  1. Pikmin Bloom (mobile)

Sent requests to everyone who posted a code above, for others mine is 8553 5584 7495 This weekend brings the first Pikmin Community Day. It'll be different to other games CD, get a badge for walking 10,000 steps in a day, seeds will grow faster and more nectar from fruits. Been finding the game pretty decent, nice for it to record steps without the game being open. Got an app on my phone which syncs my Samsung watch steps to Google Fit once a day. When i'm doing stuff like Ring Fit or making a cuppa, i don't tend to carry my phone around, so at least i'll get a few extra steps in.
  2. The Tomorrow Children (PS4)

    That's something i wasn't expecting. Current-gen version incoming (hopefully).
  3. House buying is the worst

Getting the keys for the new house on Friday, were meant to get them 2 weeks ago but the owners daughter asked for a bit longer as they needed to clear out. Been packing over the weekend, the landlord wants us out by months end. Have put in notices to swap our gas/electric across and the internet as i'm still home working for a while yet. Making use of friends and family over the next weekend to move stuff from the flat, and got a van coming on Monday to take the bulky goods.
  4. Think i'll treat this Switch revision the same as i did when they announced the 3DSXL/New 3DS. Probably will pick it up, but only if my current model decides to break. I don't see enough of an upgrade to this revision to rush out and get it when it comes out.
  5. Metroid Dread

Have noticed that both Zero Mission and Fusion are charting in the WiiU eShop, with Metroid Prime coming in 4th since Dread was revealed at E3. Physical copies of Fusion, Zero Mission and Samus Returns are flying off virtual shelves, with prices for some being pretty high. I think the love for Metroid is still there.
  6. House buying is the worst

Mortgage approved on Friday, had the survey report back on checking the property for any issues also on Friday. Rated from Green, Amber to Red. Green being ok, red being "Needs fixing now". Had a couple of red, down to electrics, gas and boiler. A deeper search was because they couldn't find or had access to the latest inspection documents so had no idea if they were ok. Have let the solicitor know, so hopefully the issues are resolved before we hand over monies Update The vendor has found the documentation for the gas and boiler, however none for the electricity. They have agreed after we asked (no legal obligation to do so) to get in an electrician to do the checks. So that's one less cost to worry about, which is good news for us.
  7. House buying is the worst

Had an offer accepted on a house start of May, so finally moving out from private rental to ownership hopefully by middle to end of July. We're sick of the neighbours downstairs smoking weed, blasting loud music and just being annoying. Landlord was round the other month and could smell weed, thought it was me. Absolute pain in the rear searching for a place, we saw many houses over the past few months but they were going so, so quick. Offers going on before a viewing was done was one tactic. We went to see one house, but when we got there, an offer was put on and accepted before we stepped foot in the door. Didn't see the point of viewing it after that. Saw one which had a garage, but didn't belong to the house but to a neighbour. In the end, i think it was a case of the owner of the current house accepted our offer as we were first time buyers looking for somewhere to live other than buying up somewhere to rent it back out (which has happened a lot to the houses we've seen ourselves). Was an article i saw the other week, where in Cornwall a house was sold to FTB at a lower offer than a higher one as they were local to the area. Thought that was nice.
  8. Thanks for reminding me, i nearly forgot
  9. Got mine tomorrow. NHS Wales seem to like reminding me every hour today that it's tomorrow.
  10. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

Discord on PlayStation, it's been needed. PlayStation ended their community channels on PS4, so this makes more sense after this new partnership now.
  11. The Wrasslin' thread

