  1. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Wonder if we'll get any new Pokemon shown during this gameplay? Depends on what portion of the game they are showing off and whether he's going to use a specific party made up of already revealed Pokemon. If so, what about the starter? Are they deliberately going to keep Rowlet/Litten/Popplio in their base forms so as to not spoil the evolutions or have them in their second form as a way of revealing a new Pokemon? I would guess the former.
  2. Pokémon Sun/Moon

New rumours have popped up regarding Sun/Moon
  3. Pokémon Sun/Moon

I've been watching the Japanese dub of the recent anime episodes. Its definately noticeable how far the series has come in terms of animation, I stopped watching the anime partway through the Johto series although I did watch a bit of Hoenn before deciding that I was too old for the show and that was that... at least until this year when I decided to watch some of the episodes I missed on Youtube as part of a huge nostalgia fest. Its rare to see Ash actually have an entire team of fully evolved Pokemon that he's using, apart from Pikachu of course. Every Pokemon he has acquired have all evolved into their final forms whereas previously only certain Pokemon evolved in his team and not quite all the way. No wonder Ash has yet to win a league title and no wonder he's holding his own very well this time around considering his team (Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Goodra, Noivern). OK, a few too many flying types and there's a glaring weakness to Ice but I suppose it doesn't really matter much when your fate is in the hands of writers rather than game mechanics.

If the rumoured dolphin Pokemon is in the game, I'm definitely using one on my team. Otherwise my team is looking like it will be Rowlet, Rockruff, Salandit and Bewear, with either Mimmikyu or an alternate Psychic or Fairy type (not too big a fan of many of the Fairy types revealed so far aside from Tapu Koko and Mimmikyu). Then again, if Rockruff's Evo is a Werewolf, it could potentially learn the move Play Rough because that would fit in well with a Werewolf. Added to that adding Crunch, Rock Slide/Stone Edge and maybe even Earthquake (most Rock Pokemon can learn Ground type moves and since its a dog the least it will likely get the move Dig) and you have a Pokemon with potentially a lot of type coverage on its own. That's presuming it will be a physical attacker, I would be surprised if they made a Werewolf a Special attacker.

Every generation has its bad designs, Gen VII is no exception. To be honest I can't see them going away from making Pokemon out of inanimate objects considering they already have done an ice cream, rubbish and a keychain. But then again, not all Pokemon were based on animals and humanoids in the first Gen, Grimer and Muk are essentially toxic sludge which as far as I'm aware isn't an animal.
  6. Pokémon Sun/Moon

There we have it then. Bewear has a pre-evolution. This contradicts what the Pokedex leak mentioned, therefore the leak is fake. Morale of the story, never doubt @Serebii. EDIT: Also the evil team is apparently called Team Skull.
  7. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Thread has now been taken down from 4chan. Possibly because someone got the reaction they wanted. Looking into it a bit more, "Delfin" is dolphin in Spanish. Yeah...
  8. Pokémon Sun/Moon

So apparently the entire Alola Pokedex has been leaked.
  9. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Seen some people think that they might be scrapping Mega Evolution altogether. Main reason being how broken Mega Kangaskhan has proven to be in competitive play especially in VGC when it was the Mega on nearly every team. Also, +1 to Feraligatr, Cyndaquil as a starter is overdone in G/S/C/HG/SS, Totodile is almost just as viable. In fact, in a recent playthrough of HeartGold I didn't even use a Fire type, all that Fire is good against is covered by other commonly seen types like Flying and Fighting and if I really need to use a Fire move then my Togekiss knows Flamethrower.
  10. Pokémon Sun/Moon

This cannot be a coincidence... Also, somehow Yungoos' evolution looks even more like Donald Trump than the pre-evo. Even it's Pokedex entry seems to match this. "Gumshoos has a tenacious personality, which is why it targets one prey for so long without wavering.

Still playing HeartGold although I am only really training for the battle against Red right now so given the massive level jump between the last gym leader and Red I am currently grinding levels in Mt. Silver against wild Pokemon to get my team up to Level 70. While I was doing that, I came across this: Only the second shiny (Red Gyarados not included) I've ever found in the wild. Also been playing Metroid Prime Blast Ball and it's a pretty fun game, although getting the ball to where you want it to go is definately hard work. Then again I haven't really figured out everything you can do properly and I've found myself scoring multiple own goals...
  12. Best Nintendo Adverts

I remember an ad for the Game Boy Colour back in the late 90s where a guy took an N64 "miles away from home" while it was still plugged in to the main socket in his house with an extension lead and tried to get it to work in the middle of a field, only for it to be unplugged back home for his mother to plug in the hoover instead. Unfortuantely that ad doesn't seem to be on Youtube anywhere. The idea being that instead of doing that, buy a Game Boy Colour instead, even though the GBC wasn't as powerful as the N64 by any stretch of imagination.
  13. Metroid Prime Blast Ball

