Thanks for explaining. The forums weren't working right and then there was a sign saying that the forums were closed because of server issues. I just hadn't put the two together! Now it finally makes sense.

The forums are broken. There are new posts within various boards but it doesn't show up on the forum index. The last post that has been updated on the index was Space's from 3 hours ago in some thread in general.

You can use the GIMP. Similar to above, just create a multi-layered image and save it as a gif, then you get to specify the time between frames. GIMP is absolutely free too.

Check this path: C:\Documents and Settings\James\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\e92f9u48.default But with the obvious changes for you. There should be a bookmark.html file and a bookmark.bak file. Maybe the bookmark.bak (back-up file) still has them so check by opening it in notepad or firefox. If it does then rename it to bookmark.html to get your bookmarks back in firefox. Hope this works for you.

You don't have to buy Linux either, it's free. My university department recently gave away a load of old comps and I got a unit with an Athlon 850 and 568MB of RAM. I've not decided what to do with it yet.

To change it to an mp3 or other audio format you'll have to use some software found through google. I think quicktime pro can do it.
