  1. Yes. That one was good enough, the problem is the better image quality is with a RGB cable that "lacks" that option.

Thus if you wanted "easy" Dolbi Pro Logic IIx (7.1) out of the box, like rogue squadron III you had to settle for the worser image quality of the standard cable.

Yeah my TV has no audio out and I wanted both RGB and DPLII from my Gamecube so I solved that problem with one of these:

Not that exact model (my one doesn’t have S-VHS) but you get the idea.

Basically you plug your RGB cable into it and a couple of composite cables that go to your AV Receiver, then put the scart block in your TV. You get all the picture benefits of RGB and the sound is sent to your AV Receiver with no quality loss whatsoever!

Perfect solution for TV's without audio out. :awesome:

  2. red shell how do u make those funky backgrounds like that luigi one?

i use photoshop cs by the way

RedShell, I was wondering what font you used for the writing in my signature? Also, could you give me some tips on brushing/effects for signatures?...As I have only had photoshop for a few months and would like to learn more. I would be very greatful if you do.
I made that background just using the different types of airbrush, I'm using v.7 so I imagine there are loads more brushes in the more recent versions.

The font on your sig Minihobbsch is the Animal Crossing one, it's called FinkHeavy as far as I can remember. As for tips well, the most important thing I think is to make good use of the layers. Try to keep as much as possible on separate layers so you can gradually build up an image that way, rather than keeping it all on one layer.

Other than that it's just a matter of practice I guess. I'm self-taught on Photoshop so I don't really know the program enough to offer much in the way of tips. :hmm:

You can check out this thread for tutorials though:

Ended up being quite dark (just how I like my Zelda) so maybe it's not your cup of tea, seeing as you wanted Tingle in it. :heh:

Had to use a different image source, as I couldn't work out the edges to make it transparent from your image.

Could i request a nice world of warcraft one please, although id like it to be more personalised, could i send screenies to whoever wanted to make one for me. Thankyou in advance :)
E3wannabe post those images up (or links to them if they're too big) so that people will have something to work with, don't forget to mention if there's any text you want on it.

  4. Well the console isn't going to be released in October now, definately. I'm not gearing myself up for that now.

It will be released after the PS3, in Europe espicially.

Nah I don't think so. Just because they didn't reveal the date today doesn't mean it won't be released soon, it's just that we will probably find out very close to the actual launch date.

Sorry, we dropped out for a minute there. You didn't miss anything terribly exciting - they basically ran through the demo of Zelda DS from GDC last March, showing off stuff like drawing a squiggly line on the ocean to direct a boat, drawing an hourglass to open a door, slashing stuff in a top-down dungeon, and so on.

    Poo.
