  1. Weight Loss and Fitness 2013

That's my go to shop for shoes, so the only other option would be trawling google. Same problem with runners - everyone talks about minutes per mile, but when I first got into running I put my units as km and now I can't change, and everyone else thinks I sound funny.
  2. Unbelievably good price. It always annoys me how phones never seem to get cheaper, they just stop selling them - like where does all the leftover stock go? Except in this case that is.

Need nekkid shots please, so that we can do some hard admiring. (You may cover your junk.)

That thing in Hyde Park, London. (I was there a few weeks ago and saw it.)

HIIT has other benefits. Like, in running you quickly hit your VO2 Max, and your body gets used to it somewhat over repeated sessions. Or something like that. #broscience

60kph/37mph for ten minutes is pretty intense! I'd start making embarrassing noises a minute or so into that. This is why I exercise outside.
  8. Cravings!

There are certain shops in the UK that stock root beer (not that that helps you!), but I recently purchased some off amazon - it was a 12 pack of A&W for like £11. Not toooooooo expensive. There's a can on my desk right now. It will be my 3pm treat.
  9. What Have You Bought?

Oh, you want us to beg.
  10. Awesome stuff thread

    Makes me feel sick.
  11. Why aren't large families stigmatized socially?

In China where there's been a one child policy for a few years the people refer to the rising generation as Little Emperors, because everyone knows that they're all gonna be maladjusted weirdos. Source: Read this on Wikipedia ages ago, my version of it may differ significantly from what is actually written there. Clearly you've not looked into how much child benefit actually is. £134.80 for two kids every four weeks does not a rich man make. (Child tax credit, on the other hand, is a slightly more lucrative business.)
  12. bad stuff thread.

I get to show up late, take long lunches and leave early because the company I work for treats me like a human being, and not just a cog in the wheel. Feeling good about your job makes you a better worker, and here that trumps punctuality.
  13. good stuff thread.

What you guys should do is move away from your home town and any family you have, then have kids, be too cheap to get babysitters and ... ta da! ... loads of free time every night after the kids go to bed at 8pm, and you're tied to the house.

You are thinking of something else, probably Pandora or
  15. Tech newb looking for new laptop

How is your current acting up? Could it just be that a refresh of your Windows installation would make everything feel like new again, or is hardware failing? The easiest thing to upgrade on a laptop tends to be the RAM. You could give that a try too.
  16. Google Music

Work blocked Spotify so I moved to rdio. I only use the £4.99 option and I'm not sure an extra £3 is warranted. I've signed up for it though, and will see how it goes. The rdio interface is better, and the library is similar, I know that much already.
  17. Moustache, yay or nay?

Goatee can be any length, and is a particular part of the face. Like this: Whereas stubble is just short facial hair.

I run in Nike Air Pegasus, which is a neutral cushioned shoe. I'm going to purchase my fourth pair in the next couple of weeks.
  19. Weight Loss and Fitness 2013

Like @Charlie says, a calorie deficit is all that matters for losing weight. The healthiness is irrelevant.
  20. Marriage

Shame they're all useless to me. Well aside from the last one, but capping it at £150 is lame.
  21. hey people!:) Nintendo Moustache Contest

    Sorry, itchy trigger finger.
  22. Weight Loss and Fitness 2013

That's realy helpful. Awesome. I get a decent amount of my protein from a post-run pint of chocolate milkshake. Now I'll not rush it. Not that I'll be running for the next few days. Went on holiday in the Lake District, ran up a hill, sprained ankle, cursed, hobbled back to camp. Sad.
  23. Retro Toys

In my memory these toys were so much cooler than they look here. You just killed a part of my childhood. :-(
  24. Marriage

There are no tax benefits. Or am I doing it wrong?
  25. Weight Loss and Fitness 2013

Used to run with music, but I switched to silent after a year or so ago. Without music I find I can monitor my breathing easier, and I can think about stuff too. I'm going to start bringing longer runs into my schedule, so did my first long run on Saturday - 14.6km. Legs felt fine by Sunday, and ran as normal today. Hooray! Any runners on sites where we can be friends? I'm on three. Be my friend!
