  1. Currently on the five star quests and growing tired of two retarded midgets serving as my only quest companions. It may finally be time to take this bad boy online.

    ANY1 WNA QUAST?

I'm aiming to so some of the HR1 quests over the next few days, so please feel free to fire me a friend request if you fancy joining this potential disaster of a hunting adventure.

Hey those guys are awesome! Kawamba knocked over my first Duramboros, just went up and smacked him and went over like it was ordinary while waddling back over to me, Cha-Cha had none of this and couldn't lose to his rival so ended up flooring a Purple Ludroth later in the day and doing a dance after to celebrate with his AH HA HA!!!

    Lets quest sometime br0!

  2. This game just shows to me how bad or flawed reviews can be. IGN in particular aren't reviewing this game for what it is, just reviewing under the notion of this being, and wanting it to be a Metroidvania title and bashed it for not being that which has been pointed out, which it isn't really intended to be. So it's a shame to see folk who are impressionable to just shun thus after one, perhaps pretty flawed review, especially when other reviewers give a good idea of what you can expect and not compare nor force in their classic Castlevania views.

Pretty much why I avoid reviews and dislike scores. People just cling to a low scoring review, perhaps not reading why that score has been rated as such nor bother with a review that highlights and praises the game. Score and boom. People can even like a game lower than 7/8, and dare say, disagree with a reviewer and his/her impressions, something they fault can me something you don't like or mind. A review should be giving a reader an idea or vision of the game of interest, a take on why they feel something falls short or a highlight, not forcing their wants or beliefs to compare it somethings it's not, and never set out to be that ends up wrongly devaluing a games image.

Regardless was happy to see my e-mail of this being dispatched earlier this afternoon, only thing i'm not happy with is how this marks the start of a pricey gaming month :heh:

  3. Spent a couple of hours just on the 3DS demo, pretty much solely beating Lagombi with different weapons and only one try on Plesioth cause of frustrating water combat and damn do I love this game, perhaps more so than before. Felt familiar but with a fresh twist and can still jump in so easily after clocking all those hours! Love having Tri portable then looking nice and sharp on the TV!

Thought the demo would help tide me over till release but turns out it's made me crave the full game even more :heh: Both versions for me on day one. These will easily take over the top spot in most played for both consoles!

  4. I hope it goes well too. They put alot of effort in and are working on improving it further via updates even after launch. It's one of the prettier launch games.

Absolutely! And they're looking in to upping the graphics and have more patches after this one by the sounds of it. They're trying hard to make this pretty good!

  5. As long as it was playable and not game breaking then it was good enough for me and i'd be happy with it, hearing the positive impressions is a nice extra bonus! But it does seem like something you'd need to go seek for yourself than essentially having it all up in your face like some places are saying.

But Epic Mikey 2 I totally get :heh:

  6. I have loads op Wiiu-games to play, but have only tries NSMBU and Arkham City. Since I'm very familiar with the original edition and because what I've read on them internets (Horrible framerate! Unplayable mess! What ARE those shadows! Texture-loading! Boo and Hiss!), I've spent a fair amount of time with the Armoured Edition... and it's good. Not better, not worse, but definitely Arkham City. Only with a slightly crappier looking suit.

The gamepad really is an improvement, I feel. The map is just a look down away, and everything is avaiable just a couple of presses away.

Have to get used to the new controller, though. Since my hand are acustomed to the 360-controller, It's weird playing Batman with the second analogue stick above the buttons. But it just takes a little getting used to.

I really don't know what the backlash for the Wii U-version on the net is all about. Yes, a frame may get lost here and there, but it's not noticable and doesn't hamper gameplay for me, unlike some reports on the net. And the gamepad is really well suited for this game.

This is fantastic to hear some impressions on this subject. I have the game myself, but have yet to play it since i'm working my way through the launch titles. I kind of had a hard time buying in to all this frame rate/unplayable stuff, and I heard Warriors Orochi 3 had frame rate issues as well, something i've not at all come across, but instead folk seem to be taking the opportunity to bash it for no good reason.

I'm definently looking forward to having some hands on time with this later on tonight with ZombiU or Darksiders tonight.

  7. Glad you got it worked out dude.

Hmm, a download code for Nintendoland? Somehow that doesn't add up as adequate compensation given that the end user would then have not only missed out the boxed copy of the game they paid for, they'd also never get that boxed copy and they'd be using unnecessary space on their (rather limited imo) HDD.

Is that email being sent to everyone who ordered? If each one has a new code for Nintendoland, some charitable people could "donate" their spare code to less fortunate Wii U owners.

Yeah looks like it's everyone that got a deluxe, whether they got it or not. I'd kind of prefer the disc to be honest, i'm not too fussed since when I was lying in my bed this morning, I couldn't be bothered changing discs that would be 2 meters away from me :heh:

Forgot about the hard drive space to be fair, that's 5 gig of mine already gone alone with what the OS has thanks to this and Trine 2.

  8. Has anyone grabbed Trine 2 yet? I'm um-ing and err-ing over it and I'd like to hear some impressions before I take the plunge.

It's totally worth it, especially for £10.99 and the amount of content you get with it. Especially with online co-op, not to mention they're working on adding voice chat, enhanced colours/graphics and tighter controls in a couple weeks.

  9. I've contacted them, but heard nothing back yet. By 'replacement', surely you don't mean sending the whole Wii U box back to them for one that has Nintendo Land included?

Nah, just the Nintendoland I meant there. Screw the e-mail, get on a live chat or phone them! First person I spoke too pretty much said contact Nintendo all the time, wouldn't be good if you kept getting that, especially from e-mail. Keep on them!

  10. All Amazon deluxe packs are missing the Nintendo Land game which is supposed to be in the box. Including mine. Sigh.

Ah, not just me then. That quashes my theory about a rogue Amazon despatcher rifling through boxes for stuff to sell on ebay. Still annoying though.

This happened to me too, have you guys contacted amazon yet? Im getting a replacement for it soon.
