Innovation doesn't just have to come from control.Wasn't 100% serious there, (Dunno, in a snarky mood today) but this is a perfectly valid point.
I can understand Miyamoto's hesitation about VR though, we all know what happened last time they dipped their toe in that pool.
I should really get around to playing DCubed's Virtual Wario Land one day.

What on earth were you doing in shit?! :pMaybe he works with fertiliser?

What happened to Nintendo the innovators?!Everyone wouldn't stop whining at them to make a "traditional controller"?

Me too! Ready to see the inevitable situation when we get the same season for all three Animal Crossing tracks!

It is a crying shame that the VC version of Mario Party DS doesn't support multiplayer. It's definitely one of the best in the series. You know, provided you've got mates. It even supported single-card multiplayer, with no limitations (Other than loading screens so those without the game can play).
As for Mario Party 2... I always preferred 3, but it's better than 1.

Personally, my favourite setup is Medium Mii, Master Cycle, Wooden Wheels and the Gold Glider, but then again I'm the only person on N-Europe who actually prefers inside drifting, so naturally, I'm completely bonkers!
It really is a matter of preference though, because outside of time trials, focusing on speed is never the answer.

Got your rhythm back Glen? Good games manThanks! But it just goes to show good I am with an inward drifting bike. I love me some inward drift!
Normal hilarity will resume next week.
That said, I can only apologise to @BowserBasher what I did on the Cannon section on Cloudtop Cruise. I was panicking after wrong drifting and causing a bit of a pileup with a lucky Green shell and I heard a Daisy to my right and really wanted to maintain my winning streak.
Genuinely felt bad about it.
It will make a great highlight though. @RedShell, it happened on the second lap.

Screw inward drifting bikes and screw Daisy! That was a horrible night! On the flipside, I can't remember the last time I actually manage to whitewash a GP. Now I know how @Bullet Will feels.
The Rainbow Road race went so well for me, and to top it off, I crossed the finish line with the utmost of grace.
That Cloudtop Cruise final corner literally scared me to death though, it was so tight!

Those savage enemy encounters - do they come (in principle) from SMT or Persona (I have never played either series)? When should you fight them? They seem to OHKO each member of my team, each time I try them.Smoke Machines are your best friend.
I've only played SMT 4, and they're not in there. They might be in Persona, but I'll have to ask @Ugh first aid.
On the first chapter, you don't really have enough tricks in your repertoire to take on Savage enemies reliably.
Around chapter 3, when I had a lot more powerful attacks and mechanics to rely on, I was able to win most of them. (I still keep Smoke Machines handy)
Anyway, I'm on Chapter 5 now, I think I can see the start of the end, although I'm not certain.
Mamorin is easily the best character. Of course, that was obvious, she is an 11 year old girl, after all. So naturally, she's an impenetrable wall with a massive axe, a nice variety of moves to start sessions with and ridiculous healing capabilities! She'll warm your heart with a touch of a button!
Oh, and how she managed to make a cooking show all about Microwaves is beyond me. Genuinely hilarious character!

The pause menu and how it fills out over time. The game in general has a nice aesthetic.Wish they subbed the battles quotes.
Yeah, it's a shame about that, I kinda want to know what the hell they're babbling about. I noticed that some characters say different things depending on the costume they're wearing and I feel like I'm missing out a bit.
Also, I'm completely convinced that Itsuki is basically Marth. Sure he's not actually Marth, but he's totally Marth. I mean, I'm pretty sure he actually quotes his Smash lines now and again!
-
You mean, I have an opportunity to smash Daisy's face in multiple times?
I'm IN! for that!
Just gotta resist the urge to slam my Daisy face first into a wall... Not an easy task...
-
Just finished Chapter 3 myself. Loving the game, it's so stupid and Japanese, it puts a big smile on my face.
Chrom really got depressed and moody after not getting the Smash Bros gig, huh?
-
At least GAF are still delivering with the GIF's even if they are depressingly accurate...
EDIT: That said...
Question 2 makes me genuinely embarrassed.

New info next week ^_^"Seeing as the UK has exited Europe, we have decided to remove all Pokemon remotely based on animals that aren't native to the UK, starting with the immediate removal of all Pokemon who debuted in X/Y, because hey, France sucks! 'Pokemon Brexit' will therefore feature a grand total of 116 Pokemon, none of which are legendaries, and the cover will feature Luvdisc"
This is good news though. Looking forward to seeing what they've got in store.

I think I need to go home and play something ridiculously stupid to take the edge off of this disaster of a result...
Tokyo Mirage Sessions released at the perfect time...
-
I think I'm going to be sick...
The poor pound is getting meteor smashed into the abyss.
EDIT: Did Farage seriously just claim that Leave got a victory with "Not a single bullet was fired"?
I wouldn't mind watching him get the punch in the face he so desperately needs.

To the jerk who thought it'd be a good idea to use that Lightning Bolt on the final lap of DK Jungle, you're the reason why @Bullet Will got over 50 points on GP2.
Hope you're proud of yourself.
Great night though. I saw (and participated in) a lot of pileups which is always a good sign.
-
Wahey! I'm not the only one to use an actual Womble name for my Mii.
Well done @Phube! Me and you, we're hardcore Womblers!
-
Quick question/query for @BowserBasher. (Although @RedShell may be able to answer)
I'm assuming amiibo costumes are a no-no? Because it somehow doesn't seem right to me to not have the normal Mii costume.
-
I feel really stupid for not thinking of the Pegasus Boots. It's the only item from Link's Awakening that hasn't shown up in Hyrule Warriors.
Anyway, nice to see Marin's voice isn't as ear-piercing as Medli's. Plus Wind Fish attacks are always a plus.
Anyway, I finished everything about a month ago, but Monster Hunter might end up getting in the way of this DLC...
