Yeah, Mike Ashley owns them both and the vast majority of Game stores moved into Sports Direct about 2 years ago now.
Plus Sainsbury's has owned Argos for years too. Plus Habitat so some of the very large stores have homeware from Sainsbury's, Argos and Habitat all in one store but under different brands 🤷♂️
I've known of the Argos/Sainsbury's remix for years, mainly since the two closest Argos' closed and the nearest can only be found in a Sainsbury's miles away. I only ever go into Sports Direct to buy footwear, so I only just found out

Went to Sports Direct to buy some new trainers as the heels had worn down making me slip occasionally... And discovered that like Argos' are appearing in Sainsbury's, there appeared to be a GAME store in a Sports Direct. Naturally I had to have a browse. Found this delightful t-shirt for 8 quid. I could not resist.

I mean, yeah, is this only in Multiplayer? Why is it "foot" instead of "feet"? These matters are never discussed in articles.
You can footlick solo

I think you may need to say more.
I don't want to spoil the whole game for you! If you go in the water they play a Jaws-esque theme plays with a massive black gaping hole biting at you. Get on it people.

I think the sprite gets mirrored, but I'm thinking the right... ?

Somehow, none of my predictions came true
But it was a pretty solid showing:
- Gonna try out the demos for Pepper Grinder and Unicorn Overlord;
- The 5 Rare games are games I have never really played, so to my NSO backlog they go;
- Penny looks good, though my priorities are elsewhere right now (same thing goes for Another Crab, really);
- Pretty cool to see Epic Mickey return, honestly. Wishlisted;
- I already have Pocket Card Jockey on the 3DS, so I won't repurchase it, but it's really dang good!;
- Monkey Ball, Endless Ocean, and MH Stories aren't my cup of tea, but I'm happy they're there.
All in all, pretty decent.
I recommend bringing in a friend for Snake Rattle n Roll, it's two player bit munching fun about getting fat enough to leave the level.
And you can lick a foot to death. Need I say more...

Naturally fire starters all the way again. But this begins the annoying trend of putting fire and fighting together.

Watching the trailer, I was a bit concerned on the roguelike nature of the dives, the footage had some nice looking underwater temple things, you only get one chance to explore it before it disappears forever/whenever it is generated again on rotation, assuming at random?
Also, is there some sort of oxygen based timeframe?

I don't get a lot of mileage out of Mario Party. Though from the showcase it looked like it could offer some frantic fun.
I can't help but find it pretentious when someone keeps speaking the full title of the show. You know no one ever says it, save your syllables and say Demon Slayer

Fantasy Life: good to see it pop up.
Demon Slayer Sweep the Board: curious what this entails.I've seen a gameplay video for Sweep the Board, it's literally Mario Party. If I was more of a fan of the series I might've considered it
Fantasy Life I felt confused about the structure, you go to the past, to steal stuff to build in the future?! Why cut down a tree in its infancy to build a bench in the present, let that tree grow and harvest the lumber when it's huge, or have you build something in the past so it's there in the present... Am I missing a trick here...

Damn. I need Switch 2... in 2027 on the condition nothing else comes out except what's officially known.
Perhaps even JFG if we behave ourselves.

Rare comes to NSO!
We’re finally getting their pre-N64 games too!
I know right? finally! maybe we'll get the Donkey Kong Country games and Goldeneye next time...

If they say it's for the first half of 2024, then if your game doesn't have a release date you sit down and shut the fuck up until you've got something. Then they piss all over the format with Fantasy Life Aai.
Snake Rattle N Roll was the saving grace there. Fucking love that game.

I could see a return to Johto being on the cards at some point - even if it's "just" a Let's Go title -
I think I'd prefer an ILCA Johto remake to a Let's Go title, janky as their first attempt was I get what they were going for, as I don't think they were given an appropriate timescale or budget.
Wash your fucking mouth out right now.

You wash your fucking mouth out right now too!

H'WHAT?! You want something but you haven't played the former incarnation?! Wash your fucking mouth out thrice more times for your absolute cheek.
The Let's Go games were just dull. The Safari Zone had its appeal as it was a small niche area. Spreading that concept across the whole region sucked the excitement, and the challenge, out of everything.

Similarly, anime has this trope where they just outright explain what they're doing, because they can't be bothered to find a way to show you naturally, i.e. "the demon detected that I was going to feint one way, and then adjusted his stance to counter my attack! Oh my!"
Is this regarding the drum dude?
I feel what you're saying, which is why I haven't been going through it as vigorously as I could. I think I'll try to finish My Hero Academia instead of trying to find new anime to watch.
I did watch Porco Rosso on Netflix, that was an unusual watch.

