  1. Hyrule Warriors

Look at my post before my last one. Everything I said still applies without the DLC. Just ignore the comments about the 2 new characters.
  2. Hyrule Warriors

Look at my last post, it's just a few scrolls upwards.
  3. Metroid Prime Trilogy

    My bad, fixed it now.
  4. Metroid Prime Trilogy

Right, so I'm sure most of you have downloaded this for the WiiU. If you haven't, you officially have no sense of bargain. Anyway, there is a way to get the Metroid Prime 3 online bonuses. 1. Go to the GameFAQ's saves, there's a file that has 0% progress in all 3 games but has 15 friendship tokens. You want to download that. 2. Start Metroid Prime Trilogy and make an initial save file (Wii Hardware/Wii Mode won't allow you to copy save files over to internal memory unless you have started the game at least once and have made that initial save file) 3. Move the Metroid Prime Trilogy file to your SD Card via the Wii Menu and then delete it from the SD Card afterwards (this is just to give you the right folder structure in place to copy files - you don't actually have to do this, but it makes things easier) 4. Put the SD Card into your computer, re-name the gamefaqs MPT save file "data.bin" and put in the following folder structure (Private/wii/title/R3MP) on your SD Card. 5. From the Wii Menu, copy the MPT save file from the SD Card over to your internal memory. 6. Load up Metroid Prime Trilogy and enjoy!
  5. Xenoblade Chronicles X (4th Dec)

Thunderbirds! I knew those faces reminded me of something! I'm with RedShell here, they are odd, but it's a kinda cool odd, y'know? Plus, they're American, you know the reputation they have with Plastic Surgery.
  6. Hyrule Warriors

I only had around 50,000 rupees when the DLC hit, here's my general ways of playing the game. Never quit mid-way through a mission, even if you die or fail. You get EXP and Rupees. But if you quit through the menu, you lose it all. EXP+ and Rupee+ skills are essential, if you have a weapon with them, transfer it to your best weapon! Material+, Slot+ and Star+ are also great for getting good weapons and making badges. Use the Apothecry! Two of the new potions help you get more Rupees and EXP. What I'm doing is using the Rupee potion to raise money to level up Itty-Bitty Link and Mr. Hyrule. Don't ignore the Network Links! As long as you can realistically beat it. Each one nets you 50,000 rupees just for finishing it, and the enemies tend to drop more Rupees and EXP. You also tend to get a sweet weapon as well. When I do a Network Link, I use the Weapon Slot 3 (I have gold materials to burn) potion so I have a chance at getting a much sought after Level 3, 5-star, 8-slot weapon. (Of course, you have to unlock those Level 3 weapons first) Now that you can delete skills, I can work towards having perfect weapons for me. Anyway, Itty-Bitty Link might have beaten Twili Midna as my new favourite character. You can convert 3 Special bars into a full magic meter and spam Fierce Deity Link! It's broken! BTW, 5 Y's and then press X, you can thank me later. (Assuming you've got the badges for the combos) Tingle is fantastic for crowd control, I've yet to figure the nuances of his special Balloon dodge though, definitely have to experiment more with him.
  7. Mario Kart League 2015

Fantastic start for me. I've still got it! I'm gonna go on Smash now, if anyone fancies punching me in the face.
  8. Hyrule Warriors

Tingle may be great, but Young Link is broken! Being able to convert the Special gauge to magic is hilariously awesome! Fierce Deity Link everything in sight! Gotten them both to Level 47 now. Didn't even need a new potion. I focused on getting a many slitted weapon from Network Links instead now that you can delete skills. Got a Level 3, 5 star 8 slot weapon for Tingle. Result! Only the best will do for Sexy Mr. Hyrule!
  9. Who fancies some Smash after Mario Kart tonight? I'm gonna open a room around 9pm. @Dcubed will probably be there as well.
  10. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Yeah, I did that with Greninja. I was so proud of myself. The WiiU version makes that look cake though... Right now, I'm trying to beat 8 characters on Cruel Smash with Lucina. Got to 5 yesterday. It's those damn Gunners! Also trying to do All-Star Hard with Duck Hunt Duo. I'm not very good with projectile based characters, so that's another one I'm struggling with. These challenges are gonna be the death of me...
  11. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

Song of healing? Well, that's my 7th theme I'm buying!
  12. Mario Kart League 2015

The group members are randomly chosen. Most of the high rankers from the previous year are in Group 2 this week. You lucked out.
  13. Mario Kart League 2015

I'll have to check if I have BowserBasher on my friends list or not tomorrow. Either way, Group 2 is definitely the most intimidating going by last year's results. Sorry guys!
  14. Xenoblade Chronicles X (4th Dec)