Aye. It also caused him a lot of issues which nearly cost him all his friends and his WWF/E career until he found faith, cleaned up and got back into shape. The Summerslam 2002 match being his first back, he was strongly protected by Trips as to not re-aggravate his back issues.
  12. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Never completed Skyward Sword on the Wii. It's nice they've finally added controls suitable for handheld, which they kind of had to for Switch Lite owners or those who prefer playing in handheld over docked mode (i know many people who do). Wonder what else they've changed to the game this time around.
  13. River Raids launch later today around 12pm. https://www.vg247.com/2021/02/16/assassins-creed-valhalla-river-raids-patch/ Also, there's some fixes coming in the patch (all details in the link, but the bigger ones for info) Runes and used resources to upgrade Berserker gear will be returned to the player inventory when an item is lost. Improved vibration feedback during fishing. Addressed an issue that caused players to leave disguise mode if players perform any attack while riding. Addressed an issue that prevented players from catching fish in the sea or on coastlines. Addressed an issue that caused school of fish to take a long time to respawn after one was caught. Items purchased at the Animus Store will only be given to players after returning to England from Vinland. Changed predator charge attack animations to give players a little more time to react. Addressed an issue that prevented fabric from being available. Added date of purchase to items listed in the owned section of the store. Removed diamond rune slots from gear set pieces other than torsos. Runes that were slotted into these will be returned to the player inventory. Addressed various graphics or lighting issues. Addressed various texture issues. Addressed an issue that caused explosion VFX to be missing when oil jars explode. Oil jars will now go BOOM. (PS4/PS5) The Muspell Warg mount will now burn with the fires of Hel! The blood of your enemies will now soil all clothing. Addressed various character or NPC animation issues. Addressed various clipping issues. Addressed an issue that prevented visual effects of the Draugr set to be displayed. Addressed an issue that caused arrows to disappear from the quiver after reequipping the bow from the inventory
  14. bad stuff thread.

Update on our boiler issues. Electric board in the cupboard is faulty, it's sending a signal to the pump to run consistent and the boiler to fire up. We had the heating valve changed, and in the process the boiler guy fried the hot water valve he replaced a few weeks ago. Electrician out on Monday to check all the wiring out, possible rewiring needed. Landlord had to give the go ahead, but had little choice really. We can use the boiler, but have to cut the power after we've heated the flat through, otherwise it'll never go off even if we switch the heat setting off
  15. bad stuff thread.

Having some boiler issues myself. Started back in December, woke up to no power in the flat. Process of elimination sourced it to the boiler (switched everything off, then switched things back on one by one). Messaged the landlord, he bought over some heaters (luckily have an immersion for hot water as back-up, only have it on maximum an hour a day). Problem fixed by an engineer, who noticed the drainage pipe from the boiler and condensate pipe was clogged. So cleared these out, which should have been done during the yearly service. January, it goes again. This time, one of the 2 valves in the airing cupboard broke (the one providing hot water from the boiler). Again, messaged the landlord and was fixed. New issue started Tuesday. Boiler started firing up outside of the times we had it set to run, which was weird. Walking past the airing cupboard, could here the pump running. No heating or hot water being provided, so weird why it was running. This time, we've got 2 heaters ourselves as we've had issues (one in the living room, one which we use between the office and bedroom). The airing cupboard itself had a weird smell, sort of a cross between damp, burning and stale cigarette smoke. Messaged the landlord again, said about the issue. He popped over, caught the smell and wasn't sure what it was. Messaged the engineer, still waiting for him to come out. In the meantime, it was worrying me a lot so i called a friend whose a boiler engineer and went through some things. Even he said the pump seems on the way out, and will need changing and the electrics checked. It's all been switched off as i don't fancy waking up to a burst pump. So, yay. Cold nights and outside some electric heaters, no boiler for heat.
  16. Social Media

Facebook for me is a way i keep in contact with some friends. I don't actively post much these days, maybe a tag on an activity i'm doing or post some pictures. But, i don't really go on a lot compared to a couple of years ago. I feel better for it overall. It does help that i block/unfollow people who bring the mood down. Twitter, i can't remember the last time i posted anything on that platform (i tell a lie, last actual tweet was in December. It's mostly retweets since). I mostly use it for keeping up to date with the latest gaming news, any breaking news going on in the world or reading live tweets of a show as it's airing. Quite a few comments are toxic, most recently comments made about the late Captain Sir Tom Moore. Some of them comments were vile to say the least. Instagram, it's linked to Facebook so i tend to post pictures/videos through this avenue which go onto Facebook. Don't really browse it much. Reddit's not bad, if you follow the right channels and avoid the wrong ones. Otherwise you'll get something that really isn't to taste. Something more toxic than Twitter and Facebook combined, and stuff heading down the 4chan route. Mostly keep YouTube around for entertainment, i follow a few cookery channels and tend to do my fitness from videos posted on this. So it's helping me in a positive way, one of the few platforms that do if i'm honest. Social media when used right is a great tool to keep in contact with friends/family. When used wrong, it's one of the worst platforms which brings out the worst in people.
  17. Playstation Plus Free Games

