That would be a good idea.

Noticed yesterday there was something weird with the icons when I pressed the home button on the gamepad. Couldn't quite place it but now I see the TVii icon is gone. I must have missed that discussion during the last 2 weeks and obviously my Wii U couldn't update with no online. I was only thinking about the 2 gamepads on 1 Wii U. That'll most likely never happen either. I see now my gamepad screen has light little circular scratches right across the bottom half. It's from typing on the browser keyboard. B0110x! Which is another thing. You can't buy replacement gamepads. The Wii U only has 2 colours(black and white). I think you'll have to go back to the SNES to find such a limited palette of colour options.

The Wii U with the gamepad had great potential for a Metroid game. We won't see a Metroid game on Wii U now. Yesterday was just the confirmation. It would take too much time, money and effort and would not be profitable. It's smaller, easier games from here on out as demonstrated by the 2 games announced yesterday. When was the last big budget game announced? If roles were reversed with Zelda, the same decision would be made.

Will you need to own all 8 to play the full game? That's potentially €120 at the very least. This is partially why I don't like amiibo. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Except this isn't a rose and it certainly doesn't smell sweet. And the amiibo here are more important than the game.

There's 2 new weapons. Those girls announce them when you load up the game. Can't remember what they're called. Sure I'm still using the weapon I started with. Haven't bought any weapons, though I have bought headgear, clothes and shoes. I don't want to lose the shield bubble.

Level 10. Just made it there myself.

I can't believe you posted that. I seen it earlier and said NO! Is this a reactionary video from Nintendo to the negative backlash?

It's possible Platinum misunderstood when they were told to make Starfox furry. They made the graphics furry instead of the characters.

Nintendo initially considered Monolith Soft to develop Star Fox Zero. “We didn’t really look around at that many different places. Our first instinct was to try and find an appropriate team within Nintendo. One place we kind of considered was Monolith Soft.” “But it kind of came down to to there wasn’t really a place we wanted to work with other than Platinum just because they are so committed to creating exciting visuals. We kind of really wanted to improve the visual quality of the game.” - Shigeru Miyamoto

I agree. Playing Splatoon last night and looking at the map on the gamepad is not fluid or comfortable.

I paid €35 for it new a few months ago for a physical copy so paying the same price for a digital copy doesn't seem great. To each their own but the advantages of physical far exceed digital to me. Although I can't sell on or swap my DLC.

£28. Not a terrific price.

They made sure to show off plenty of amiibo yesterday. There was nearly 20 new amiibo. Who needs games from a video game company when you can get scalped buying toys instead? Glad they have their priorities right.

True. Both Yoshi and XCX were announced in January 2013. So 2 and 1/2 year wait for Yoshi and nearly 3 years for XCX. I'm fine with that, at least we knew they were coming. We've have nothing like that announced for Wii U in the future since then because there is nothing. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem could be in development nearly 4 years from its first announcement to its release here.

Didn't Nintendo expand their workforce? And yet we're facing into a similar situation as the Wii. [TWEET]610885268615225344[/TWEET] They keep saying that they're learning from their mistakes but they're like the boy who cried wolf at this stage. What lessons are they learning exactly?

Should have realised it was going to be bad when we seen the 3 muppets at the start. Some of it was admittedly funny though. The rest of the show was not. I look forward to this event all year and it was a horror show yesterday. I've said very little in this discussion but I'm hugely disappointed, dismayed, appalled. Strangely enough I'm not angry though I initially was(though it may return). It's almost like it's par for the course these days. Nintendo have major problems. Selling the NX to the competition console owners, 3rd parties, casuals and burnt Wii U owners is going to be a big ask. If the hardware isn't right I dread the decisions they'll potentially have to make if it fails. They control their own destiny(for now), they just have to make the correct choices.

Nintendo on Super Mario Maker: "Make your own game because we can't be bothered". It does look better than it initially did. The NWC footage looked great but was that enhanced because of the competitive element and the crowd getting involved? I don't know if I'll have the patience or skill to create these kind of levels. Remember for the Treehouse guys it's there job. Will it take an hour to create a level that can be finished in a minute? Will it just disappear into a blackhole like a post in Miiverse with just the very top getting noticed?

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (30th Oct)
Wii replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Probably because of the mature content. The same reason Devil's Third was shown in a separate trailer also last week. -
