I'm ready for my 2nd play through, this time on Switch and with amiibo (Majora's Mask Link is all I need ). The plan is to finish all side quests, get all the armor pieces, upgrade them fully and complete all shrines. Not sure if I'll go for the korok seeds seems like a huge task lol. I'm about to get the dlc in a minute, once I have it can I start the game on hard mode or is it unlocked once I beat the game? Edit. Download / Update complete. You actually can start it on Master Mode. Let the games begin!

So, a tour of the 5.0 update for the Switch has potentially been uploaded to YouTube, and will supposedly launch in February, according to the potential leak. Key features of this purported update are: • Custom themes/theme shop. • Cloud storage. • Game sorting. • Party chat. • Media apps (YouTube, Twitch, etc.). • Virtual Console. • System-level microphone support. • Internet browser. However, there are some discrepancies: • The YouTube logo seen in the video is outdated. • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a digital purchase, which takes up 6.8 GB of system memory. However, as seen in the storage menu, only 2 GB of system memory, less than 3.2 GB of SD card memory and 0.9 GB of cloud storage is taken up (totalling 6.1 GB). Some have argued that the game might have been archived, but there is no icon to download the game back to the system (note: this could be something which changes with such an update). • Such a massive update which ticks a lot of the fans’ wants across the board would seem a strange move from a company as conservative in decision making as Nintendo (at least when it comes to this sort of thing). I’ll believe it when I see it. There are certainly a lot of things I’d love to see which were in this video (namely Virtual Console), but at the very least, this person seems to have a very good idea of how to map out a convincing Switch UI in the event it turns out to be a fake.

I can't comment on the differences, but I've just picked it up and it's good. Frustrating when your not landing your dunks steals etc but so so good once you get used to the controls and timings. I played for a couple of hours last night and i'm not great by any means, but i made significant improvements in a short time and had a lot of fun.

Its literally just called Nintendo Switch Online. Only Splatoon has a hub right now though.

PSMD is definitely not the the game I'd recommend as an entry title. It's quite easily the hardest in the series. A very unforgiving game. It's still a good deal though. Explorers of Sky is certainly no cakewalk, but it's much more beginner friendly with a less steep difficulty curve. It still gets tough though, around two thirds through (Damn you, Porygons). Best story in the Pokemon franchise as well, even with "Power of Friendship" seeing heavy usage. That's the one I'd recommend first if it's available.

There's a department at work that are very demanding and get the lion's share of work and a chore to deal with but I've been redoing their communications recently and put it out for testing with someone in there yesterday and a few hours later my line manager sent me some really nice and positive feedback from the head of the department and it caught me off guard. They usually act so entitled that it was kind of disorientating to get something nice, although obviously good. And then today I had a legitimate reason to name something 'COC_VIEW' so I'm pleased with myself. It beats the time I got to call something 'Sexit'.

Yeah insane, especially Intel's lukewarm response. I really hope this hurts them a bit to give AMD some more marketshare, and even give Qualcomm a chance with their WOS program. The processor market has always been way too one-sided.

Job win: got my first freelance job in the gaming industry! Will be doing the Russian translation for an upcoming indie game. Won't reveal any details as I'm not allowed to yet. The pay is rather meager and I'm nervous as hell that I'm up to the task, but I'm bloody excited. Seeing my name in the credits has been a dream since I was 6 years old, I just never assumed it would be for localization.

Looks like a Burnout Paradise re-release might be on the way for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. I'll be annoyed if they call it Burnout Paradise HD though. The original was HD. I loved the original game so I'll be suckered into buying this though I sorta wish it was coming to the Switch but y'know EA.. Hopefully they're sniffing out potential for another Burnout game.

I didn't make any last year so don't have any progress to report on but I have a few things I'd like to do this year Read Some Books I somehow managed to go through all of 2017 without reading a single book so I'm pretty keen to get back into the habit of reading at least one a month. Watch 52 Worthwhile Films I probably watch more than 52 films in a year without even thinking about it but the majority of them tend to be just schlocky or shallow films to pass the time, this year I plan on watching at least one quality film that i've never seen before each week. I've been pretty successful at doing this with video games over the past two years (just missing out on 52 for 2017) so it shouldn't be too much of an issue to repeat the task with films. Make Progress On A Creative Pursuit I probably need to be a bit more focused, I have interest in writing, making music, films and game design but haven't made anything substantial in a long time so I plan on making this the year when I finally produce something and see it through to the end. To Get Well The main resolution I have set myself for 2018 if to get better. I spent the latter half of 2016 basically housebound and made some progress towards getting better in 2017 and I can now get out about my neighbourhood and go to the local shops but I still suffer a great deal with anxiety and agoraphobia and haven't been able to see my brothers new house since he moved in, which is something I hope to be able to do by the end of the year. It's the most important resolution for me but also the one I have the least control over, although success in this resolution should help me achieve success in the others and vice versa.
