  1. Stupidity. Lots and lots of boundless stupidity. Seriously, now I completely understand why Codemasters won't bring out Dirt 4 for the Switch. In a game like that, just having a digital on/off button for the throttle literally ruins the game.
  2. In terms of GTA V, is it unreasonable to believe that they're not porting it over because they're going to announce GTA VI soon? After all, GTA V was released in 2013, making it almost four years old. Or perhaps my theory of Retro Studios making a Nintendo-exclusive entry/remake holds some merit?
  3. I just threw together a video covering my thoughts on the Switch so far. Hope it sparks a bit of debate
  4. 1-2 Switch (March 3rd 2017)

Nintendo want to diferentiate the Switch from the Wii brand. Bundling a casual minigame compilation as they did with the Wii and Wii U would convince people that this is another gimmicky, casual machine. If Nintendo bundle the Switch with anything, it should be either Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 or possibly Arms.
  5. Fire Emblem Direct - January 18th

First off: right back at you. Second: I believe that the 3DS port of Hyrule Warriors got more screen time than this when it was unveiled. And that was a visually downgraded port of an at that point year old game. So atless this is a piece of crap that both Nintendo and Koei-Tecmo feel ashamed of, there should be LOTS to inform me about.
  6. I believe you're talking about SFV. SFIV came out for pretty much every format on planet earth.
  7. Fire Emblem Direct - January 18th

Oh for god's sake. They're spending more time on the crap mobile game than everything else put together. Doesn't indicate too much faith in the Switch...
  8. Pokemon Switch - Possibilities

I know what I don't want to see... Pokémon voices taken from the cartoon. Seriously, if I'll be forced to hear Pikachu saying "Pikachu" all the god damn time, then that alone is enough to make me not buy it.
  9. Grey or Red/Blue

At first I thought it was distasteful to mix colors. But after some thinking, I love it. It feels kinda 90's-tastic. It reminds me of some older Walkman models. Although, I would rather have seen Nintendo making a red-yellow combo.
  10. The 'Other' Switch Thread

I'm surprised why Jim didn't mention N64 games. Why the f**k not give N64 games with online play away? Hello, f**king 4-player online Waverace or Mario Kart 64? I don't give a toss about the NES or SNES.
  11. Arms

Well, Street Fighter continues to get new releases, so...
  12. Arms

Agreed. I really like this. I don't get why people thinks this is nothing more than Wii Sports Boxing. To me, this seems like a "proper" fighting game, only with motion controls.
  13. Splatoon 2

Considering there will be a Switch app for your phone, I wouldn't be surprised if you could use your phone's internet connection for online play on the go.
  14. For just playing online, I'd give a rock solid no. But I could definitely see myself paying a monthly fee to get access to EVERYTHING on the Virtual Console.
  15. Splatoon 2

I'm kinda hyped for this, but I want to know more. I like that you'll be able to change "hair"styles now, but I still think it's too bad you can't choose pants. But really, I have to agree that it's not obvious how the game has improved. Is the single player going to be more substantial? 4-player splitscreen? Bigger hub world? Weapon customization? Level editor? More multiplayer modes? Wipeout 3 was called Wip3out, but to my knowledge noone was confused over it.
  16. Not gonna get this for any treasure in the world. Why not port Street Fighter IV?
  17. I was expecting this game to be very lacking in the story department after what's been shown up until now. But I must say, I love what Nintendo have done with the narrative. Plus, it seems like the game will feature full voice acting! Fist time in a VERY long time that I've wanted to get a special edition of something. Last time was... Skyward Sword.
  18. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (2017)

Having only played Xenoblade Chronicles X, this reveal left me kinda baffled. Where's all the sci-fi stuff? And what's with the art style? It looks like a generic JRPG now.
  19. Arms

Personally, I think it seems intriguing, The art style reminds me of the newer Street Fighter games, as well as Overwatch. And it seems like it's going to be a hell of a lot better game than Punch Out for the Wii. I think that Nintendo want this to be for fighting games what Splatoon was for shooters. Still don't think I'm going to buy it, but it's a CONSIDERABLE improvement over the dull 2D sidescrollers and minigame compilations the Wii U was riddled with. I'd rather see more games like this than another Donkey Kong Country or Game & Wario. Definitely not hammer, as this has literally nothing in common. Hammer was going to basically going to be a story driven single player beat 'em up. This is a fighter, seemingly with a focus towards multiplayer.
  20. 1-2 Switch (March 3rd 2017)

Am I the only one who first thought that this was going to be a new Wild Gunman? I don't like the look of this game... but I don't think you're right there. At least the wild west duel game only seems to require each player to have one joycon.
  21. Super Mario Odyssey

I don't mind it. After all, the game is about Mario being out of place.
  22. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

I'm wondering the same thing. The sizzle reel showed lots of games which were more interresting than the ones discussed in the presentation. Anyways, I think this looks brilliant. Although I wish Nintendo could offer some sort of discount for those who have the Wii U version.
  23. Super Mario Odyssey

Seems great. The graphics in this game are awesome. The city level reminds me of the pre-rendered cutscenes in Sonic Adventure
  24. FIFA and nothing else? Yikes, they must have no fate in Nintendo consoles at all. Was hoping for a port of Battlefield 1 or Mass Effect Andromeda. And in regards to the Zelda trailer... F**KING VOICE ACTING! And not just in the intro, but seemingly throughout the entire game.
