OK, yeah. Late again. Go me. Anyway... Hope you had a great Birthday, you Sensual Cornish Graveyard, you.

A lot of the bosses in both games are forgettable, to be fair. Apart from the final bosses, I can only remember Mole Train and Robot Chicken from Returns. And Circus Walrus and Hammer Polar Bear from TF. Hammer Polar Bear was my favourite fight though, a whole different league compared to the others. I do really like the Nomads though. Nice enemy designs there. TF's final boss is a million times better than Returns though, on account of it not being an exercise in utter frustration.

Ew, line graphs... Call me back when someone does a pie chart.

Sorry, won't be able to make it this week. If @Dcubed can't make it either, someone else will have to host.

Yeah, I know I'm late, but I have to say that's a pretty amazing line-up. When my biggest complaint is that they chose the least good Donkey Kong Country, you know it's great. I suppose they could have chosen Chrono Trigger over Secret of Mana, but I think they wanted more multiplayer games.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
Glen-i replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
Yo, bet I'm the last bloke you expected to see here, huh? Yeah, I'm not a massive anime fan but @Ugh First Aid suggested to me an anime called Ghost Stories. It's a children's anime made in 2000. Basically a horror themed adventure show. Kinda like a Japanese Scooby-Doo. It bombed in Japan and was cancelled after 20 episodes. With good reason, it wasn't very good. So why am I here talking about it? Well, it gets more interesting 5 years later. You see, the company that owned it went bankrupt and decided to sell the dubbing rights to ADV. They asked if there were any restrictions to how they dub it but were told "Do whatever you want" The result is... well... Yep, they gag dub it. You could argue that this did the Anime Abridged series a whole year before Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged happened. And it's completely official. There's fourth wall breaking, incredibly inappropriate dialogue and a serious vendetta against the career of Christian Slater. My favourite Character was Momoko, in the original production, she's a shy girl, in the dub... She's a Bible Basher, because of course she is. As far as official dubs go, it's pretty unique. It takes a pretty bland anime and turns it into a very entertaining comedy. I recommend it for a good laugh. It's only 20 episodes and is consistently solid. -
OK, I'm in Festival Plaza now. Hit me up when you find me. EDIT: Bloody hell, you don't waste time! Enjoy your now-English named Golem.

Oh my god I can't believe you just wished me happy birthday!
Glen-i replied to Ashley's topic in General Chit Chat
Sure, you don't see me very often, but I'll be damned if I purposefully miss another Birthday. So, Happy Birthday, dude! -
Try here. You'll have to translate it, mind. It's not exactly clear which pack is which, but it should give you an idea of what's in there. I've been wondering about this app myself. How easy would you say it is to make a game with it? If you do make something, tell me. The RPG Player (which is absolutely free) app is a great little idea. So once this starts taking off, I might play a few.

Oooh, Meta Knightmare Returns on Kirby: Planet Robobot looks like it could be fun. Not to mention the Tetris: Grand Master "2-Players, 1-controller" race. Hey, the final game is EarthBound Glitchless. Awesome! Not a bad schedule this year.

Don't worry, I'm not here to post battle videos. (Yet) The next batch of Mega Stones are being distributed through Mystery Gift now. This time, you can get Sceptilite, Blazikenite and Swampertite, which were previously given to the April Tournament entrants. You'll also get Banettite and Cameruptite, which are new to Sun/Moon. The code to claim these is MATSUBUSA.

Wait, am I reading this right? People were annoyed that avatars could be bigger? You guys be crazy!

Damn it! So did I! It was far too tempting! I couldn't help myself. Naturally, I chose an appropriate villain. And I used my gaming family to fill out the rest of my party. @Ugh first aid filling out the stereotypical sexist healer role. And @Dcubed bringing his garbage cooking skills to the foray. This game is pure gold. I finished the demo, and it's very generous with how long it is. There seems to be a hell of a lot of customisation to it, which would make repeat playthroughs more fun. Also, the Ness Amiibo works, amazingly enough.

I hope I'm not overstepping the mark, but I tested out the awesome new calendar tool by adding the next Mario Kart League night into the community calendar. Complete with cover photo. I really like this feature, can see it being very useful for remembering future directs, etc.
-
Hey there, hope you don't mind, but I took the initiative of adding next week's theme on the nice shiny new calendar tool. Maybe it'll remind Nicktendo to join this time.
It's on the 29th. Right?
I'm right in saying that it's Player's Choice? Seeing as how it's the end of the month.
-
untilThe Mario Kart League continues with a Player's Choice night. Competitors are encouraged to bring their ideal setups to this true test of (mostly) skill. Visit the thread on the "Nintendo Gaming Board" for more details and declare yourself in if you haven't already.

Righto! Here are the results. GP1 GP2 GP3 Glen-i - 29 Punio - 24 Will - 21 The Mole - 20 Daz190uk - 18 Simon - 16 DCubed - 15 In case you're wondering, points in Renegade Roundup are based on what place you actually came in relation to everyone else. You are then given the amount of points you would have gotten if it was a race. So, for example, say I got the most points in one match, I would have gotten the same amount of points I would have gotten for coming first in a race tonight. I'm sure there's a better way of explaining it, but simply put, this is to keep the average score consistent with races. See you next week! EDIT: And I've just learnt that images get hilariously stretched if you're viewing this on mobile. Sorry, @Dcubed is gonna report that.
-
So, I take it you don't want your score counted this week then? Just calculating the scores on Battle mode, results will be up shortly.
-
Sorry for the delay, @Dcubed got 10 friend requests after the update. Room's open now.
-
@Dcubed will be in tonight as well.

YOU'VE RUINED MARIO KART NIGHT! Apart from that, it's looking swish. We might have to put the Mario Kart theme night stuff on this part of the board temporarily... EDIT: Ooooh. I didn't need to refresh to see updated posts. Guess it's much less likelyto be Ninja'd now.

The Pokken controller is wired. It's a pretty lengthy wire, mind. Wonder how much those go for now... That D-Pad is miles better than the Pro controller, on account that it, you know, actually works.

Quick! Someone spin it to make this seem like paid advertising!