Thinking about this I'm really having a tricky time about thinking about what they could come out with of any substance. I mean, there will probably be 1-2 new Pokémon for Unite, something for Masters EX, there was a recent tweet about new Concierge episodes, so probably more information on that.
Maybe some more added stuff to the DLC for Scarlet/Violet on top of the starters update.
Black and White remake would be the next step on the pattern, which wouldn't be a bad thing.
Fingers crossed as always for a new Ranger game.

You guys are making me want to play this now... it seems so in depth

I finally watched the dubbed Attack on Titan finale part 2 yesterday, my word... how lame. I would query if it followed the manga (not that it would really matter), but based on Julius' load blowing above, it kinda does.
SpoilerMuch like the whole saga, this started with so much promise, the final battle was awesome, but then it started to decline.
I had already had it spoiled for me who was going to kill Eren, so I was expecting a really emotional tormenting exchange between the two before the final blow, and there was build up to this, but instead we got a simple slice which seemed so smooth I thought they were going to pull a hologram/decoy card. but nope, that was it. Job done. They must've spent too much time with Armin in his whiny philosophical scenes to fit it in.
Then cut to some sort of lifetime montage of Eren telling Armin about the events and wiping his memory about the conversation, which looked like it happened several times during their time together (the first even before the events of the first season?) and the rationale for all the killing was:
A) He doesn't really know
B) Reasons
C) He wanted to see this weird lake/swamp of blood
I mean, I was going on the events of carnage/prisoner dumping from another land/torture/etc from the previous seasons to be rationale enough for an anime villain and their character arc. But hey, fuck me I guess, he just wanted to. They might as well have put a giant sign telling me to go fuck myself and I wasted all that time watching him be conflicted about stuff, then it's revealed he's told other people about this too, he knew what would happen and didn't seem to give that much of a shit, so we were treated to several seasons of good acting. When did he get this Professor X style power?
Mikasa was transported to some sort of alternate timeline where he and Eren live in a cabin? I first thought it was one of those anime things where the character goes into one of those self-delusions ("I don't feel like I'm supposed to be here"), before breaking free. Like Evangelion but less shit. But it seems it was Eren's psychic sorcery at work again.
All of this seems to stem from some girl being pissed off a coupla thousand years ago, who I think was the parasite worm thing? Turning people into titans though, that was great and was looking forward to another good battle, but missed a trick there.
Falco flying, which titan did he get that power from/when?
I am surprised that Levi didn't die, when people normally start seeing the ghosts it generally means they're on their way, but I guess it "wasn't his time yet"
Epilogue = pointless. Really couldn't give a shit. Credits show tree getting bigger and the city getting more advanced before being destroyed, I'm guessing the writers were trying to nudge me saying "Hey hey, Peace doesn't last forever, do you get it?", and then I am Legend turning up and walking into the tree as if it's some sort of teaser/satisfying ending?
Like Bob, I felt a bit confused on some of the faces later on, like the woman who took over the army. She looked familiar, but I'd lost interest.
I think one of the things that made this so disjointed for me was the release. There was such a delay between everything I'd forgotten half of the stuff before the next instalment came along, plus the penchant for jumping through time/location without warning was confusing. I think if I had started watching it for the first time with everything out, I might feel different. Instead I have something which started off so amazing, then started to have all sorts of random tat crammed in that it became a mess.

Play whatever else you have in the meantime (Baiton Kaitos Origins when?) and see if this makes it onto the GBA NSO.
I'm not in any rush, I do still need to play Baten Kaitos Origins though!
I've got some of the DS Mario v Donkey Kong games if I'm need dire need of playage

The responses above are most disappointing. I was expecting more of a challenge to come from this game but y'all been breezing through it. To be honest the demo didn't fill me with much optimism, as it was just the tutorial instead of more challenging gameplay to whet the appetite.
I think I'll wait until it's under £30 before consideration.
Nintendo, stop fucking about and make Captain Toad 2.

American Football is very stop-start. Every couple of seconds, with a bad pass or with a single tackle, the game stops, players regroup, discuss tactics, pick a plan and then wait for a new kick-off. You never seem to be able to play long enough to get used to the controls or actually enjoy the gameplay. I also found it interesting that wasting time by waiting as long as possible to choose tactics is a key part of the game, as the CPU player did it to me towards the end of the match.
American Football players also seem to spend most of their time just standing around, while the referee runs with the ball far more than the players. Even in this game (where you would expect that to skip these bits), I seemed to watch the referee more than the players. He’s clearly the most athletic person on the pitch.
Great isn't it? Super Bowl lasted only 4 hours last week