Good selection of games for PS+ this month. Kind of a kick in the teeth slightly for those who bought Control Ultimate Edition in the recent sale. There are calls for Sony to issue refunds for those who bought it, seeing as it's technically a pre-order as it's not out for 5 or so days yet (PS5 version). Never know, could be a Man-eater situation where those who bought it get a refund (got a free PS5 upgrade for Man-eater myself as i owned the PS4 version) Concrete Genie is a great little game, colourful and beautiful all at the same time.
  18. What Do You Want From Nintendo In 2021?

I understand WiiU ports coming to Switch, the console itself only sold 13 million units and there's a lot of excellent software that only a small number of players experienced. So porting some games over to the Switch is easy money (plus 2020 being as it was, ports like Pikmin 3 was easy to get across), but they really ought to add some new stuff to the games. The Mario 3D Collection, as much as it's a good representation of classic Mario, i felt it lacked overall. We've got the anniversaries of some big franchises this year in the forms of Zelda, Metroid and Donkey Kong. I'd hopefully expect something similar to how they delivered Mario's 35th last year. I'd like them to add to the NSO gaming library with a new console or two, they're sitting on a gold mine of gaming history with the Gameboy, N64 and GameCube which as we know, can be ported to the Switch. Mario's 3D collection proves that. Releasing Animal Crossing around lockdown proved profitable, and Ring Fit certainly keeps selling.
  19. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

Console is next to me, have a cable plugged into the USB C port for charging when i need to. Might end up getting an official charging dock, seeing how i now own 2 PS5 controllers (the 1st being repaired, the 2nd i have now)
  20. Last of Us Part II

Finished over the weekend, might have taken me 6 months. But, that's my habit. Start playing games, put them down and come back months later
  21. bad stuff thread.

Boiler broke yesterday, which is perfect timing for the cold spell we're having. 2nd time it's broke in a month, first time was December some point overnight. Woke to no power, so played around with some switches to find it was the boiler then. Had it fixed, worked again until yesterday. Luckily we've got an immersion tank for hot water, and we've got some heaters the landlord dropped round (give him credit where it's due here). He's sorting a new boiler out for next week hopefully.
  22. Job woes/wins

Working my first Sunday shift in 9 years today. My place got strict on people doing them whilst working at home. They've said during this pandemic that WFH would be treated like working in the office, so shifts and working patterns remain the same. Including alternative ones, which mine fits into. Basically, until we move to the new building we're still based in the older one, meaning i can't get to it for the start time of 8am. So put in an alternative pattern request, so i would not work a Sunday but work the rota'd day off as if it was a Sunday, in this case would be either a Tuesday or Saturday. They decided to scrap these alternative patterns and not tell those affected, so cue some quite rude phonecalls from management asking why you're not working when you're rota says otherwise. Going through setting an alternative pattern again, but when we get to the new building it won't be needed as business hours change to accommodate people more, meaning everyone should be able to work any day of the week.
  23. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

So, had my first big issue with the PS5 today. The right triggers have completely packed in. As you can see, the trigger has a gap which when looking at the left trigger behind shouldn't exist. Was playing Valhalla, and it went. Have a spare controller luckily, have sorted a repair on this controller.
  24. Picked this up with a PSN giftcard i got for Christmas. Absolutely loving it, far better than Odyssey (which for me, was getting boring and tedious with too much filler). Playing a mail Eivor over female, went female in Odyssey Went from a Skyrim-esq feeling of the first few hours to the lush, green world of the Last Kingdom. Raids are great too. Still early on, but can see this one getting finished. And because it's Christmas, there's the Yule festival going on as well.
  25. Cyberpunk 2077 (10th December 2020)

Think i'll wait until more of these bugs and issues have been ironed out before picking it up, i've got a few games to get through at the moment. And with Christmas coming up, probably will have a few more added to the pile
