  1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

Who's up for some Smash at 9:30? It's stock matches this week.
  2. Tetris 99 -- Available Today

Reports going around that people are receiving their Gold Point winnings now. You guys should check your e-mails while I quietly cry in the corner because I couldn't win one game.
  3. N-Europe Video Game Club

Well, there we have it. StarFox Guard wins with 3 votes. I'll go ahead and make the thread.
  4. N-Europe Mario Kart League 2019

    Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @viceview51 @martinist @RedShell
  5. Well, I hope not, considering it flat out uses the Mario 3D World engine.
  6. Travelling to Japan

Pshh... Didn't even look for any reptilian ones... You specieist.
  7. Travelling to Japan

I'm sure @Dcubed has some things to say about Japan.
  8. Brexit - UK negotiates a deal

I think I'll need to upgrade my "Silly Escapist Game" from Hyrule Warriors to Tokyo Mirage Sessions for tonight's vote. To be honest, I'm a little scared.
  9. N-Europe Video Game Club

It's getting to that time when we should close the vote and make the thread. @nekunando, now's the time to vote. And if no-one's up to it, I can make the thread tomorrow.
  10. Destiny Connect

It's probably because the quirky RPG games typically don't sell very well. Earthbound in particular was a infamous flop, so game companies tend to steer away from that. Indie RPG's are much more likely to veer wildly from the fantasy setting.
  11. Brexit - UK negotiates a deal

Note to self: Make sure I'm playing something silly and fun when 7pm rolls around. I'll need all the light-hearted nonsense I can get.
  12. Destiny Connect

Sooooo. Earthbound? Because that's Earthbound. Or Undertale. That fits too.
  13. Pokémon fans are some of the most ridiculous nutjobs when it comes to fan creations.
  14. General Switch Discussion

Those two people who are holding out on buying a Switch until Mother 3 are my heroes. My poor, hopeful, deluded heroes.
  15. Michael Jackson

There's a well known quote about how the "death of the author" may be the only way art can be truly appreciated. Now it doesn't mean literal death, but how once a piece of art is out there in the public, the author or creator no longer owns it and it should be enjoyed or studied without the author's views clouding your judgment. Of course, this is incredibly subjective and there's arguments for and against taking this view. But generally, I'm for "Death of the Author" because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything as much as I tend to do. Even if Michael Jackson is guilty, I'm not going to let that change my view on his music. I like his songs, and say what you will, they are high quality artworks. Dragon Quest's composer may be a complete scumbag, but I'm not gonna skip Dragon Quest XI on Switch because of that. (And so on) Unfortunately, in this age of social media, outrage is far more likely to confine art to the depths of obscurity. And that's not how it should be handled.
  16. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I can normally get a hit in, but then the other 2 would completely muller me and before I knew it, I had 60% damage and then about 10 seconds later, I was dead. I died twice on that one stage. I haven't actually attempted it more than once, because I'm going through each character with one attempt, so I will go back and attempt some failures in the future.
  17. Fire Emblem: Three Houses (26th July 2019)

I think that's precisely the reason why I prefer that to the collector's edition art. After seeing Upside Down Claude, I won't settle for anything else.
  18. Nintendo Labo

I'm not drawing a movie poster for that...
  19. Nintendo Labo

Pretty sure the spinning wasn't shown when playing in First Person Mode on Mario Kart 7 and I don't see why that situation would be any different.
  20. Tetris 99 -- Available Today

That doesn't help me one bit...
  21. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

You're right, it was done through Miiverse for public sharing, but you could send stages, snapshots and replays directly to your friends within the game. If I have to bet money on it, I'd put it on it being done through the upcoming Smash Bros section on the Switch Online App. (Assuming Stage Builder is in)
  22. N-Europe Video Game Club

Those are some... Inspired choices! You're not gonna vote yourself @nekunando? I guess I'm voting for Game #2. (Which is also available on PS2, by the way)
  23. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Well, one massive step closer at least. I still want boss rush and have a hopeless dream of secret best side mode Smash Run coming back. But I (and a lot of the community centre kids) do miss that Great Smash Ball stage...
  24. No, but I had to nip that in the bud before people got too excited.
