storyline is making me cringe, its just sooo wrong. To have the mother of the child in your home etc. I diddn't even think you were allowed contact.

    Makes it dramatic however!

I'm not a soap person, but i think i will probably try and watch it every so often at Uni. I've been watching it for over 10 years now.

Thats a thought.. who's been watching the longest? who can remember Karl's affair with Sarah (i think)/ I can remember that, and i can remember toady's older brother at school and stuff.

I remember the adventures of Scott, Charlene and Henry.

  7. I don't like this on thread titles: (1 2 3 ... Last Page )

What if you want to go to page 14? I know you can go into the thread and then one click will take you to the right page, but it's a bit annoying, and also, you don't know how many pages are in a thread. Is this even changeable?
