In case you can't be bothered to type in a 260 character password,...

Then you deserve nothing! NOTHING I TELL YOU.

I've just gotten the Reveal skill, so I'm a bit behind. The Saturos battle at Mercury Lighthouse was a ballache. I thought I would've been alright for it, as I've done a fair bit of rambling so did more battling than normal, but he kept shafting me each time. So I got a little sneaky with the rewind

Must say I've come around on Harry. He wants that money and I think he's going to get it. He's right to not be chuffed to see them get rid of the stronger mission performers. The faithful are a lost cause—left to their own devices, they vote off each other.

I think if they recruit another traitor, the new person will be wary of a potential double-cross from Harry, which Andrew suspected from the off (which I was surprised by), and it may be his downfall if he goes balls deep on getting rid of another traitor.

They've put a few strong characters in the faithful this series, you're right that they'd probably implode, as there's 2-3 people pulling everyone in different directions, and by the time they get wise to it as those numbers fall, it'll probably be too late.

  3. Thinking back, making muscle man Andrew a traitor wasn't that bad an idea, because the concept of putting thrice traitors in the dungeon would've been a silly idea, but he seems to have a bit of an abrupt personality change (but could be down to editing), so faithful could deduce he may have been recruited.

I hope Charlotte doesn't get murdered. I'm enjoying her bath scenes in the evening.

  4. For a nearly 7 minute video, that had dramatically less "gameplay reveal" than I was expecting. But I loved that dudes leather jacket.

One thing about the music "transition" going from field into battle (the 4.50 mark), maybe it was too subtle for me to register, but from what I could tell, it added a bit of a army marching drum and the violins(?) got a little louder, but the transition was so slow he'd already defeated one monster before the music noticeably changed?

I got vibes of coming close to your first Deku Baba and that sinister music sneaking in, was perfect. Or for a more immediate transition, have both tracks playing at the same time and shift the volume - which I understand is how they smoothly went between land/water moments in Banjo Kazooie

  5. I really dislike non-physical stuff. Every time I get something on Steam I worry that something will fuck up and corrupt everything. I've bought some games digitally on Switch etc, but they are ones I could in theory do without, but that doesn't mean I enjoy the risk.

I want to play Sea of Stars, but I've been waiting for the physical release

Thank God they’re doing both at once, or else the wait would be tortuous to carry on with the story.

Will be interesting to see how they handle the save transfer feature.  Because with how the link cable support is currently set up? There will be no way to actually make use of the save data transfer feature without having to resort to passwords…

You quit that bitching and get a pen and paper out to write your gold password NAAAOW.

No, no you cannot take screenshots with the capture button.

  7. I suppose I should:

Get round to finishing the TV show (because it sucked ass so I didn't bother)

Replay the game, although I think I may need to re-purchase it, as I'm not sure what format I have it on/current console ownage.

  8. A bit confused as to why they ended on the note they did. All reality/talent shows love the bit of drawing out long pauses between giving verdicts on things, and editing it so they're longer to draw the suspense out for the viewer... but we know what's going to happen. Ash is going to confess to being a Traitor and get kicked off (I saw her on that Ed Gamble thing on BBC 2, so we know there's no twist of her coming back [I didn't watch the show though,]) and Meg will end up murdered that night.

I think the latest Traitor may be the next villain to go if he doesn't start inputting stuff. Even though people have been wrong, everyone has had a suspicion, all he ever says is "I don't know/I have no idea", which is going to start singling him out.

I also think I saw the psychic lady at work today. I think she works at the same hospital as I. So I'm guessing she didn't win.

  9. I was about to say "A weird move uploading something which looks like it offers nothing new so long after release", before doing a double take and realising this isn't out yet... Props to me for catching that early. ¬_¬

I will probably end up getting this at some point, maybe as a birthday treat from me to me, or tell the missus to get it.

Coming out of the demo though a few weeks ago, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop saying " 'z nuts" whenever they mention D.

      Goldilocks (Reveal hidden contents)

The bear was the supercomputer AI "Teddy" Roosevelt, basically responsible for the United States (of Thracia) going to war with Persia, as the AI seized the opportunity and preyed on the president's anxieties while using him as a spearhead.

    Gesicht.

