I put four hours into Monster Hunter World this evening, this is after not really playing anything for weeks and I've only been playing in Single Player mode so far but... ...easily my Game of the Year so far and while it might only be January, I can see myself playing this nearly every day for the duration of the year. Monster Hunter is back and this time, it means business.

The game and amiibo are up for preorder at the Nintendo UK store.

I dunno if there are many artists here, but I always think its cool to see what other people create with their imagination. So, if there are any artists here willing to share their artwork, I think we should have a thread for it here :). If there is already a thread for something like this, or it is inappropriate, point me in the right direction! Also, gaming/nintendo-related artwork is a plus :D. I'm currently working on a small series of powerful attacks by Nintendo Characters. Gonna be eight in total, I think, and it's part of my daily drawing challenge. In the end I'll have them colored, put up against each other, and put on a A3 or 50x70 print. So far I have Link and Mario :).

I woke up extra early so I could get time to play this. Still spent for ever in character and erased most of my time so will have to wait till after work, drinks and a meal before I can really sink my teeth into it. Think I’ll be manning charge blade but dabbling a bit in almost every other weapon this time. Everyone else doing something similar? Edit: oh and it’s great to be talking/playing/dreaming monster hunter again

Tempted by this as it looks great! It's actually all I ever wanted from a Ice Climbers reboot - take note Nintendo. My one concern is that I don't have a Pro Controller and the precise movements in this game would definitely be better with that analogue stick and not the joy con ones. Think I'll nab Gungeon and Shovelknight first....

I've also just recently (finally) started on the Champions Ballad. I'm really enjoying it. Would I have liked and did I expect a new storyline, absolutely, but with expectations in check, I'm loving what we actually got. Just finished Mipha's sidequest. Also, running around Hyrule for the first time in months is making me fall in love with the game all over again. Similar to Ocarina of Time, it's one of those games I wish I could experience for the first time again.

Noone else here who's on the creative side? Just made this Daft Punk sketch with Windsor & Newton markers: Kinda fun to work on the coloration and blending of the different markers. Not really done that too much.

Kinda reminds me of the 24 hour Kirby Marathon @Dcubed, @Ugh first aid and I did way back. And I ran through Kirby 64 with pretty much only one ability combo (Cutter/Spark). That was funny!
