  1. DS/DSi General Discussion

The screens are probably my favourite thing about this new piece of kit. So much brighter, and noticeably bigger. I was playing multiplayer Mario Kart yesterday (on my DSi) against my cousin (on a DS Lite) and the DS Lite screens look really quite dull and small in comparison. Obviously this has an effect on battery life though!
  2. ^ The man's right. You can watch a gig from the comfort of your living room, but actually getting involved in the crowd at a gig makes for a much more enjoyable, and exclusive to that moment in time, experience. Live for the moment, EEVILMURRAY. Or at least try once more!
  3. Bet you didn't expect to see me posting here! :p I love that song, definitely the best on their latest album. Loads of the other songs are great, but i DETEST "I'm Not Okay" and I don't really like "Helena"...
  4. I guess it can't be the same for all of us... Shyness seems to be the main problem for people who don't enjoy gigs. If you're a self-conscious person I can see how it might be hard to "let it all go", but then again, you might not be self consious at all! If I were you, i'd give a different gig a try. You might find it different. Don't dismiss them instantly after only going to one.
  5. Dream Theater!

Some of the stuff on that reminds me of both George Michael and Michael Jackson! It's much funkier than the rest of their stuff. I guess it was released nearer to the 80s than most of their albums. Man, the eighties were funky!
  6. I wouldn't mind a bash at that game, or Samus for that matter If you link up Zero Mission with Fusion, the two GBA Metroid games, you get an awesome gallery with loads of pics of her on your Zero Mission pak.
  7. How are they not that worth it? I've been to a few, including System of a Down, Slipknot and Slayer, and they were awesome! Even the little gigs involving local bands are so much fun! The high you get off of the atmosphere - I don't mean off of all the smoke from the stoners - but just letting everything go, enjoying a good tune and having fun with all different kinds of people is one of the best feelings Unless the band is shit live  I think you're right Grebe, I believe their genre would be "screamo". Why does one simple mention of 'Emo' always cause such a fuss? It's not like they go out of their way to make peoples' lives a misery, like the 'Chavs'. No i'm not an "Emo". I don't really like categorisation, if such a word exists. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the gig. I enjoy their music. I don't dislike them just because they're popular... Man, I hate it when people say they don't like bands because they're well liked... Sorry if that made no sense to you whatsoever, I just had so many thoughts and didn't know how to order them.
  8. I know they're a bit "emo" and everybody seems to be so strongly against the stereotype, but I just wondered if anybody was going to see them in Brixton on Friday? They're actually not as bad as you may think! They seem to be better, musically, than most emo bands out there right now. Anyways, Me and Twozzok are going along with a couple of other mates and my girlfriend, so if anybody fancies a meet-up...
  9. User Image Gallery

Here's a picture my friend drew of me about a year ago, and also the actual photo. Note: It's a Chuppa Chup stick in my mouth, I don't smoke! Here's a fine shot of my arse: And also one of me and a friend: There. That makes up for all of the threads like this I haven't participated in.

  11. I'll Have A...

Me too. And Tiger! You gotta love that chinese stuff... AND OLD SPECKLED HEN!
  12. Dream Theater!

Ok, I admit I went a little too far... Not too many people enjoy his vocals though, and he's definitely not as talented as the other band members. The time signatures are simply crazy, but make the band all the more interesting to listen to. Their songs are almost like "pieces" rather than what we think of as "songs", which I imagine puts most people off of the band (the average 'song' is probably about 10 minutes long). The solos, the harmonies, the crazy synthesized sounds.... Ahhh. More fun than Pink Floyd
