  1. I bought the video on iTunes. Whoooops <3
  2. I think they have removed or are removing that now, since you can soon transfer characters between factions on the same server.
  3. Make that a 73 BElf priest on Genjuros, along with my 21 Tauren shaman and 16 Tauren druid
  4. Loving leveling my 72 priest on Genjuros. PvP realms FTW :P
  5. BlazBlue Calamity Trigger

I think anyone who plays bad games like Terminator Salvation or Quantum of Solace, just to get platinums is a trophy whore.
  6. BlazBlue Calamity Trigger

I'll be getting this on PS3 now
  7. Aion

I'd love to play this game, but i refuse to bastardise my Mac with windoze. Looks like i'll be sticking with WoW for the time being It's where all my friends are. Still, this game looks fucking cool
  8. Fat Princess

I love this game so hard!!! It's indecent how much I love it It's like WoW PvP arena matches, with the ability to swap roles, and feed cake to a bloke in a dress
  9. PSP Go

QFT The PSP Go is RIDICULOUS!! It's cheaper to make than the PSP 3K apparently, and it costs more than the PSP when it first came out, which people already though was way too expensive at about £200 ish. £250-230 is ridiculous for a cheaper console which you have to buy all your media for again.
  10. Post Your Purchases

    OMG! Bargain of the year!!!
  11. PSP Go

The PSP Go is a great idea, but ridiculously priced, and it would've been a better move had it been a PSP2. I'm going to be selling my first gen white PSP and getting a PSP-2k to see me through to a real sequel. Sony appear to be testing the markets with this much like Activision are with their overpriced peripheral (TH:Ride, DJ Hero) and non-peripheral games (CoD:MW2) this Autumn, and I for one will not be buying any of them for the foreseeable future.
  12. Fat Princess

Just bought this game. Hope it's goooood
  13. PlayStation 3 Console Discussion

Numblast may be the most annoying anime style game ever invented
  14. *stops reading thread as it has now become the "Sheikah fucks the N64 era up the arse and everything new since then is pointless and just shinier than the perfect games that developers made for the 64 -thread . . ." *
  15. But Sheikah, there are new IPs being made all the time. The MGS stuff for LBP added the paintball shooter, new switches and other gizmos which expanded the type of levels people could make. It thought it significant. What you seem to be wanting is akin to expecting every scientist to be a Einstein or Darwin, or every artist to be a Van Gough or Da Vinci, and every film to be as revolutionary as say Blade Runner or Snow White etc. I say, stop your whinging. True, crazy mind altering innovation comes very rarely. And if you're not impressed or excited by the likes of natal than i'd say you were extremely jaded.
  16. But with FF7 you're paying to play it on both your PS3 AND on the go on your PSP. Which is worth the £8 to some people for the game which is over a GB in file size. On the LBP front, the content i was talking about was things like the level creation packs, user designed level, Metal Gear Solid level pack etc. They expand the game in meaningful ways. 2D platform games have been the same since the 80s more or less. With variations on a theme to spice things up. This doesn't detract from the quality of game in the least. Super Mario World essentially perfected the 2D platformer to my mind, yet games like Braid and New SMB Wii can change the gameplay in meaningful ways to alter how we approach the genre, and to even create a new branch. At it's core it may use the same mechanics of jumping and reaching an end goal, but the variations in design and addition of new mechanics is what keeps the genre relevant. By your argument, each genre should have one game which is the original source of the later derivations. And you hold this 'original' in high regard and seem to treat all alternatives with contempt. This just seems very small minded of you.
  17. Picking up on what Daft said, the biggest change is DLC this generation, along with this being the first generation of consoles really designed for being plugged into the internet 24/7. An interesting point is how some games are now becoming platforms via use of DLC - Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Burnout Paradise, LBP etc. I think these two things are what makes this generation different from all others. The last generation took a few tentative steps towards the online fluency of consoles, and other than that was merely a polygon bump. This generation we're seeing the realisation of the promise of online gaming beyond merely online multiplayer. That's the jump that 360 and PS3 has taken. I think it's ridiculous to try and compare Goldeneye to say Battlefield 1943 or Killzone 2. What people expect from games since then has changed massively. And Resistance 2's co-op multiplayer is an indication of people still trying to refresh the genre and take it in new directions. As was my point before, the innovation is there, you just need to look.
  18. *bashes head against a wall* There's no point in arguing it's just a matter of taste and opinion. Many of the posters here seem to be wearing rose-tinted glasses, lamenting the days when Nintendo were making very few, but good games. Along the excitement of a new dimension to explore and experiment with. There hasn't been a paradigm shift yet, except what is now beginning in terms of the control method being used. That's the next step which is equatable to the N64 and PSone generation. But still, it'll be a few more years before we see the real games that will make these motion sensing controls their home and offer perhaps a chance to have that same excitement which was around in the 90s. One can say that this gen doesn't compare to previous generations, but it doesn't really get anyone anywhere. The quality of games has been improving since the stumbling many developers went through following the 3D jump but i don't think that that is the argument people are talking about here. If it was, it'd be bloody obvious that this generation has had more quality games than previous generations at the same point in the life cycle. No the argument here seems to be just about rhetoric. Play games, the old games are there for you to play, the new games are being offered to you. Play what you wish, just don't needlessly bitch about things not being as they used to. There are real pioneers still experimenting, although you seem to miss them as you appear to have had your heads buried inside old games magazines, getting high off the cartridge dust.
  19. I'm with Daft et al. This generation has being amazing thus far! It had a slow start but now it's in its stride. The 360 hardware bullshit has left a sour taste in all multi-console gamers but overlooking that and looking at the games, it's clear that this has been a very solid generation. Let alone the three consoles differentiating into unique platforms. Wii for families and retro heads, 360 for mouthy teens and testosterone fueled gamers and the PS3 for alternative downloadable games and a media center essentially for your HD TV. I'm a happy boy with my PS3, still glad i sold my 360, thinking about selling the Wii as well. *sigh* Still the 360 and PS3 have a strong portfolio of games, so if you have ended up with just one of them you should still be incredibly spoilt for choice!
