  1. Finally found all shrines and I at long last went on to find Ganondorf yesterday.

    Spoiler

But I had to reload an earlier save because he only deals gloom damage, and I had zero sunny meals. Come on... That wasnt fair.

I got him to second form but I find it very hard to avoid (and flurry rush) his attacks.

Will try again tonight. Now with better preparation.

  2. We are slowly progressing the live action show. It feels very shallow and basic most of the time with some cringe worthy dialogue at times, which makes us laugh. The animation when flying is totally off, but the actual bending looks nice.

The world and story seem interesting, though.

I also wondered why the Fire Nation went to kill all airbenders. Wouldn't the Avatar just emerge as the next elemental type, if Aang was killed then?

  3. Ae, shit. A friend of my wife was diagnosed with cancer in the colon three years ago. She was treated and healed but suddenly it has reappeared. In the brain. There is no treatment, and she has about 6 to 10 months left. She's 37-38 and has two children, 6 and 3 years old. Life is really cruel.

I know her a little but she is mostly my wife's friend, but it's hard to see my wife so understandably sad. She's collecting stuff now to make a gift basket with all kinds of good stuff but there is really nothing you can give or do that numbs the pain, I guess.

  4. My son just played it, I watched while working on my computer (and helped him beat the demo's boss). The performance is... really rough when coming out from the level he played at least. Ouch, it was hard watching. Haven't seen how the actual gameplay in the level runs, though.

The sound is also quite... off. The jumping sound is terrible, sounds kind of flat, and is too loud... and the voices. Ugh. Not a fan.

  5. Watched the first episode the other day, and I have never seen the animated show (shame on me, I know). It was alright, seems a bit basic and kliché but had fun watching it. Animations seemed cheap at times, though.

And what's up with their clothes - why wasn't Aang freezing in the ice and Sokka sweating later? Hopefully they change into something more appropriate later on.

  6. SEGA admits that the game's launch was badly timed - the game sold less than expected, probably due to it launching at the same time as games in a similar genre.

    Quote

“Although Sonic Superstars has generally been well received by those who have played it, the timing of the
launch coincided with competing titles in the same genre, and it has been short of the initial forecast. The
strategic expansion of Sonic IP is progressing well, and we will continue to work to increase repeat sales of this
    title.”

  7. Yeah. That was a minimalistic reveal to say the least! I hope there's at least some nature in the game, otherwise catching Pokémon is going to be ... not so interesting - though I hope there's a live Gyarados in a fountains in the game.

Also.. the title. Z-A like end to beginning, or will there be a Z-B?

Not much to go by but I'm curious and I enjoyed Legends: Arceus very much (though it outstayed its welcome in the end).

Sounds unlucky. All the sets I’ve bought I’ve only had one piece that’s been missing (though in my case it had been a different piece put in). Luckily Lego are amazing at sending out replacement parts, which I’m sure you must know. Just let them know and they will send out any missing part.

Yup. I got the missing piece for Bowser but it took a few weeks. I had the same piece (but different colour) so just used that. I'm unsure if I have this piece lying around but I'll go look when I get the time.

  9. Found LEGO Sonic Green Hill Zone cheap today, 33 % discount, and bought it. Let my son build the Robotnik part, Robotnik himself seems a bit fragile but he had fun with it. Strangely, though, it seems that there is a piece missing. That also happened with Bowser.

But looking forward to building more of it. It looks fun and will be nice to have around.

  10. Alright, I definitely feel a bit in my deltoids and my hamstrings (I think the glute bridge did it, don't do many of those).

It seems that you can do the custom workouts without unlocking the moves first. That's great.

I think I'll try to get another session in tomorrow evening and see how it goes.

I was back on RingFit recently for a bit of variation in the old regime. Also left myself open when I should have held the ab guard for two attacks. I've had it on max difficulty level since the beginning and, for a game with a resistance ring, imo it gives you a decent enough going over if you put moves in your loadout that you find difficult. A fun alternative on a day you might not feel like doing anything else.

Yeah, I have not unlocked enough new moves to change the combination in the adventure-part yet. But yeah, will definitely change the moves.

  12. Got this in a bargain sale Tuesday and have tried it a couple of times now.

The difficulty set itself to about 25 for me which means I have to do 25 reps of each exercise. That's a bit harsh because it takes a lot of time for each encounter, but it's nice that half of them are static holds which then turns into 12 quick attacks.

Did the first boss battle Wednesday but lost as I wasn't expecting him to attack twice in one round and thus released the ab guard (which I don't feel at all) prematurely. Won the battle today, though, and then went on to do the next level.

Also tried a custom workout, went for glutes and trapezius at hardcore difficulty. Got average scores of 98/100 on both without straining myself (average pulse at about 90 bpm with a couple of spikes to 140). Totally about 40 minutes.

Overall it was an alright workout but I very much doubt I'll be able to feel it much tomorrow, and I don't feel like I need a bath (my wife might disagree). It was a good way to do something on a lazy Sunday night, though, but I prefer my usual go-to workout of 25 minutes of light rowing or 30 movements in 30 minutes. Next time I think I'll go through all custom workouts to see if that does something to me.

I'll also try to get my wife to try it out, but she isn't really motivated by gamification.

  13. A reveal of Switch 2 along with a price cut on Switch would be viable and may sustain Switch sales through the year but I struggle to see how they would release enough new games for old Switch gamers to be satisfied.

I have a backlog and would still buy some games even if Switch 2 was around the corner, though.

  14. Finally almost done mapping the underground, helping me find the remaining Shrines. So will finally soon be able to finish the game!

Or finish it... At least defeat the final boss. Have tried to find out which side adventures to focus on but there is just so much to do...

  15. Finally found me a proper barbell, a 15 kg one, for a decent price (about £45 used, but like new). I need some plated now but I can find those used as well if I'm lucky. I'm not in a hurry but it would be nice to get about 60 kg on the barbell.

I also recently got a treadmill. My wife wanted one for getting back into running after giving birth in August. Or January 2021, I don't think she has run since my second child was born. It's not the best in the market but it is good enough for us, I think. I've only tried it for finishers (1 km at about 16 km/h) after a workout and it worked fine.

So now all that's left is for me to have the energy to work out in the evening once all the children are asleep.
