  1. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

Oh right, I see what you're saying now. For some bizarre reason I thought the Pokéwalker battles were real time, not turn based like in the main game. Silly me.
  2. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

I'm a couple of hours in now, just done the first gym. Been messing with the Pokéwalker some more too. One thing I still can't seem to get the hang of on that though is how to doge in a battle, what kind of timing do you need? I've tried early, late, at the same time as the wild Pokémon attacks, but can't pull it off. Also, anyone know if it's possible to find shiny Pokémon via the Pokéwalker?

Wow. If there are any shoot 'em up fans that haven't picked BW up, don't hesitate in getting a copy! Fiver for it is an absolute steal! Especially as it's practically non existent in the shops.
  4. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

Got my copy, complete with a very plasticy smelling Pokémon figurine. So far so good, loving the little touches they've got going on in this version, like the water sounds when you're close to the sea/river. Pokéwalker is nice too, I'm already in love with its retro GB charm. So yeah, I'm now lugging 2 Nintendo pedometers around. Actually, it'll be interesting to compare the step count of the Pokéwalker to that of the Activity Meter. See how synchronised the results are.
  5. Indeed it is. :)

Pokémon is exempt from my feelings toward the RPG genre though, because it's just so easy to get into. That, plus I really love the whole vibe / humour of it.

The Pokéwalker is pretty cool, the retro GB style visuals and SFX on it are sweet.

Part of it can be seen in this vid:
  7. 3DS eShop Thread

I'll be getting it tomorrow probably, just need to get some points. I reckon it'll be pretty shallow gameplay wise, but it is just 200 points and looks bloody funny. Anyway, will keep you posted... *EDIT* Here you go: http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26847

Just been watching the BAFTA Video Game Awards, anyone else see it? Miyamoto's acceptance speech was epic, that has to be the longest he's ever spoken in English before. I also love how he almost sent Ant & Dec flying at one point! What an absolute legend that man is. Shame it was only broadcast online. For those that missed it, highlights are going to be available tomorrow at the BAFTA site: http://www.bafta.org/awards/video-games/ I'm sure stuff will be on YouTube before then though.

  10. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

I finished my 5th and final (for a while at least) journey through Silent Hill last night. Have now seen all endings, including the...
  11. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

I'm guessing it's the same as the Activity Meters and Walk With Me, in which case it'll use infrared.
  12. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Yeah, I watched it for the first (and last ) time yesterday and thought it was terrible. Would've been seriously disappointed if I'd gone to see it at the cinema. Anyway, back to Shattered Memories. I'm about half way through my 4th play now...
  13. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

For those in the UK, the Silent Hill film is on Channel 4 tonight at 11.
  14. NBA Jam!!

BOOMSHAKALAKA! Full trailer will be online soon!
  15. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Finished my first play-through last night, with a time of just under 8 hours. I don't see how anyone can complete it quicker than that on their first go, unless they're missing out on loads of the little details / exploration elements. Maybe those people were too scared to take it slow and "enjoy" the surroundings. But yeah, there's no doubt the game can be finished quickly if you want, I started and completed my second run today in a couple of hours! Got a different ending too. Gonna start my third tomorrow, want to do multiple plays while everything is still fresh in my memory, to be able to spot the differences easier.

Me too! MK Wii 2 complete with DLC/Track Editor would be sooo awesome though.
  17. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

  18. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Ended up playing this until around 1:30 last night/this morning Absolutely amazing! The atmosphere in this game is through the roof! And the adrenaline rush you get during the nightmare parts is immense.
  19. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Despite the best efforts of Konami, GAME, Zavvi, Royal Mail, etc... to stop me getting this, my copy finally showed up today. Just had a quick go to see what it's like, going to save playing it properly until later on tonight though. The visuals are really good, especially the texture detail, which is stunning! I love how it's possible to clearly read the various posters/signs that in most games would just become a blurred mess upon closer inspection. But the fine detail in this is fantastic. Can't wait to get into it.
  20. Your favourite levels/sections so far

Have had great moments in so many of my Wii games, but if I go through them all I'll be here forever. So I'll just add a game that otherwise might not make it into this thread... Wii Music. Yep, the title that so many love to hate, but for those that it clicks with, there are some absolutely amazing experiences to be had. I've clocked well over 80 hours on it and have loved every second. If you put the effort in then it's one of the most rewarding games out there. So much fun to play but also the feeling of satisfaction you get from a creating your own music videos is incredible. And unlike the simon says nature of conventional music games, you truly feel like a musician while playing Wii Music. Bonus favourite moment: Mario Kart Wii. This was and still is hilarious:
  21. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Just been checking out the soundtrack on YouTube, some interesting stuff in it, especially this: Does part of that Synth riff sound familiar to anyone else? :
  22. Thanks for the heads up.

Have already been enjoying that art.

And yeah, a WarioWare: D.I.Y. sig is on the way too. ;)

  23. 3DS eShop Thread

I was just looking at the Japanese DSi Ware list to find this game, and I couldn't believe just how many titles are available! Check it out: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsiware/titlelist.html They've got a crazy amount of games/apps compared to us (over 100 more I reckon), why are Nintendo being so damn stingy with the DSi Ware, when there's clearly so much to choose from!?
  24. DS/DSi General Discussion

Whoa! That looks pretty rad. :awesome: It's out next week in Japan for 500 Nintendo Points: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsiware/krgj/index.html Hopefully it'll make it to our DSi Shop soon.
