Streetpass Arena on the other hand is great fun. The mind battles in that are insane!

Personally, I see it as cheating and am glad that it acts like a mark of shame on your virtual console menu if you use it. If I make a mistake, then I take that mistake without resorting to mulligans! Suspend saves are more than enough for me on virtual console games. You're just as bad, really. I played through Mega Man 2 for the first time on 3DS VC, still didn't use it, despite dying many, MANY times. You lose the sense of punishment a game gives if you can just press a button and go back. The sense of satisfaction you get from overcoming a difficult section of a game is immensely satisfying and you blunt that satisfaction by relying on restore points. I'm not gonna stop you from using it. That would just be pointless, but I maintain that you lose something from using them.

Stop being such a wuss! You wussy wuss wuss!

...Nope. Being as honest as my Wii Wheel usage in MK8 (100%, you numptys) there! Only way is forward, baby!

I started playing Super Mario 64. About a week ago, I completed it. The game holds up remarkably well. In fact it looks a little bit nicer thanks to being on WiiU VC. There's something about the way Mario runs around like a hamster that always makes me smile. The best thing about this game is the amount of opportunities to outright skip things. I'm sure everyone knows about how you can finish the game with far fewer stars than you actually need, but I'm talking about the more reasonable athletic achievements you can pull off. In fact, here's a few of those moments for you now.

I am not for one second claiming that Mario doesn't feel fun to control. And of course I appreciate the massive amount of work that went into making that happen. But there are some things that aren't as great. I already mentioned the flying and cannon controls, but Wall Jumping is also extremely finicky to pull off. Dorrie springs to mind as well, but that's just one small section. And I know it was their first proper 3D game, but the camera can be awkward at times. Luckily, that boss isn't difficult.

...What the hell is that?

No, I have to agree with @Serebii. I just finished it on the WiiU VC about a week ago. There were times when I felt like I messed up through no fault of my own. And don't even get me started on how much of a struggle it is to aim cannons and fly with the wing cap. I think the game is more than just decent though. It's still a lot of fun! But the controls are far from "Legendary" EDIT: Actually, it's quite rare for an N64 game's controls to age worse than it's graphics, isn't it? The visuals have a lovely little charm to it.

I'm telling you, it's the American accents that'll let this game down. What do you mean, "That doesn't apply in the Japanese version"!? It applies in everything!

Trousers can have zipped pockets as well, you know? But I take it there's no zips then? Fine, that's understandable.
-
Why's that? Do your pockets not have zips or something? Because that's the only reason I could think of to not do so.
-
Aren't these the same things? Ohhhhhhh! Sick burn!

Have to agree with Ronnie and others. It's really not that hard to bring your 3DS when you go outside. And if you think it is a hassle, then I have to wonder how you could possibly cope with basic daily life. It takes around 30 seconds at most for me to think "Have I got my XL?" find it charging like usual and shove it in my pocket. Just like my keys, my phone and my wallet.

I think this is a good point. If the Zelda DLC was anything to go by, there'll probably be an Animal Crossing Glider as well. Might as well use the whole set.

IT'S HAPPENING! "F-Mario Kart League: What do you mean, I have to brake!?" Edition is so damn close! Gonna have to relearn SO many tracks on Thursday...

Yep, @Rummy made that thread. If you look below the thread title, it says @Rummy. That proves @Rummy made it.

Don't worry about @Rummy, @Rummy has gone to the Zelda concert. Isn't that right, @Rummy? So you can put that @Rummy worry to @Rummy rest.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Online Meet Up Thread
Glen-i replied to Sprout's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Ah, nothing like a good fight! I can always count on @RedShell to provide moments that make those involved look like complete and utter twonks! Please tell me you got that moment when I somehow made you hit a passing building on Pilotwings. I can't believe that's an actual hazard. I got too excited and forgot to save the replay... But I did get loads of other replays. Including that Kirby VS Wii Fit Trainer match. And a thought occurs. When this patch comes out and @Sprout is able to get back online, perhaps we could send a few replays to him if he ever fancies doing another "Look at how awesome and incompetent N-Europe can be" video. Providing he ever wants to of course. -
In for a penny, in for a pound. Hey @Rummy, recently I turned on my 3DS. Just thought you should know. @Rummy

Actually, I thought it was quite clever. Lighten up!

Smash Bowser and Greninja is preordered. I'm not massively hardcore.

What is it with Irish people and their obsession with getting fuel for fires!? When I lived there for three years, it's all anyone bloody talked about! It was like I walked into the Twilight Zone or something.
-
OK, I think it's time someone took this thread back to Smash Bros. Yesterday, I beat Solo WiiU 9.0 for the first time! But I didn't just beat it... You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse I still can't believe I pulled that off! Yay for Customisations! Now I just have to beat it without losing a life... (On the plus side, you can tackle that one in co-op, meaning you don't have to fight Master Fortress) I've got 25 challenges left to go now.

Pshaw! It's cool. I didn't even mind. I wasn't lonely or anything... Well, I'm gonna give it another shot tonight at 8pm. Wanna get some hilarious replays back after Mewtwo made me delete all mine.
