  1. I'm in a slight quandary now... In a usual phase of being fed up with work and sending out prospective emails for legal secretary work, I actually get a reply regarding a not-yet-advertised legal admin role at a firm. They ask me my expected salary and I do what I assume is the norm and add 1/2k on top of what you're already on (I'm on 25k) They came back a week later saying this role is up to 23k, so at least 2k less than currently at apparently their higher bracket of what they're offering.

I said I was still interested and have an interview tomorrow. I'm feeling stuck on what it is I want from this. With the NHS you're fairly stable with a job, and if I stick in current job for another year I think the pay goes up again. But I'm just bored.

I know people like to lament on money v happiness, but happy never pay no bills (I know it's not a drastic decrease, but still a reduction)

I'll be asking about progression at the interview tomorrow, but I'm not sure how I would feel if I were offered anything. There still isn't a vacancy for this on their website, so I'm not fully sure what the role is about.

So the Open Beta is out Thursday. I'll give it a go, any of you considering it? Seems like Duke Nukem Forever in that it was in development hell and finally pushed over the line. I've not been massively conscious of this game so have no expectations :hehe:

I'm considering it, but I need to do a bit more research apart from 20 second YouTube ads before other videos. If it's just naval warfare and related stuff, crafting only for boat etc and a lot of sailing, I might give it a miss. If it's like Assassin's Creed Black Flag, I'd be much more interested, that game was amazing.

Uhhh... You don't actually need Lash until after you've done all you can on that continent. Once you've beaten Briggs, and completed Air's Rock, you have to go back to the first continent anyway. Then you'll need Lash. So you don't actually have to backtrack too far.

For god's sake though, don't forget Tremor Psynergy! It's in the caves underneath the second town. It's very easy to miss!

Maybe not for essential stuff, but I'd passed lots of lil bits where I know I'd need the Lash eventually, such as the extra summon. But... I finally made it all the way there, took out the 3 Chestbeaters with one turn each. Went all the way back to Alhafra through the desert and did Lash stuff along the way, then checking the FAQs realised I needed to go back to the first continent, back through the desert I went

I could've sworn I explored it all beforehand. Turns out there were 2 important bits I failed to register! Made it out the other side and saved. The journey continues.

That would be telling... I'd rather show with vids. So, look forward to Thursday.

But let's just say the glitch that you use to skip Mia is called the Retreat Glitch, and it still works in The Lost Age. To hilarious effect.

EDIT: Actually, wait. Screw it. Can't wait. This is the kind of silliness I mean, @EEVILMURRAY.

I fucked up my Lost Age journey to a degree I didn't think possible. I was waiting to get the Lash Psynergy, but was swearing to myself that it was coming soon... Turns out I missed it completely. I was at Alhafra and had to backtrack all the way back to other continent for the temple there, I've done Airs Rock and everything. I'm fuckin' level 15, I gonna tear these enemies a whole new one.

Goodness knows what the reaction is going to be if I talk about something more subjective, like not enjoying a dungeon, some boss fight, or some other aspect of the game ::shrug: maybe I'll just keep my thoughts to myself until I'm done with the game rather than leave impressions as I go through as I normally like to do.

Mention how shit the dungeon maker thing is. I'll back you 100%

  6. Coming off The Traitors and needing a similar fix, I decided to check out Netflix for first time in awhile. I came across The Trust. Which the missus and I have watched first 3 episodes. It's an interesting concept, but at the moment just seems to focus on a group of neurotic women, which can make for some most painful watching.

    @Beast @WackerJr @darksnowman get on it!

It's literally in the overview trailer posted further up.

I had a version to actually play, why would I watch the trailer?

That being said I did give it a little look whilst on the John and it seems he does it after a double jump (after seemingly skipping to the right moment), not just a handstand jump as I was originally mentioning.

    Fuckin' love the gif though

  8. I blinked and managed to complete the demo. Only one thing annoyed me about the movement was when walking off a platform I was expecting to travel forward a little further than I did, leading to a spiky death.

Actually two... Mario doesn't pull a pose after the handstand jump.

I think I will end up getting this at some point, but like Ashley won't be getting it full price. If they did a proper remake of '94 Donkey Kong... mama mia I'd be there so quick.
