So how's F-Zero looking for those that have downloaded it? Can't wait to get home tonight and pick it up! Also any one got both the MH3U demo's? Just wondering if they are the same but better graphics (I Hope) or different parts of the game?

Capcom fancy a word regarding Resident Evil Revelations Seriously though surely it doesn't matter how powerful a console is anymore, more what they can do. I was much more interested in what the console could do (share, spectating etc) than how much grunt it has under the hood, considering judging by the admittedly early demos and gameplay, the leap isn't as big as it used to be. Still I thought it was a fairly good showing in terms of what the console can do, though having watched it again I stand by my Killzone thoughts, looked generic and some of the physics looked naff.
-
I've stopped watching now but before I forget did anyone else notice the guy walking down the stairs at the beginning of the killzone demo and think it looked a tad ministry of silly walks? He just sort of bobbed down them in a faintly comedic manner. Or maybe it's just late. Night

That killzone demo just did for me, looked generic and was a pretty uninspiring showcase, graphically and gameplay wise. Thought it was going alright til then. Still you do wonder if Randy Pitchford was consulted on some of this hyperbolic chunter, they sure can talk the talk!

I just think it's great that they don't censor you on there, as daft as it sounds. Would be easy for them to remove all the negative and annoyed messages, but they don't, and judging from the 60hz move, it sounds like they actually care about what we say, which I think is great! Feels like we have a voice and direct link to the developers. Wouldn't be suprised to see Sony announce a similar service tonight (if rumours are to be believed), just because it's such a simple concept but great idea!

http://www.gonintendo.com/ Jesus Christ I can't get the link up properly apart from going to the main site, sorry! But 3 stories down is a list of this weeks downloads, and seems to confirm it is the NTSC version, 60HZ for EU! Edit: what @Ike said!

I had to youtube this after you asked me and I wondered what I missed, and it turns out I did miss something scary!

Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen
Kaepora_Gaebora replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Sorry, I didn't mean any offence to anyone who has bought and enjoyed it, I guess what with all the negative reaction just seemed suprising it had made it to number 1! But then I haven't played it so I don't know -

http://videogames.virginmedia.com/news/uk_video_game_chart_aliens_colonial_marines_becomes_the_biggest_new_release_of_2013.html The biggest Game of 2013 so far. Wasn't sure if this should go in sales figures thread, but it is relevant to this game, BECAUSE IT'S AT NUMBER 1!! Mental. -
This is quite a fun little game, downloaded the missions pack for £7.99, well worth a look! Online would have been the icing on the cake but for the price, I mustn't grumble.
-
Thanks for the heads up, just made the purchase, considering the reviews and feedback on here, a steal at £14.98!!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (March 22nd)
Kaepora_Gaebora replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
So the GAME shop in Stratford Westfield (arguably their flagship store, certainly in London) have started advertising the game already, running videos at the shop entrance!!......slight issue, they are playing Monster Hunter 3 Tri videos, advertising it for the Wii. If I could post a face palm gif I would. Utterly abject, who the guff is running that place. Still hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for the game, am a MH virgin like a few of the posters on here have said, 3DS will be where I put the ground work in, Wii U where the online destruction of worlds will commence. Or whatever it is you do on Monster Hunter -
Never played Mario Golf?! You haven't lived!! it's a shame really because now a days if I had wanted a golf game when starting to become interested in it, tiger woods would be the easiest one to pick up and play. But fate decided Mario Golf 64 was that game for me, and what a game it is! Copies of any of the entries are probably quite rare, but golf 64 is on the Wii VC, so would recommend giving it a bash if either golf takes your fancy, or you quite like solo player skill games (sounds bizarre, but even in multiplayer it's very much a solo experience in terms of any mistake you make is yours and no one else's!)

