This game looks really cheap and nasty. The graphics could mostly have been done on the Wii and you drive around with tanks where you can't rotate the turret. So essentially, the game should've been called S-tank! S-tank! S-tank! I feel like doing a pun: I hope this game'll Tank, Tank, Tank in retail.

It's a game with a name that says nothing, graphics which mostly are possible on the Wii. And it just doesen't look like a game that'll blow Metal Gear, Alan Wake or Grand Theft Auto out of the water. It looks cheap and casual. Pikmin looks gorgeous and it's a franchise where we already know that the gameplay is fun. This looks like Pikmin having a bastard child with Call of Duty.

The Wii is a complete disaster which core gamers will have zero interrest in after the Wii U's launch. Nintendo are also going to need to force the casuals over to the Wii U with a stick. Espescially if the Wii U performance wise isn't a true next gen system.

Are you joking? I'm super-happy that ME3 is coming for the Wii U and hope that we'll get ME2 as well. And I'll rather get Battlefield 3 than Call of an 90+year old main character.

Is Nintendo About to go a Generation Down Already?
Hogge replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Nintendo are launching the Wii U because they have realised that without the core gamers, a console will fail, as the original Wii has started to do. If the Wii U isn't next gen, then that will bite them in the ass. -
Wii U: now packed with 12 awful games! Sorry, but everything about this game just made me yawn. When I heard about the Zelda themed thing, I was hyped. Maybe it'd be some kind of Zelda themed arena fighter? Maybe like a budget version of Soul Calibur or a far improved version of the Wii Sports Boxing game? Then I saw that Link looks like a poor mans Little Big Planet character.

Well, thing is that ME3 is adapted to let people whom haven't played the first two games. EA want to sell more copies of ME3 than they've sold ME2. Let's face it, people are already buying ME3 without knowing the backstory. The Playstation gamers still haven't received a port of ME1, instead they got an interactive comic. It's likely there'll be the same thing here, only one which also contains the events of ME2. And also, launching ME3 at launch doesen't prevent them from launching ME2 later, perhaps with ALL the DLC already on the disc. Yes, bundling ME2+3 would be great. But I'm hoping that EA at least will give us some exclusive content, or at least improved graphics.

Not to mention the Retro Studios reveal, F-Zero, Starfox, 1080, Waverace, new core IP... Heck, Nintendo had the potential to blow everyone out of the water, yet their conference turned out with bupcus. ZombiU was shown yesterday, New Mario Bros, Assassins Creed, Aliens and a few other games were shown no better than last year. Exactly. Pikmin made me think that this was going to be a text book "E3 done right". Reggies talk about not displaying hardware, because of a focus on software felt like a confirmation of this. But everything that followed was a major let down.

This is one of few Wii U titles I'm excited about. If they'll make some proper improvements of the gameplay, I might rebuy it. Imagine swaping weapons on the touch pad, or quickly picking powers with the touch of the screen, rather than using the wheel. Heck, having a map on your screen and giving your squaddies commands super quickly. One thing Iwata said was quite true. I have somewhat bad eyesight, and I hate reading the codec on my screen. Imagine getting it on your tablet instead. And of course, I hope you'll be able to get Samus as a squadmate. As I've stated before: I'm hoping this is an excuse to get Commander Shepard as an unlockable character in Smash Bros.

Probably the most forgettable thing I've seen in a long time. Footage of some games we saw last year, a bunch of blabber about sports games and watching sports on your Xbox. And of course a whole bunch of bragging about how the Xbox 360 is getting... some multiplatform titles on it. The only good thing was the trailer for Forza Horizon. Microsoft, I'm down begging on my knees, greenlight Perfect Dark 2. Not another prequel with an american cartoon teen brat chasing her daddy. No, I want fast paced gameplay, bajilions of unlockables and features, twenty non-linear levels without checkpoints and just generally all the features Rare wanted to put into the N64 original, but couldn't because of technical limits.

Looking forward to seeing gameplay. To be honest though, this might be a repeat of Red Steel. Super hyped prior to the Wii's launch, then slammed and forgotten, probably damaging the Wii's potential reputation as an FPS platform.

Nintendo bail out Greece: employ EVERYONE to moderate EVERYTHING written on the Nintendo Network. I really don't think "copy" is a correct term. There are similarities, but it looks like ergonomics may be better on the Nintendo controller. I'm just a tiny bit sceptical about the right control stick swapping place with the D-pad. On the other hand, Sony lovers don't complain about the left analogue stick on Sonys consoles being in the wrong place. On second thought... they don't even complain about the ergonomics not being improved since 1994.

The Wii U Pro controller: I want some of that in my life. My body is ready.

Who'd you like to see instead? Garrus? Anderson? The Illusive man? Samara? I know, let's pick Joker! Yeah. Down+B should let you cycle through weapons ROFL I don't like Crash very much, but on the other hand, I'd love to completely bash him up.

To be honest, it's much too early. They probably haven't even decided themselves what the art should look like. Although I understand why, I think it's a bit sad that they don't want to introduce as many new characters as they did in Brawl. But I'm still hoping for them to bring Commander Shepard in. But of course, I want to see at least one Mass Effect entry for the Wii U. Including Mega Man is a great idea as well.