Definately trying to get more used to this game after playing a few matches and losing quite easily. I've found I'm not particularly good on the attack and aiming the ball directly where I want to go, but standing back and playing defensive seems to suit me somewhat better so I might go that route in the future.
  14. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Nah, my only competitive experience really is with Pokemon Showdown. The fact that it takes so long to breed the perfect Pokemon put me off Wi-Fi competitive Pokemon so I just Super Trained my in-game team in Y last time around to help it deal with the Battle Maison and just test it in general against online teams. Even then though, I tend to go for somewhat gimmicky teams on Showdown that leave me with rather average rankings.
  15. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Definately may consider creating my own competitive team now when Sun/Moon come out. I guess the days of riding around on the bike hatching tons of eggs of the same Pokemon until you get one with perfect IVs and Natures are now over... ...you just need one with a good nature now.
  16. Pokémon Sun/Moon

OK, now I'm more interested. Although, we haven't had anything in English trailers yet about Synchro Moves/Burst Moves or whatever they are called, just in the Japanese trailers so wouldn't be surprised if they included that.
  17. Pokémon Sun/Moon

I would imagine this will definately be an English trailer regarding the new Synchro Moves feature, maybe we'll get something else along with that like the confirmation of some new Pokemon. Although if anything gets confirmed along the lines of the 4chan "Firedman" I would be somewhat suspicious...

I did consider that it might be a counterfeit, but after comparing it to other US game cartridges that I own I can't see too much out of the ordinary in its design, so if it's a fake it's a well made fake.

Bought a copy of Pokemon HeartGold last week off the internet, so been playing that a lot during the last week. Lost Pokemon Gold years ago and been meaning to get the remake sometime so I thought why not now? Currently right before the Elite Four having played this game a lot. I decided to base the team off my original Gold team but then expand on it since said team was effectively only really two Pokemon (a Feraligatr and an Ampharos). There was also a Piloswine on there but he was somewhat lower levelled and I only had him on because of Endure. So, the team on the remake is as follows: Feraligatr Lv. 44 Bold Nature, Torrent Ability Waterfall Crunch Surf Ice Fang Ampharos Lv. 44 Quirky Nature, Statis Ability Hidden Power (which unfortunately is Poison...) Signal Beam Discharge Thunder Wave Jumpluff Lv. 44 Naughty Nature, Chlorophyll Ability Leech Seed Giga Drain Aerial Ace U-Turn Togekiss Lv. 44 (Traded a Shiny Stone over from Pearl to evolve it before E4) Naughty Nature, Serene Grace Ability Air Slash Fly Extrasensory Metronome Mamoswine Lv. 44 Bold Nature, Snow Cloak Ability Blizzard AncientPower Ice Shard Earthquake Hitmontop Lv. 44 Quirky Nature, Intimidate Ability Revenge Gyro Ball Fake Out Rapid Spin Playthrough highlights so far: Togekiss using Roar of Time, Spacial Red, Luster Purge (twice), Doom Desire and Judgement from using Metronome. A fair amount of these came after only the first badge too which was when it became a team member. Battle against Whitney's Miltank which was extremely close thanks to my team being a bit underlevelled for it, but my Togetic eventually managed to win the battle after Metronome lead to Conversion which turned it into a Psychic type and made Extrasensory more powerful while removing Rock weakeness, eventually wore down Miltank with this and killed it despite being affected by Attract. Catching the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage in a Moon Ball. That said, having to put so much effort to evolve Tyrogue into Hitmontop was painstaking... I must say I'm looking forward to doing the Battle Frontier though since I never bought Emerald or Platinum. Unfortunately this is a US version of the game which I'm trying to play on a UK 3DS which has lead to all sorts of issues, mainly game freezing every now and again during battle, but it has also rendered the Game Corner unplayable which means I cannot get the TMs which you can get from there, I would like to have Thunderbolt on Ampharos rather than Discharge... There are still other non-Pokemon games I need to finish like Xenoblade X, Final Fantasy X and Zelda: Oracle of Seasons but right now there doesn't seem to be much other than Pokemon that I want to play.
  21. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

I recall them showing the trailer and the part with the massive meetup between people trying to catch a Mewtwo and heard comments along the lines of the scene being overly ambitious with the amount of people who would actually try this together. Doesn't seem so Farfetch'd now...
  22. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Judging by the run-up we've had so far, the existance of Sun/Moon and the names of the legendaries in Solgaleo and Lunala were leaked before they even became official, some things really slipped through the cracks quite easily so the boiling pot really is struggling to keep everything inside it. Obviously the PR team really enjoyed the game and wanted to talk about it in as much detail as possible but couldn't.
  23. Pokémon Sun/Moon

Something interesting that popped up on Nintendo Minute Interestingly how they refer to the things you need to become the Champion being "Island Trials" rather than "battling gyms". Could lend weight to the rumours behind no gyms this time around and having "island trials" instread, or they could just be something alongside it. Worth considering.
