  1. I basically said the same thing to him on voice chat when that happened!
  2. It's actually the opposite, despite releasing for MK8 DX first. Taken from the Mario Wiki about Squeaky Clean Sprint. Anyway, was just curious about your thoughts on it. We all have tracks we don't like, anyway. (Coconut Mall for me) Still, thankful you tolerate them, because it's fun racing you.
  3. I'm not sure how the city based ones are much different from other one lap tracks, personally. Apart from Tokyo Blur and New York Minute, I think they range from good to excellent. I wonder, do you include the likes of Ninja Hideaway, Squeaky Clean Sprint, and Yoshi's Island when you say Tour tracks? Because they are tracks designed for Mario Kart Tour, and I think they're quite excellent, especially Yoshi's Island, which might be my favourite track in the whole game.
  4. This has a battle pass, because why wouldn't it? Seriously peeps, look this up (Don't actually download it, no-one deserves that). It's hilarious how completely awful it is. It just goes to show how much Konami don't care. Silent Hill used to be a bastion of horror games, and now... That's Silent Hill now.
  5. Wow, the Alien franchise has really gone off the rails, huh?
  6. Yeah, random has no risk of picking a prohibited character this time, so random is fine. It's likely because most reflections in games aren't true reflections. They're just another character model mimicking the original model. Probably easier to just not have Alucard show up. He does actually appear on Fountain of Dreams. He even has a reflection there. But this is actually accurate to how Vampires are depicted, it's only in mirrors where they have no reflection. The attention to detail this game has is always impressive. Anyway, new page. So I'll repost the theme.
  7. Right! Theme Time! Bit of a different tact, this one. Pinball Pandemonium Inspired by the online Tourney of the same name, tonight, items will be incredibly limited. And mostly quite round. Every character is allowed tonight. Did you know that some items and Assist Trophies flat out don't appear on certain stages? The Bumper is the main culprit of this, due to how it works. The general rule is that if the stage travels, the Bumper will never spawn there. Also, Alucard never appears on Wii Fit Studio, because Vampires don't have reflections. Yes, really, but that's not relevant to the theme. Stages are relatively small so that the Bumper will have more of an impact. Also, no travelling stages for the reason I stated above. The item frequency has been bumped up tonight, containers are there so more Bumpers can come into play. The Smash Ball is there because it's a floating ball. Chasing it should lead to Bumper related accidents, which is always funny. Format - Time, 3 minutes FS Meter - On See you at 8pm! 7:30 for Custom Stage nonsense.
  8. Nah, it's not as bad as two Wii tracks being there. Wii tracks aren't exactly the high point of Mario Kart. At least the Tour tracks are new to people who didn't wanna touch Tour. Also, there's technically three of them here.
  9. S.C.G couldn't quite pull off the miracle comeback on the last turn. Still, a far more entertaining duel this time. Unlike my one, where nothing happened for half the game!
  10. @S.C.G, you ready for your fight to the death with BowserBasher?
  11. Crossing my fingers for Battle Tower to be here in some form. It's sad that I have to pray for Battle Tower of all things, but here we are.
  12. That was you? Cheers! Saved my lead there! But no, that's Yoshi's Island. I'm talking about Yoshi Circuit. That tarmac track from Double Dash in the shape of Yoshi. That race was very good!
  13. The Yoshi Circuit race was a real highlight. Proper tight throughout, and it could've been anyone's race.
  14. Not any more!
  15. I don't think that was a very good demonstration of how Duel Mode works... BowserBasher and S.C.G's Duel tomorrow at 8pm.
  16. Bravely Default II songs are still not in the music player... Final Fantasy XVI songs are available now. Is it just me, or can I feel @Julius watching this thread like a hawk? First of all... It's got it's own dedicated section, instead of being in the "Square Enix Titles" folder. That's nice, feels more natural. And that folder is at 87 songs now, don't need another 11 making it more unwieldly. BTW, Theatrhythm has now got 505 different playable songs, which is absolutely bonkers! EDIT: Actually, it's 507. I just realised that, for some reason, "Hollow" from FF7R, and "Kiss Me Goodbye" from FF12 are also missing from the music player. Which makes me think BDII being absent from the music player isn't an accident... Anyway, FF XVI? More like "FF Choir Edition", am I right? Holy crap, "Ascension" is so good though! Easily the best song in this set! Other stand out songs for me are "Away", "To Sail Forbidden Seas", and "Find the Flame" "Titan Lost" is a genre shift so sharp, that I'd believe you if you told me it was a Final Fantasy XIV song that got lost and ended up in the wrong game. I dig it. "Hide, Hideaway" is a bit too chill for my liking. Granted, I've only heard these songs in the context of a rhythm game. Very solid pack to end on. But it's a pity they didn't add whoever that dude is as a party member. Feels weird for this game to get it's own folder, but be the only FF game to not have a character. Now give me a season of Pixel Remaster songs, more Bravely games, and Octopath Traveler II. Then it'll be perfect.
  17. And that's why it's the best Resi Evil game. Revelations being a distant second. And everything else sucks. So says a clear expert on the franchise.
  18. Now, I'm just spitballing here, but I'm betting it was because PlayStation kids in the 90's had to big it up in their mind, because Ninty kids had Mario 64 on launch, and well, it's no contest, really. Couple that with nostalgia goggles, and you've got a recipe for overrated games!
  19. Normally, I'd do a theme night, but I think we can all understand if I delay that a week. Player's Choice tonight at 8pm.
  20. For what it's worth, by the time I completed every level, I had more then enough purple coins to finish my collection. But I kept buying random standees at 10 coins a pop until then. Once I had done every level, then I bought the 30 coin ones. That said, if you are short, Yoshi and Nabbit get purple coins whenever they get items. Playing online also tends to have other players place standees on hidden blocks they've found, which tend to have a purple coin in them.
  21. Eh... Mount Wario does the concept better. Airship Fortress not being there is a damn shame.
  22. Oh god, not Rosalina's Ice World! The track itself is fine, it's the concept that annoys me. It makes no bloody sense! What has Rosalina got to do with ice!? This is why kids confuse her with Elsa from Frozen, you know!
  23. Just keep going, you'll get them eventually. That said, some levels have a secret exit that doesn't show up on the course screen. If there's a level that doesn't have a green check mark behind the stuff you've collected, then you're missing a secret exit. Also, spend purple coins on standees before they get over 999 coins. You can't hold more then that, so they'll just go to waste.
  24. Nice to get some vindication that others agree with me that @Dcubed is a dirty cheat. Why else would he pick Wario?
  25. Standard Stamina matches will start tonight at 8pm. However, a reminder for @S.C.G, @BowserBasher, and @RedShell. The Custom Stage session will start at 7:30 pm from now on. Once 8pm rolls around, I will give the usual "Changing Rules" shout-out, and then anyone who has chosen a custom stage, should switch to random on the standard stage screen.
