  1. Name That Game: 2012 Edition

    1: red steel?
  2. Makin' Music

Anyone still making music on this? I created a new youtube account lately dedicated for my music. Put up your tracks sure
  3. Sonic Adventure 2 HD

1/3 of this game was awesome. The tails and knuckles missions were honestly chronic. Despite this I do like the game a lot. When it was good it was AWESOME. I'm not surprised to see people complain about how it has dated to be honest.
  4. Sonic Adventure 2 HD

short but always loved this theme
  5. Sega Europe Shutting Down Offices

“Some categories are just not working in the market anymore. Titles like Iron Man 2 or other film licences, they don’t work." Iron man 2 was seriously one of the worst games I've ever played. It's no wonder it didn't work. Most of Sega's licensed games were awful, hence why it was taken away from them.
  6. Eurovision 2012

Sweden should have won last year too. This song was great. Still in my head!
  7. Funny Stuff Thread

I know its not christmas but this had me in bits. Best example of irish youtube
  8. Red Dwarf

I didn't think 7 or 8 were shit either. 7 was more focused on story than comedy and it did well with that. However it was the first series not to be in front of an audience and as such was filmed weirdly. This classic moment was from series 7 for instance. 8 had it's moments too. The cassandra episode was fantastic. Back to earth was meh though... I don't know. Rimmer and Lister's relationship with captain hollister(sp?) in some of the episodes like Pete part 1 was fantastic. I will agree with Kochanski was completely unneeded and probably so was Holly. brilliance:D
  9. Funny Stuff Thread

Very few views but I found it hilarious. Guy from my town through it up.
  10. Iconic gaming images

I thought this would be more iconic gaming moments rather than famous gaming logos. I have to rethink my choices now
  11. The Hunger Games

Hmm I wasn't going to post this here but I do comedy reviews every now and then and this movie just called for it. http://revengeofthesurfboardingkillerbikinivampiregirls.wordpress.com/2012/04/03/hunger-games-teh-review/ Do let me know what you think. It's a new hobby of mine
  12. How can you help someone with depression?

I'm bipolar. The one with massives highs and lows. I'm either super cheerful or the opposite. It was fairly bad until I started talking to people( well forced to really). Make sure it's someone who loves you and will try to help you if you feel like talking to someone. Last thing anyone wants is to be treated differently...It's hard to explain and I'm not the most grammer savvy person on the forum. For advice. Get outside more and go for plenty of excercise and eat healthy. This is easier said than done though, because she may have a tendency feel like "what's the point?" Depression is the cancer of the mind. It still isn't taken as seriously as it should in society. You'll also notice it tends to be more creative people that suffer from it. At least in my experience.
  13. Same-Sex Marriage

I didn't think anyone would disagree on this forum to be fair. It just goes to show that when the over 40's die out, this will no longer be an issue. I wonder what we will disprove of though when we're 40
  14. bad stuff thread.

Can I ask ye guys a question? I'm just wondering how to get around the youtube copyright system. A few mates up mine put up a charity vid using "somebody I used to know" song with themselves parodying the song. I feel really sorry for them when it got taken down. I'm just wondering is there any truth to these urban myths of youtube having automatic scanners and such. If there was pitch in the audio was changed would it help?
  15. Public Speaking

Most people are terrible are public speaking. EVen politicians. My biggest tip would be to not "ammmmm" and "ommm" when you're thinking mid-sentence. Instead a short silence is more effective. It takes a lot of practice I'm sure. Irish people are terrible at it.
  16. EZA Game Sleuth (GT Pop Fiction)

I'm not so sure about that one at all.... it seems to be only 2 pitches coming from the shots. A lot of it is in the listeners mind I think...
  17. Metroid Fusion

Really happy to see people enjoying this classic again. I had no idea it was available on 3ds and can't believe it's been almost 10 years since it first came out! O.O
  18. Super Metroid!

I preferred it to fusion as well. I always felt like Fusion held your hand too much. Also the music in fusion was bloody weird, almost like they didn't know how to push the gba sound yet. PLus Zero had that great twist where you think it's over but zero samus section has only begun. I heard people saying it's shorter than fusion ,but I only think that is because the gameplay is MUCH faster. Samus absolutely FLIES through that game.
  19. Mario Kart 7

I very much agree with this. It never used to be this repetitive either. I started falling out of nintendo games about 2 years into the Wii. I still played the DS for a bit, but have thus far found very little reason to switch to the 3ds. There doesn't seem to be that excellent title. Here's example of titles that blew my mind. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Metroid Prime Super mario galaxy 1 and even 2. The best Nintendo titles are ones that take risks. Sure sometimes it may not work out like starfox adventures, but they tried something different. When was the last time they seriously took a chance? Even skyward sword is playing it safe.
  20. Going Bald

Mine is fading at the very top, but I had an accident few months ago where I was bottled and my head was stitched. Hair has never grown back there since. Unfortunetly I can also see myself gaining bit of weight. I'm a small fucker and everyone tells me I'm mad, but when you feel it yourself you know. It's not the end of the world though
  21. Sonic 4: Episode 2

I'm still not sure why they made these games. I have a very hard time understanding who it's meant to appeal to.The old fans will hate it because it plays differently and lacks most of the features of the nearly 20 year old sonic 3. New fans will hate it because it lacks all the bells and whistles of the newer ones. But as was said above. These are obviously made as a "tribute" or something to the originals. You're not going to see many newer ideas here. It's kinda why this is most likely going to fall on it's arse like episode 1. Sonic generations pretty much nailed the 2d aspect. The graphics were incredible and the controls were great. Sega are too stupid/scared to release a high budget 2d sonic game though.
  22. Gaelic Games - Coming to Sky Sports

I've been reading through this thread and thinking about what to say for some time now. I think I've decided that I love the idea of hurling and have virtually no opinion on gaelic football. I'm from Limerick, so we suck at everything and nobody cares about Gaelic here. I have a lot of respect for GAA for keeping things like hurling and gaelic popular for THIS long. It cannot be easy with the strong competition from Soccer and Rugby. HOWEVER the GAA culture is pretty backward sometimes. It's very much a rural Ireland sport so tends to be...a bit behind in mentality compared to other sports. For example homophobia is pretty rampant and isn't reported as such by the GAA. The young people who play it tend to be complete retards in my experience too. I went to a school that was massive on rugby and hurling and boy the difference is something. But that's just a generalisation based on my own personal experiences. I'm sure there are loads of lovely hurlers ( I just haven't met many open-minded ones)