      Dun dun dunnnnnnn (Hide contents)

Worth remembering that this is essentially an adaptation/retelling of an Astro Boy arc.

While I certainly found much more enjoyment spending time with Gesicht through the course of the show, in terms of story, it makes complete sense that he, as a detective, has fulfilled his role in the story once he has figured out the plot – Atom took over at the end for when things got more nonsensical, action-heavy, and more like a show for kids (because, well, Astro Boy).

Curious if you've watched Monster? I really enjoyed the anime adaptation of Pluto, but I really feel like Monster is where Urasawa's character writing and story planning gets to be shown off best, without the constraints of paying respect and homage to another great's work and with a comparatively much longer time to spend with it's characters. It's a very slow burn, mind you!

Your bear thing in spoiler tag didn't seem to translate into the quote above... this system is most temperamental... but was any of that ever explained/hinted? I only recall constant mention of the survey team, which seemed to do anything but.

I've never watched Astro Boy, but the resemblance was not lost on me, however I didn't think it was related.

    Spoiler

I would initially disagree that because the case had been revealed, Gesicht was surplus to the plot. Especially since he's been shown to kick ass and has a nice gun arm, it would've been nice to see him slap on some cuffs and bake 'em away toys... Whereas Atom just chatted whimsical bollocks (until he got a personality makeover and became Cell Saga SSJ2 Gohan).

Even pacifist Epsilon had more action going for him, but they made him pussy out at the last minute.

But with your Astro Boy thing, it makes more sense they'd get everyone else out of the way so their poster boy can take credit.

I haven't watched Monster, looking at the Wikipedia it says it's 72 episodes, so probably never will :p

I've been slipping with the anime, I finally finished second season of Goblin Slayer, slowly working through latest Dr Stone. I did start My Daemon, but CGI anime always seems to stutter, which I find jarring and really confusing how this happens, I would expect it to be really smooth.

I watched Pluto, having seen Julius give it a recommendation (he said it was superb, which i think counts)

It WAS good. Although the ending was a bit *hand-wavey* and silly. All the same, it was an engaging story with some interesting themes.

I didn't like how Pluto defeated Bora using some Deus Ex Machina 'peltier effect' rubbish. He somehow summoned his broken limbs back and rejoined them (using robot magic?) and then negated the anti-proton bomb and the heat of molten lava using the Peltier effect?! Made no sense and none of which had been alluded to previously.

I finally finished it yesterday, it certainly went up its own arse towards the end, complete with some inner-psychological-waffle that Evangelion made oh-so popular. It all started to get a bit muddled with who was/wasn't a robot and why, but from what I gathered after all the back and forth, was some foreign dude was mad about a war and decided to go on an assassination campaign before destroying the world with a foetus bomb.

I have no idea why they decided to swap out Gesicht for Atom as our hero of the hour. He was just annoying throughout whereas Gesicht was interesting and the investigation angle was compelling.

    And what was the bear?!

I'd say it looks like she's brought some preconceptions to the table with her, yeah. Anthony doesn't seem like a bad spud at all. Hope they stop being so naive and catch on to the big ginge that's positioned himself as head of the group and gang leader of the traitors.

Both me and the missus was feeling the vibe, plus a colleague at work and I did spy a few on Twitter. It seems her whole logic is based on "he was standing somewhere first, I wanted to stand there but he wouldn't let me. That's very traitor-esque behaviour". This being done before the Traitors were even selected. The other lass from the platform had more logic to her.

Then I don't get why they go after Ash, saying she was going around talking to people and asking who they were thinking of, which is the tactic of 100% of people there, including the ones who all discussed voting for her. You have just a feeling? That's fine, run with that, just don't use identical behaviour to everyone else as an excuse.

Bought in the looser sense of the word, by exchanging points on the Nintendo store, like cash, like a transaction... ¬_¬

I was tempted to go for the Mario bag, as I don't really play the Kirby games (can't think of one I've invested more than 10 minutes in), but this looks much cuter/less garish than bright yellow.

four hours...this is going in the watch later pile...

The Hbomberguy one can be watched in person chapters, at least for the first half. The second half and all their chapters are all Somerton twattery.

Alternatively for the Maddox fans in the house, he's uploading his chapters individually over a month or two (some already out) so you can catalogue your bite size Armenian action, apparently with additional content, but sources have said there isn't any.
