  1. Don't panic, Hunters is the only Metroid game I haven't played. Come on! Give me more credit than that! Anyway, I don't really think Ridley could work really, his proportions would make him look ridiculous if minimised. Charizard works because it has pretty normal limbs. Well... normal for an Orange fire dragon at least. Actually, it's funny you brought this up. Someone did a mod for Project M. I'm not sure about "KICKASS"... It just looks incredibly awkward to me. Oof! Right in the nostalgia! Even they know N64 Banjo is the way to go. (I still haven't voted yet, by the way)
  2. Pfft! That was a good laugh. That corner has to be taken very specifically when you inward drift, otherwise you have no hope. I can't see myself pulling it off reliably in 200cc though...
  3. *Looks back at my previous post* Nope. It still bugs me, especially knowing that the 3DS is most certainly capable of better models. Plus, I found the WiiWare version a bit repetitve.
  4. That's what happens when people feel the need to blitz through a game. Oh, and thanks for the assistance, a bit late, I know. I've got a Wystone now, so I should be a bit more helpful! When I'm not online, I do 2 or 3 hunts a day on average. Then I play something else. I also do every quest before moving on to the next rank. Why rush things? When I am online, I do a lot more, because I don't always have access. Gotta capitalise on it! I'm almost done all the HR5 quests and I'm on Caravan 9. Gotta fight Frenzied Deviljho next. I am very concerned, the thing was scary enough without the added speed and Status Effect...
  5. Oh, so it's even worse than when I lived there for 3 years? Bloody hell. That's bordering on apocalyptic!
  6. You know, I was so tempted to add "You need to be more acute" to my last post. Luckily, I didn't need to.
  7. Too early to say anything about 200cc, but I'm happy with the amount of Frantic Mode there, just enough so it doesn't get stale.
  8. I'm not letting that one slide, @Fused King. Since when is someone not allowed to like a game? I can understand if you don't like it, but that doesn't mean I can't. That just comes off as obtuse.
  9. What? Not Xtra-Vision? That chain is an utter joke when it comes to games.
  10. Well, that makes my choice a bit easier then. Still can't decide between Dillon and Wart though. Wart has the sheer obscurity while Dillon sports the fresh Ninty IP.
  11. Nope, getting rid of that was the best decision ever. No guarantees that 1st place will stay there throughout the whole race.
  12. Hard to say, the first one is easier to get into, but the sequel is more fleshed out, more varied. I'd go with the second one. It's far more polished. Fair warning, if tower defense games makes you wretch, steer clear. It's not for you. It is more action-based, with Dillon (you) being the main force. It also gets very difficult later on. But if you like challenging games, it's got it in spades.
  13. Got it in 2! The more I think about, the more great a fit Dillon seems for Smash. And before someone tries the "But he's basically Sonic" argument, he does a lot more than roll places quickly. Anyone who has played the games would know that. (Plus, I always thought that the partners he got in the sequel would have made great Assist Trophies, but oh well...)
  14. But... But I like all 3 of those games... You, sir, are a meanie doo doo head!
  15. This is exactly what I'm thinking. It seems like such a strange thing to charge for. We'll have to wait and see. Will buy the 2 new games for sure though. I love the streetpass games. Mansion was sublime!
  16. Yes, Metroid does need more reps, but apart from "he who is far too big and awkward", there are very little along the lines of memorable characters. I never played Hunters, but every single character that isn't Samus looks kinda forgettable. I want this to be an opportunity for a Ninty series that doesn't have a rep in Smash. Something that started this generation. Something that boasts some fantastic character designs. *Winky face* You know what I mean. (You all know who I'm thinking of, don't try and be clever about it)
  17. I suppose if it was uber-cheap, curiosity would win over at some point. But @Dcubed is getting the WiiU version, so I'll just try that. If I like it enough, I'll buy it full price. If not, then no sale will make me buy it, simple as.
  18. I appreciate the effort, but I don't own a PC. (Yes, I know. It's unbelievable. But true)
  19. Because my inner 8-year old self weally weally wants it to happen. He wants it to happen so bad, he's willing to clean his entire room to make it happen. (Oh yeah, that much) Sure, there's all sorts of bad history now. But the N64 was my first home console. Those characters were my CHILDHOOD! And no matter how bleak a certain game might have been. It can't even make a dent in the home that humbly badass Bear and that Snarky yet lovable Bird have in my memories. And no amount of "Free advertising" or any sort of business face slapping is going to change that. Of course, I'm not even expecting it in the least, but I would unashamedly dance in the street if it did happen.
  20. High-five for not noticing Hz differences! I'm the same, which annoys @Dcubed to no end when I'm not as... Ahem... Emotionally driven as he is. He got in a right strop when I downloaded 50hz Super Metroid. He declared that me and me alone had "ruined the entire future of the Virtual Console" He even made me write a post on Miiverse apologising for buying it. Complete with black borders drawn around to get the 50hz effect. And after getting 12 stars on Mario 64, I've noticed no input lag. Maybe it's a TV thing?
  21. I understand where you're coming from. Let me try and use an example of some similarly priced games. I saw the trailers for Shovel Knight and the first Dillon's Rolling Western game and I just kinda knew I'd like them, y'know? They're both very different games, but I got the same kind of feeling. I look at Binding of Isaac, and I don't get the same kind of impression. That in no way makes it a bad game, of course. But after years of having to be very selective about games, I've learned to trust my instinct. It's 95% of the time, on the money. The last absolute stinker of a game I actually bought was Sonic Chronicles. (5 quid, second-hand, traded it back for a tenner, still felt ripped off) To put it in other words, in response to @Rummy Price is not the issue, what I've seen of the game is not enough to convince me to part with my limited funds. If I liked what I saw, I'd snap it up, regardless of price.
  22. It's not the first time. All 3 Donkey Kong Country games sport the Rare logo. What amazes me is that the Jetpac arcade game is fully intact there. How did that happen?
  23. Do not get me wrong, I would love Banjo to get in. (Provided that he's the N64 style Banjo, that Blocky Banjo looks uber-ugly) But it's so incredibly unlikely. Microsoft might want some money for it, which would kill any chances stone dead. So many issues that I can't think of right now would no doubt arise.
  24. If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
  25. Everybody's Super Sonic Racing! I wouldn't bet on it...
