  1. Golden Sun 1 done! Anyway, my clear data for The Lost Age is ready to go. In case you can't be bothered to type in a 260 character password, I'm willing to let others use the NSO online features to use my clear data to start The Lost Age. Honestly, it's the best file you could ever ask for. Default names for all characters Everyone at a reasonable level of 28-29. Not too high, not too low All 28 Dijinn A whole bunch of stat-boosting items unused for your discretion Same goes for Water of Lifes, Psy Crystals, and Potions All the equipment that are still viable, even during The Lost Age's endgame, right there in the inventory. Yes, even the boots and undershirts No Psynergy granting items skipped. (Orb of Force, etc.) Every event that gets you extra scenes in The Lost Age unlocked Give me a shout during the weekend if you want me to give it to you. That said, if you can't wait until I'm available... ...Seriously, just use the Link cable...
  2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

    Oooooh... Ominous...
  3. You can't have a Golden Sun playthrough without being very immature and posting this classic.
  4. So I mentioned this over chat, but we'll be doing the final Duel board next time. Trust me, you don't want our marathon to end on this board. Because if you thought Mr. Mover was bad? Then you ain't ready for... Backtrack ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! That description is perfect enough, but for you newcomers out there. The gimmick here are the recoloured Backwards Spaces. Instead of making you roll a dice to go backwards, these ones flat out reverse the direction of travel permanently (Or until someone lands on another Backwards Space) This also swaps the position of your partners. Getting Whomp here is going to really suck. Also note the complete lack of junctions. That means you have absolutely no way to influence where you go or land, making this board almost entirely luck based! Now, here's who's rolling the dice with who. @Glen-i VS @S.C.G @BowserBasher VS @Dcubed Now, Dcubed's not available next week, so we'll be taking a sabbatical from our marathon for now. Unless I can rope in @darksnowman for a friendly battle royale match next Friday?
  5. The first match was basically decided almost immediately and wouldn't bloody end, and the second match ended on Turn 4! I hate it when I'm right about things like this... Mr. Mover, man...
  6. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

Stamina format tonight. Custom stages from 7:30pm. Normal stages from 8.
  7. Got battered by Saturos, because having no Mia is proper hard!
  8. Can confirm that you do need two separate Switches to transfer a file to The Lost Age, which also means you can't use your own file.
  9. Boy, Blowhard was a really great Duel Board, huh? Well, Duel Mode only goes downhill from here... Mr. Mover This board is already notable for having the red and blue corners be on the bottom of the board. Note Mr. Mover, the conveyer belt at the bottom of the screen. It changes direction every turn, which means, if you're unlucky, you'll go the direction you don't want to go. Also note the option to loop around in one spot on the sides. This board sucks. I'll be amazed if both matches are close. The matchups have to be this way, because the last Duel Map is a secret one, and I imagine only @Dcubed and I have it. @Glen-i VS @Dcubed @BowserBasher VS @S.C.G I'll leave it up to you when you want to duel, but I imagine Dcubed and I will duel at around 8pm.
  10. Is Game Ownership Important To You?

Literally an "I want to be OP" toggle in a menu.
  11. Is Game Ownership Important To You?

There are other ways to be OP. Trust me on this one. I didn't use them, mind.
  12. Is Game Ownership Important To You?

The spirit and aesthetic, yes, but weirdly, not the gameplay. It's more akin to Golden Sun dungeons with Paper Mario style battles.
  13. Is Game Ownership Important To You?

Gotta side with @Sheikah on this one. Just finished. Very excellent.
  14. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

One word of warning though. The Rex Spirit (Xenoblade 2) got a post-launch evolution via the Pyra/Mythra update, so double check you have that. It's easy to overlook if you already had the spirit beforehand.
  15. Turok was the first console game I ever owned. Got it for Christmas along with a NINTENDO SIXTY-FOUUURRRRR! I wanted Mario 64 though, got this instead. Never realised it was 70 quid back then. I was six though. So I could never beat the first level...
  16. OK, yeah. Never would have guessed that. Which wacko at Nintendo decided to commission that project!?
  17. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Well, if I remember right, the only Spirits that don't show on the Spirit Board are the bosses from World of Light (Rathalos, etc.), and the actual fighters themselves, which you get from completing Classic Mode with each one. I assume you've already completed those. But don't forget about alternate characters like Alph, or the Koopalings. You can get those from the shop, or from completing Classic again with that specific costume. Oh right, yeah. Don't forget about the ones you can only get by fusing other spirits together. And obviously, evolve every spirit you can. If you're like @markderoos and I, and you want an actual "living Dex" of all the spirits, this means you'll have to play World of Light again to get the unevolved versions of Dracula and Marx.
  18. Confirmed in the Pokémon Presents. It seems to be doubling down on the Legends gameplay as far as the overworld is concerned. The Grass starter sucks, but Corporal Quack and Not Bubble Bobble Dragon are great!
  19. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

Nah, you need the DLC to actually get it, and I ain't shelling out to play more of this game.
  20. Your 2024 Gaming Diary

I can't believe he mentioned the grinding cutdown, but didn't mention the exemplary map they added! It's dynamic, so it fills in as you explore. This is the actual reason the Sega Ages version is the best one. Being able to see your max HP/MP on the side is another nice QoL feature. You know what else? The increased EXP and money is optional, if you choose the Original Mode, then the gains are the same as the original game. Seriously, it's an excellent version. Glad it's the way I first played it.
  21. You absolute madman! I didn't have the patience for it. Especially when I realised it's exactly the same window as the SNES game (3 frames)
  22. Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter, now with dogs and Spider Man! I love that you can just flat out make the Felynes and Canynes (Obvious name I wish I thought of) look like normal animals now. That's hilarious. Adept Style isn't coming back, is it?
  23. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

It's up there. But I don't think anything will ever top the Smash 4 Hocotate Bomb incident. It's made me hyper aware of that item since.
  24. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

Hehehe! I'm still laughing about it too! My favourite moment was @Dcubed and I being completely unable to resist obvious bait.
  25. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread

Literal "Why won't you die!?" finish there. Love me some good ol' evenly matched 1-on-1. Just that moment when there's two people left, and it becomes almost zen like, with expert dodges and trading of blows. Always exciting!