It is the same, just without dedicated healers like Sharla. Which worries me because Sharla was one of my most used characters...
  15. Your 2015 Gaming Diary

That's kinda harsh, I'm a really upbeat guy! I'm not saying FF8 is outright bad, but I can tell it's not going to knock 6 out of the park. In fact, I first played 6 when it was released on Wii VC. I think I was around 20 then. Also, I've only just started! Give me time to play it a bit more before you dismiss me as a grumpy old man. Who knows? I may grow to like the characters.
  16. Xenoblade Chronicles X (4th Dec)

I doubt the average play time will be that long. That was the final check, I'm sure they had to try loads of silly things to check for glitches. Things most people would never do on a first play through.
  17. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

I'm getting the feeling that the Majora's Mask XL is going to be more commonplace than the normal ones! Seriously, my blue XL is going to be a rarity at this rate!
  18. Your 2015 Gaming Diary

Oooooh. Those are mighty big words. The creepy thing is, I've started playing this as well. The only difference is I've never played it before. I wouldn't say I'm enjoying it as much as Hero-Of-Time is. The junction system is cool, but drawing is a right pain. And it's not a good sign when I don't want to use summons because they're agonisingly slow and unskippable. I also seem to be finding most of the characters very unlikable. Squall's a jerk, I can't take Scyther seriously because... Well, I spelt it that way on purpose, I really want to punch Zell in the face, Rinoa's introduction was better on Theatrhythm (That's an incredibly dumb reason to dance with someone!) and the only thing I've learned about Selphie is she likes trains. Quistis is bearable, but Laguna is the only character I actually like. The music is brilliant (Theatrhythm taught me that) and the cutscenes are very impressive. But it's not looking good for 8.
  19. Wii U General Discussion

DCubed has such an intricate setup, it's amazing. So naturally, when I come around, I plonk my WiiU right on the table in the middle of the room with a single wire travelling to a plug socket. And I always find that funny.
  20. 3DS Console Discussion

Hey guys! Who wants to talk about the Super Nintendo? But if we're talking about customisation. My current 3DS XL has a Kecleon Decal on it. I love that thing. Plan on doing the same to my New 3DS XL. I happen to think a good decal can make a console look pretty sleek.
  21. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

I've heard that the Gyorg fight has been made way more fun. I sure hope so, that fight is pretty bland compared to the other 3.
  22. Hyrule Warriors

Fantastic news! Thoroughly deserved. If anything, I hope this encourages Koei Tecmo to think about doing more DLC. The portable Zeldas need a bit more love. (Yes, I still want playable Ricky)
  23. Wii U General Discussion

Maybe cheap for the amount of storage you get, but I wouldn't say it was cheap.
  24. Stars Catalogue/Updates

Oh please, we both know you can't resist.

View post in Miiverse So yeah, Not finished Demon's Crest completely, but I saw "The End", so I'm putting it on the list. Anyway! I also finished another game for the first time over the weekend. Psst! It's The World Ends With You... Quite a few people would say that The World Ends With You is the best RPG on the DS. And I know I'm gonna get some flak for this, but I disagree. Don't get me wrong, it's great! But I can't put it as the best DS RPG. (Radiant Historia, in case you're wondering) But let's talk about what I like first. This game looks slick. I can't think of a better way to describe the visuals. I've always liked graffiti art, so it was safe to say that the style would appeal to me. Enough about graphics, least important part of a game to me. I'm gonna talk about the music. I bet you 5,000 yen he's listening to "Calling" Probably one of the most varied soundtracks I've heard in a game. Rap? Hip-Hop? Pop? Other genres I can't think of? There's a good chance you'll find it here. And all of it is very good listening. (Theatrhythm has 2 songs from it as DLC, just recently released, while I was playing through this... Creepy) I won't talk too much about the story, because it's very gripping, probably the best bit about the game. I have to say though, I didn't see the ending coming. So what's keeping this from knocking Radiant Historia off my favourite DS RPG throne? Well, it's a problem with the gameplay, specifically, the battle system. QUICK! Scribble on the bird! Your health is low! TAP THE BLOODY CAN! Look at the top screen! She's about to get hit! Time that jump right! WHY THE HELL DID YOU CHOOSE THE CIRCLE CARD!? I'm not gonna go into detail about it, because I still don't fully understand it. It's ambitious and a cool, unique concept that can only be done on the DS. But too much happens at once! Even after seeing the credits, I still feel like I was nowhere mastering it, and I know I never will. Luckily, the game is very forgiving and there's an easy mode you can fall back on (I never needed it). Everything else about the gameplay is top notch though, I especially like how lowering your level can help you get more item drops. Also, this game did Streetpass before the 3DS was even a thing. Gotta give it props for that. So yes, it's fantastic. But not my favourite DS RPG. And with that, it's time to update my list.
