So, uh, to most people's surprise (including my own), reviews for the game have dropped and it has been received really well! Currently at 87 on Metacritic and 86 on OpenCritic: Some reviews and impressions: Kudos to Bloober and Konami!  Very curious to see where the consensus lies after the fog has cleared on whether newcomers should play this or the original. 

"It's just a step to the left, and a pitfall to the riiiighhht.... Make sure to time your jumps, watch out 'cos knockback's insaaannne... Let's play MegaMan-Castlevania again!"

The game's soundtrack is now up on Spotify!  Now to add the jolly vibes of Tite Mites and Marine Serene to my alarm music playlist 

I thought this was a joke post at first, but it really is a thing!   They’ve actually turned it into a 2D platformer, as if it couldn’t be more retro and back when developers took a licence and turned it into a 2D platformer!  I know this link is what they’re going for, but it’s still bonkers to see this. Weirdly though, I’m interested 😂