You know how I know you stole my stolen joke? You spelt his name wrong just like I did. Clowns, the pair of us!
-
Agreed, if it would be the same game. If however there were benefits to having both (unlocking new courses/modes/characters etc) and being able to use 3DS as controller (am I just describing Monster Hunter 3 here?!) then I would be all 'fore' (apologies) it! ...But then I am a Mario Golf whore.
-
Roses are Red, Violets are Glorious, Don't sneak up, On Oscar Pistorious! A heart warming Valentine's Day limerick for everyone (that I may have stolen from a friend!). Sorry...
-
Yeah I agree to an extent, just happy to be getting more Mario Golf but a Wii U version would have been nice, very nice actually, Toadstool Tour is still a staple of drunken nights in (and out) with my mates, so an update is due! Perhaps a Wii U version is in the works too, with connectivity with this one...what dreams may come! My only concern is that it doesn't follow the formula of Mario Tennis 3DS, which as much as I enjoyed it was a very shallow experience, I found I traded it in far too early than I would have liked, so I hope there is some sort of RPG mode to lengthen the experience. But who am I kidding, I would buy it for £39.99 if it was just one course and Mario the only playable character...

Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen
Kaepora_Gaebora replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Same as ZombiU! If this game is supposed to be as broken and guff as is being made out, I hope Gamespot offer an apology to Wii U owners and ammend their score for ZombiU to a more suitable mark. Won't happen, but just goes to show how disappointing Gamespot have become. And how disappointing this game has turned out to be across the board -
Me and you both, I spent Friday at work looking into things like illuminati, Freemasons and links with entertainment and religion ( purely for knowledge, love a good conspiracy or mystery), then he resigns today!i may leave the country...:p A girl at work who was going on about all this stuff to me, when I told her the news, said straight away "he will be dead in a few months" if that happens I'm changing my name and having facial reconstructive surgery!
-
Not to show off...oh alright maybe a little...but I have all the pieces to date ( I believe ) so if anyone in the London or Oxfordshire area is desperate for pieces am happy to sort something out like sitting down and continually street passing for an hour, cheat the system! Or alternatively you will find me on the central line most days

Roundtable: Delays In Gaming!
Kaepora_Gaebora replied to Mokong's topic in General Gaming Discussion
If the N64 taught me anything it's that patience is well rewarded as far as Nintendo is concerned. The wait for some of those games, specifically Rare games, was excruciating at times but always worth it. However back in those days there was no opportunity to download patches for games with bugs etc, so you had to get it right first time or not at all (unless you faced the shame of recalling stock to replace like wwf no mercy!) Ultimately I would much rather wait for a product to be finished and ready to play rather than a broken shambles that sours the experience and you have to wait for downloads etc to compliment the game. Which makes me slightly worried about Nintendo, it didn't bother me at all as I knew in advance through this site, but an hour long download just to start using the advertised features on the Wii U seemed unlike them, I understand why, but why didn't they push the launch back instead of courting potentially bad press, which did turn out to be the case. Also in the cube era me and my mates had a ritual, every Friday morning at 6th form we would head to our local GAME and pick up the latest release, religiously and regardless of reviews etc, a game a week! The glory days, which have long gone, less disposable income means I would rather have more space in between games to make the most out of each one, I bought eternal darkness and star fox adventures on the same day, so both suffered as a result! Which is why for example (just an example) I personally would be happy to see Lego city delayed IF needed, because I will be picking up Monster Hunter 3 on both platforms and want to invest as much time in that as possible before moving to my next game, which will be Lego city. However I understand people would want vice versa or cry uproar at that notion, but I hope you know what I mean. Christ what was the topic?! Ah yes happy for delays for quality reasons, not happy for delays like Rayman reasons, which I believe will see sales suffer. Perfect dark was delayed from a November to the following June and was well worth the wait because of the extra polish. Jury is out on Ubisoft's big call -
When are we going to get some Wii U games released?
Kaepora_Gaebora replied to ReKonvicted's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I feel like I was conditioned to wait for games by the N64 era too. Getting so close to Jet Force Gemini, only for it to be pushed back to make them grown up, Perfect Dark for god knows what reason (framerate maybe, which still didn't get sorted ) Nintendo don't seem to go by the 'WE ARE RELEASING THIS BLOCKBUSTER ON THE XX OF XXXX 200X', more 'you'll get it when we are bloody ready'. Which can be a good or bad thing!
