I'm getting too many disconnects for my liking. I see it's a topic of discussion on other forums. Maybe the servers are being stretched as more and more people play it.

From the brief description on Nintendo's website. http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/_HvDpYyz5qD2kAKuSCj62VmKyYV3RKP1 The biggest focus of this game is online. What's the point of buying an exclusive if you just send it out to die? Nintendo have advertised mature titles in the past. It's supposed to be out in a couple of months and has had very little exposure.

I was thinking about Splatoon and how Nintendo advertised this game and not others like Bayonetta 2 or The Wonderful 101. I bet Devils Third doesn't get any advertising nor have I seen any ads for Yoshi's Woolly World released today. Could it have anything to do with the NX? I know it's a new franchise and Nintendo want to get it established but look at when it released. It released right before E3, it released before it was fully ready but Nintendo may be using it as an example to get support for the NX. Its sales certainly wouldn't hurt its chances. I mean like they really pushed Splatoon. Other games got absolutely zero support or advertising. Sales of 1 million in less than a month, a new ip that came from nowhere showing that with the right leverage third party games could have similar succes on the NX. You know Nintendo had to have been trying to do deals behind the scenes at E3 and I bet Splatoon was mentioned. If they went into E3 using sales of Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, MP10, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker or Mario vs Donkey: Tipping Stars as examples of great success, it wouldn't impress 3rd parties. But Splatoon does and you need a showpiece to sell your wares. Splatoon's advertising has been a blip on what otherwise is a flatline this year.

I think analogue triggers will be back next generation. I've said it before but if Nintendo don't publicly disclose the specs by launch you can be sure it's a weak system. They did that with the Wii and Wii U. I won't believe a word they say, I'll rely on Nintendo websites for information and Digital Foundry to tell the truth. There'll be no Wii branding anywhere near its name. It's toxic. The DS brand too could die.

So as some of ye may know I wanted the blue Yarn Yoshi. Well they're gone everywhere. There was only a limited number left for retail this morning and they were all gone in an hour. Now the only alternative is Ebay and looking there it's anything from €40-55 with delivery. It's the day of their release. Is there no end to this supply issue? The people on Ebay clearly love them so much they're willing to sell them on day one for 3 times the asking price.

@RedShell Love the new N-Europe banner.

That was another notable quote. I'm still laughing at question 9. Shareholder: Sunrise, Sunset, Sunrise, Sunset, (sings faster) Cats and the cradle and the silver spoon. Yes, Nintendo has no bread. (starts sobbing) Iwata: Please understand! Shareholder: No, it's not that, they have no bread. (runs away crying)

No sexual innuendo in that name whatsoever. :p

Had the silly thought of buying the blue Yoshi when I'm collecting my Yoshi&amiibo bundle later. Then thinking if I buy them 2 then I may as well buy the pink 1 and complete the set. But then thinking about it logically, why would I do that? And that's €100. They do very little and I could buy another game with that money instead. Far more practical. I have the green Yoshi but would prefer the blue Yoshi. I'm not going to open the green Yoshi. It's bad enough buying one and supporting the scam. Smyths have taken the money out of my account. But if I don't collect it in 2 days will they refund me? Should I support any amiibo? No, probably not but the Yarn Yoshi is cute. Then there's the cancelled thegamecollection order that was supposed to be refunded but never was and may actually arrive in the post today though they said it wouldn't. Should I just play the game and forget about Yarn Yoshi? So many questions. I might ring Smyths later. God, I hate amiibo. And yet here I am fretting over a piece of wool with an NFC chip shoved in its butt. If the game arrives, I could get the blue Yoshi separately but then I won't be here to know if it arrives. And there's no guarantee of getting a blue Yoshi and I'd have to be in the store first thing. F### this! Now I check my bank account and thegamecollection have refunded me just there so is anything arriving? It's a mess. Right, I guess I am going to Smyths so. Or I could wait until tomorrow, see what arrives in todays post but then the blue Yoshi's will definitely be gone. But I want to play the game today. What if the game arrives on Monday?

A Mario Kart Maker would definitely be possible but Zelda and Metroid they're a lot harder. Would they be 2D or 3D? They can be story driven, Zelda more so, what about bosses? They're more important in said games. A level in Mario takes a minute, maybe 2 or 3. How would you set up Metroid or Zelda? Just a section? A full game? Mario Kart could be done in 3D, the other 2 would have to be done in 2D. It's too complicated otherwise.

http://gonintendo.com/stories/237093-nintendo-details-why-some-of-their-games-get-voice-chat-while-oth http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/nintendo-shares-why-some-games-get-voice-chat-while-others-dont/ See now. It's stuff like this that I cannot and will not let pass. It's complete BS. Does anybody use those awful text blurbs on the d pad? You cannot tell very often at times if your teammate is in trouble by looking at the map. Countless times after respawning I've used a super jump to their location just as they die only to be blown apart on landing as well. Looking at the map while in the game is very distracting. It's awful PR, sorry but she's talking absolute b0110cks and Splatoon is probably the game that needs it more than any other Nintendo title. Edit: And did I miss the 'oh, stay here’ icon? At least know what you're talking about lady.

KIDS REACT TO MARIO VS MINECRAFT Tis funny. Breaking news from Nintendo's AGM. I'll keep updating it as it happens for as long as I'm awake. http://nintendoeverything.com/details-from-nintendos-75th-annual-general-meeting-of-shareholders/ https://mobile.twitter.com/Cheesemeister3k O.K. Who was it that let the crazy [email protected]@rd in the room for question 9? Nintendo bread? Get out! There's only so many questions allowed be asked and you've wasted 1 of them. There's your consumable characters or maybe Nintendo are toast. That question reminded me of last years AGM and the shareholder who didn't understand video games and why shareholders were asking Nintendo questions about them, so I went looking for it and found an article with other stupid questions from previous AGM's. I hope that wasn't the same shareholder. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/07/weirdness_the_peculiar_questions_of_a_typical_nintendo_agm

This game is getting better and better. I was highly skeptical of it when it was first shown but it has slowly convinced and won me over. I will definitely be buying this now. 80% sure it'll be on day 1. I just wish there were more great games.

Nintendo & DeNA Business Agreement - Nintendo on Smartphones
Wii replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
http://nintendoeverything.com/reggie-nintendos-mobile-games-can-offer-a-positive-experience-drive-people-back-to-core-systems/ Nintendo hasn't changed its take on the nature of smartphone games, despite DeNA deal -
Smyths have the amiibo bundle for €70. The pre order just went live yesterday but that's too pricey and as others have said September is rather away in the distance. €60 is the norm and it's what I'm paying for the Yoshi bundle tomorrow. They're nicer amiibo, more expensive than the usual amiibo and the Super Mario Maker amiibos are rather fugly.
