  1. are you doing film at the mo then EEvil?

I'm doing Media Studies which involes Film Studies and Photography and Video, neither of which is relevant in a sense. The Cameraman stuff I've done was for Demon TV, the Student TV shizzle, I'm part of the news team. I've only recently joined and only done a few things but I shall improve.

Get to wear a suit and everything, and it's in Leeds for some reason...

  2. Me and my flatmate watch a film just about every night. Here's a lowdown of the weeks films:

    Howl's Moving Castle:

Absolute wank, stuff happened for no general reason and was never explained, we laughed at the witch becoming a vegetable and regularly quote "Ooh what a lovely fire...". Visually spectacular no doubt but Very Dissapointed after the magic that was Spirited Away. 2/10

    The Terminal:

We like The Hanks in the flat, found some lovely moments, like the Indian [Apologies, Native American] plate spinning etc, the minimal usage of Zeta Jones was a blessing, 6/10

    The Polar Express:

    Hanks, legend. 6/10

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels:

I forced my flatmate to watch this, after forcing him to watch Snatch last week, he said Snatch was better however I'm torn on them both. But I think Lock Stock wins it for me, 8/10

    Keeping Mum:

About as bad as Howl's Moving Castle, nay, worse. We actually fully watched Howl's. We gave up on this film after 40 minutes. Nothing actually happened. The daughter was fit as you like but even that couldn't keep our interest. 1/10

    The Mummy:

    Quality film, 7-8/10

  3. Lynne's getting on my wick again. Harold's about to confess to Susan then Lynne, having used some form of homing beacon [i say she planted a tracking device on Susan] bursts in, in Harold's food preparation area, blubbering in her selfish way, again.

"Oh I could really use a friend"

Stop driving them away with your selfish meddling ways, and get your hair back to the proper way it was before godammit!

As much as neighbours rocks, this thread doesn't need to be stickied. If it's popular, it'll stay up on the first page anyway.

Stunning rationale, with logic like that I hope never to see a topic stickied by you, ever again.

  4. There may be spoilers perchance, don't want to see? Hit that X.

Stolen from some sexy dude called EEVILMURRAY at the Tales Forum [thing at the top gives it away] the ending to the Harry Potter series is revealed!

From fans bitching about Dumbledore not really being dead, or Snape not really being Evil has prompted Rowling into a magical ending which will please little shits the world over.

    Now savour.

  5. I've asked my PC knowledged flatmate to help me out, we're tried a load of shite, using teh XP disc and pressing repair/R, we managed to rename and overwrite the hal.dll file [meaning it was there but they're saying it isn't] and it still says it can't find it.

Now I've got some Ubuntu thing on my Pc which basically gives me internet usage.

  6. what disk format ntfs or fat? if it's ntfs the win98 boot disk won't work.

    I dunnae knoooow.

Managed to get Odwins boot thing to activate, but it said some file was corrupt.

I managed to get another boot disk working, but when I try the commands Jordan supplied it says C:\WINDOWS\system32 is an invalid path!

  7. I don't understand it but it isn't booting from the disc at all. I've selected it to boot from floppy first, then disc, then HDD, but it seems to be ignoring it totally. Not making any noise.

I've formatted it as a MSDOS then added the hal.dll file for j00r transfer method.

I moved the write protection thing both ways in case that did anything but I'm not getting any results.

  8. I can make a boot disk with right clicking on the A drive and format [do I select it as a MSDOS boot thing?]

For some reason it doesn't seem to want to boot from the floppy, in the old days of former computers it asks for the disk to be removed [if it just had regular data on it] then it would load up. I've had a look in the Bios thing but I cannae make head nor tails of it.

  9. I just installed the latest Windows Update on Shabba-X and restarted as you do. Now it says it can't start because the file is missing:

    <windows root>\system 32\hal.dll

Would it be possible for me to get the file of someone and somehow install it back on? Because I've got some important uni work on there and really can't afford another fresh reinstall right now.

    Muchos help needed please!

  10. Yeah...they've changed it twice. It used to be 0800 10 15000 or something :hmm: It just sounds wrong now....It didn't piss me off with the old ones, it was just on ALL the time (thats how i remember the no.:heh:)

It was 0800215000, I remember because they made a point of being able to borrow 800 to [2] 15,000 quid.

I won't hear a bad word said about the new Walkers adverts, Lineker is the shit.

I've just remembered the DFS advert [mainly because it just came on] with this model shit, Models getting angsty that attention isn't on them for once, then they clap at the end!?

    ARGH

  11. I agree with the Pizza Hut ones, maybe they're trying to offer suggestions of what to do while you're waiting for the food, because it takes the piss waiting.

Aero. Two bints, poorly dubbed wanking on about the bubbles melting on their tongue.

  12. The Lombard Direct ad has been pissing me off, bastard talking phone, plus they've changed the phone number, it had relevance before. In fact most loan ads, because they automatically assume the blokes want a car and the women want "home improvements"

I know this technically isn't an ad as such but I'm remixing sponsorships into this. For those in the East Midlands our weather for local news is sponsored by BMI Baby who have this poorly animated flying baby gobshite taking advantage of the weather and just making everything his bitch. He should get struck by lightning then I'll piss on him.

  13. The Hoff has mad music video skillz

That was all shot on location and the Hoff did all his own stunts, yes. He can indeed fly and be in more than one place at once.

Now I know this could have gone in the random crap sticky thingy on high, but I figured: It was The Hoff. The rationale speaks for itself. And if it's already been posted there/here/somewhere then the rationale works for why it's been posted again.
