  1. Nintendo Switch Online: NES

That's a great list to launch the SNES service on the Switch. So, so many great games to choose from.
  2. Yooka Laylee And The Impossible Lair

I re-bought Yooka Laylee on the Switch (well, won a £20 eshop card and it was on sale), considering getting this on the Switch to go alongside it. So far, it looks good and much better than the first. They have said that this style would suit the game better.
  3. Indie Games

Didn't think they'd do a 2nd one, but i'm all for it. Loved the 1st game.
  4. Indie World Presentation on 19/08/19

Not a lot stood out for me, Ori looks like the highlight for me having never played it.
  5. Destiny 2

I've been playing on/off the past week or so, first time in nearly a year. Light level is high enough for raids/nightfalls etc, seems Bungie were right in making it easier to level up light quicker for low light players. I'm up for some raids, probably do a couple over the bank holiday weekend. Can do some in the week as well, work permitting. Never done any of the raids since getting Destiny 2, so i would be a complete novice on them.
  6. Concrete Genie (PS4)

It's nice to see a release date for this, more so this year. There's not a lot left to get on PS4 (for me anyway) this year, and this is one of the games. It's next year that'll be busy again PS4-wise.
  7. It's a bit tougher choosing WiiU titles here, but my nominations are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Super Smash Brothers for WiiU Yoshi's Woolly World Pikmin 3
  8. Rate the last film you saw

The Mummy (2017) Kind of encouraged to watch it by my partner, so i did. I kept comparing it to the 1999 Brendan Fraser classic remake of the original 1932 movie, because the Tom Cruise reboot wasn't much good. Too many holes, the Mummy itself of Princess Ahmenet wasn't very powerful compared to Imohtep. Yeah, probably won't watch it again. To me, this was worse than the 3rd Mummy movie (also starring Brendan Fraser).
  9. Tetris 99 -- Available Today

Was handy having the Friday off work, mananged to get the Splatoon theme within an hour. Even recorded my highest ever position at 11 (got the top 20 3x)
  10. Super Mario Maker 2 -- June 2019

Can you use any stylus on Switch, or does it have to be an official one. Edit: Had a look, most rubber tipped ones you can use with mobile and tablets should work, so ordered one for later Been playing the level creator for a few hours, already made 1 level that's impossible to beat (for me). Too many Bowsers and Squids.
  11. Funny Stuff Thread

Weird, no idea what went wrong with the embed. Especially as everyone saw something different.
  12. Detective Pikachu - The Movie

Thought the movie was pretty good, certainly bucked the trend for being a decent movie based on a gaming franchise.
  13. Remembering the Nintendo GameCube

The GameCube was the last console i had bought for me (well, partially as i had money from my first paypacket and they topped it up). Got the console around my birthday from Virgin Megastores, they had an offer on where i got the console, memory card and 2 games for about £200(ish). Was the perfect console, and the one machine that i played consistently (well, as much as i could outside of college and work). Then the GBA/GC adapter came about, and that meant big-screen Gameboy games. Playing A Link to the Past and Minish Cap on the big screen was great, especially as batteries were not needed. It's a shame that Nintendo didn't carry on with the online play until the Wii days. Smash Melee and Mario Kart could have been epic online.
  14. Tough to pick just 5, however for now i'm going for Super Mario World A Link to the Past Super Metroid Donkey Kong Country F-Zero Bound to be edited before closure
  15. Brexit - UK negotiates a deal

Enough is enough, 3 times it's gone to MP's and 3 times it's been rejected. MP's don't want a No Deal, they don't want her deal. They don't want to give us a 2nd vote, they don't want to revoke Article 50. Just what do they want, maybe it's about time they listened to the people again. But they made it clear they don't want to do that either.
  16. Brexit - UK negotiates a deal

So MP's can't decide what they want Just bring it to the people, who are speaking quite loud and clear at present. Then once that's done, call a General Election.
  17. General Switch Discussion

The way Sony and Microsoft have handled their more powerful PS4's and Xbox One machines, everything worked on any PS4/Xbox One right down to accessories. So it didn't matter which version of those machines you got, everything worked. Games were more optimized for the more powerful machines, but they worked on the lower tier models. Which is perfectly fine and it won't alienate the install base. However, they did replace the OG models with the Slim and S respectively, so i'm expecting the Switch mini to replace the current Switch. Maybe a lot of 3rd party accessories won't work on the new Switch models at the start, but i'm almost guaranteeing that 1st party stuff will work no problem. So Joy-cons, Pro Controllers, Docks and the GC adaptor will be fine. I'm guessing they'll provide iterations or updates to allow the 2nd and 3rd party accessories to work.
  18. General Switch Discussion

As long as all current and future Switch games work on all models of the Switch, i can't see an issue. It does sound like it will, so that's a good thing. Making a Switch-lite and a Pro model, and discontinuing the current Switch is the most logical way forward. keeping the current model about will just confuse things.
  19. 3DS Console Discussion

8 years today, the 3DS launched in Europe. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/03/anniversary_nintendo_3ds_launched_8_years_ago_today_in_europe
  20. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

I'm quite fortunate still with Newport, most people go in after the raids are done and only a few remain out. And as it's mostly an Instinct town (the area i'm in anyway), it's quite easy to get coins still.
