I figured it out. It's 8 cities because it's a reference to the 8 bit NES. That's why NES Remix is included in the Nintendo "World" American Championships as well. It's so obvious, how did we miss the double entendre? Brilliant marketing.

Should be renamed Nintendo American Championships. Unless some of these abbreviations stand for CAnada, FinLand, IceLand, NorwaY and Wales. Don't think there's a TuXembourg or a TeXico.

I'm surprised another Gamecube HD Remake hasn't been announced already. The Wind Waker HD sold more than 1 million copies over a year ago and as you say it's easy money. They have to be at work on another. I too hope Twilight Princess isn't being remade for the 3DS. If Nintendo announce TP as a HD Remake I wouldn't be shocked. Plug the gaps, schedule gap and Zelda gap. Coming out at the end of August, pure guess.

No you can't use the gamepad as a controller. When you play Wii games it switches over to Wii mode. It hasn't a clue about the gamepad. The only thing the gamepad can do is view the game and use the sensor bar on it for the other controllers if you selected the option when prompted.

No red card for former England captain John Terry? Ah Cesc if only you played for England. It's how Shrek Rooney escapes all his as well.

I don't believe that for a second. It was so bad Nintendo later apologised for it.

They were never going to be critical publicly unless they wanted to collect their P45.

I don't believe that for a second.

See I think the hat is pants. As bad as the Mario hat.

Lucky Americans get a free squirt gun when they buy the game at Target. Now that's a proper bonus.

All Customization Male & Female In Avatar Maker: Xenoblade Chronicles X (1080p60) I think the editor is great and can't wait to experiment with it.

There may have been a bit of confusion about just getting 3rd parties to do that sort of content. I agree with your statement there. Basically, they need Western studios so that they can better cater to our needs and wants.
-
I didn't say they were. My point is those games were great and they were developed by Japanese studios and funded and published by Nintendo. Some met with more success than others. Now if Nintendo were to buy or fund Western studios then its possible that the games would have greater success this side of the world.

Swords & Soldiers II (Ronimo Games) - €18.99/£16.99 Sharpen your beard and groom your Axe! The 2D strategy hit is back, exclusively for Wii U! The all-new Swords & Soldiers II is filled to the brim with gorgeous hand-animated artwork, endless replayability and heaps of good old fun! Command the rowdy Vikings, ingenious Persians and infernal Demons as you conquer the epic campaign or face off with your friends in local multiplayer! Join Chief Redbeard as he explores a beautiful new world and gets dragged into a globe-spanning evil plot involving a mysterious lamp, lots of roasted sheep and some delicious hot sauce. Every skirmish along the way will present a fresh challenge, so if you want to win this war you'll have to devise devious tactics using an ever-growing arsenal of powerful units and earth-shaking spells. Master the chill of the army-freezing Snowstorm, the dread of the skeleton-raising Crypt and the surprise of the invisible Desert Stalker to rule the world, in Swords & Soldiers II! Anybody else think this game is going to bomb hard? Crazy price and the bite sized videos I've seen so far are dull as dishwater.

Of course they should. There's gold in them thar hills. Look at Fatal Frame, look at The Last Story, look at Xenoblade, look at Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies, look at Zangeki no REGINLEIV, look at Trauma Center(various games), look at Pandora's Tower, look at Disaster: Day of Crisis. They're just from the Wii. Not your typical colourful Nintendo games. There are others but the case may not be as clear cut. Would anybody argue that the console would have been better off without them? They're all published and funded by Nintendo. Where were all those studios from? Now someone care to make a list of Western developed Nintendo published and funded games please? It shouldn't take too long.
